  1. no matter what you're playing through... you need to make the patches FOR that, and at the volume you intend to play it... regardless of which device or who makes it..... i suspect that you're probably still in combo mode when using the computer too... since the DT amp will switch it automatically... maybe maybe not... but that could certainly cause a big difference as well.
  2. did you actually go to the m-audio site and get the latest drivers? if not, you'd basically still be using the generic drivers that your cheapie used.
  3. i always hate spending money to end up exactly where i started... i use situations like this to improve things and get ahead. that's what i'd do!
  4. sounds great, you just want to make sure you change the output mode accordingly depending on what you're playing into. i have the DT50, but i think that the DT25 is probably better for most and more popular... I got the DT50 before the DT25's were released.
  5. I'm reasonably confident that a desktop x version would have already come out if it was going to.... i don't think there's anything new coming out for quite some time.
  6. comes with the power cable and the computer/usb cable. you'll just need a cable to go to the amp... or monitors.... and when you get a DT amp an XLR cable.
  7. positive it will live on.... but i do think their insistence on AAX, may have pushed some people to other software.... which can't help their financial issues.
  8. typical guitars wouldnt like be too bothered... but the variax has a circuitboard etc that could easily end badly...
  9. try this: To remove driver 7.3.6 1- On a terminal run this command sudo pkgutil --forget com.line6.driver.xtaudio.package (enter) 2- Then this sudo pkgutil --forget com.line6.driver.xtmidi.package (enter) 3- Reboot To install driver 7.2.9 4- Downloaded driver version 7.2.9 http://line6.com/sof...a.html?rid=5675 5- Run the 7.2.9 driver package to install it and ended the process with a reboot
  10. 1. no 2. no 3. loads of software packages.... but you need an interface... you should have an output on the lowdown though. 4. with an interface :)
  11. mavericks is not officially supported... but should work if you get the right version of java on it.
  12. pretty certain it does send digitally and the pod does the conversion.
  13. here's a video that shows the old way to do it... no idea if it still works... http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/computer-based-recording/computer-audio-set-up-and-troubleshooting/transferring-model-packs-and-hardware-pod-farm-r171 your life will be easier to just plug in for 2 minutes.
  14. they are probably working on it... but its AVID that is having alot of financial trouble.. http://createdigitalmusic.com/2014/02/avid-maker-pro-tools-now-losing-money-faster-delisted-nasdaq/ if you have all your eggs in the pro tools basket... your plug ins may be the least of your worries.
  15. you could always use it as a chance to upgrade... the USA models use hipshot tuners, i don't think that the holes line-up on those though.... i upgraded my older variax to planet wave autotrims... very easy upgrade.
  16. should work automatically with no configuration. there are no tools or any way to change the way it works. i'd suggest trying a different cable (standard network cat5 cable) or inspecting the cable sockets for damage.
  17. there would be some licensing issues with pod farm and the model packs. it would be easiest to just connect and authorize... there was an older offline activation procedure, but i have not tried it since the license manager was released. it involved authorizing on another computer and moving files... kind of a pain.
  18. none of the amp models have been changed since the release of the HD500x. the update was primarily L6LINK enhancements.
  19. if it aint broke don't fix it :) hahha i'd skip the problem one and keep an eye out for the next one...
  20. authorized service centers have access to this info.... call one of them and ask them to get you the part.... they may have a small markup on the part for their time... but that's not unreasonable, since they'll either have to scour tech docs or make calls. maybe they'd just get you the part number... but that's kind of a gray area... since there is nothing in it for them. they are all independent so you never know though.
  21. Have at it... no problems here... if it goes to far off track though... might move to the lounge... but i think alot of amplifi guys will be interested... so no reason to move it now.
  22. the serial number by itself isn't really that important.... can you use edit or record audio from it? the serial number just seems like a symptom of the drivers not working. after you do the uninstall again (my recommendation) try installing drivers 7.2.9 if i recall correctly that worked for some.
  23. for the record any posts that starts with "to the morons..." is kind of an azzhole post. not to mention it was your first post in this thread so noone directed anything to you or at you.... so you were a bit harsh.
  24. the latest is 2.57, maybe you should try going forward to fix your problem..... that and be less of an azzhole too... thanks thats all.
