  1. Well, if it's not working correctly, there's no reason to simply accept it like that. It should be a little hard to click, but it shouldn't be overly difficult. It's worth opening a ticket over.
  2. The toe switch isn't the reason the defective pedals are breaking. That doesn't have anything to do with it, really. It has to do with a flaw in the way the housing is stamped causing a structural weakness at two critical points. Those points are designed to withstand the sort of sheer stress normally encountered when activating the toe switch when stamped correctly. With the housing stamped incorrectly, those points will fail. And, really, if a unit has the flawed housing, it's a matter of when, not if, the housing will fail. If you look at the pictures of the failed units, they've all failed exactly in the same place. As far as the toe switch, I believe it's intentional that the rubber touches the housing before the toe switch hits the plunger (actuator). The rubber is there to give some resistance to the pedal.
  3. I don't know that they've narrowed down a cause yet. It seems to be only happening on some units and not others. I've been running 2.71 on my HX Effects for a while now, and I've not had any issues. Opening up a support ticket is probably the best thing for now. If rolling back to 2.70 works, I'd just do that in the meantime.
  4. When the 2.8 firmware is released, you’ll be able to do this.
  5. You have to assign the EXP AMP command to a footswitch in order to use it. Once it's assigned to a footswitch, you can send the MIDI CC associated with that footswitch to send the command. You can also assign the EXT AMP command to an Instant Command so that it will change with snapshot changes. Again, in order for that to work, though, it also has to be assigned to a footswitch.
  6. Nothing will happen, but that jack isn’t an audio input. It’s solely a charging jack for the transmitter.
  7. You can still download it. It's called FBV Control.

    Snapshots

Yep... Touch both footswitches that each of those two snapshots are assigned to, and a prompt will appear asking you if you want to swap the snapshots. Hit the know that says OK.
  9. The HX Effects doesn’t have any USB audio capabilities, so it can’t be used as an interface for Native if that’s what you’re asking. You are eligible for a discount on Native if you’re an HX Effects owner, though. You can get for it $99 ($70 right now, with the 30% sale they’re having).
  10. It can still be useful as MIDI Thru if you're controlling more pedals down the line. It can also be useful to use the Stomp as master clock even if you can't use it as a full-blown controller.
  11. If you select different effect models for a block the settings that come up for the effect you select will be whatever the defaults are for that effect. This is true even if you go back to the effect that was originally there. So what you're describing is the expected behavior.
  12. Now that I think about this, I do remember this being a bug with HX Edit. It will on the unit itself, though, as you said.
  13. Yes, you can do that. You just have to assign the Input Z parameter to a snapshot controller, just like you would any other parameter you want to change with snapshots.
  14. It was called the Atomic Reactor. Atomic still exists. They now make the Amplifire modeler and the CLR monitors.
  15. Well the one thing is that Guitarport originally came with Gearbox, which was a standalone amp modeler program. POD Farm 2 is a full VST plug-in. There is a standalone version that you'd be able to use, too, but you'd be getting a lot more functionality that Gearbox never had. Your POD Farm license wouldn't be tied to the Guitarport, either. Which, I guess, is one reason why the POD Studio GX costs the same as the software-only POD Farm 2 license. If you get a license for PF2 with the GX, the license is always tied to that device. You have to have that device connected to your computer to use it. With the hardware independent version of PF2, you can use it without any Line 6 device connected. There was a brief time in which Line 6 offered a free upgrade to POD Farm 2 from POD Farm 1 with certain hardware licenses, but beyond that, there hasn't really been upgrade pricing. Occasionally, Line 6 will have sales in the online store where they offer 30% off. Beyond that, I'm not sure what else to tell you...
  16. You may not actually need to use Compatibility Mode to install POD Farm 1.12 on Windows 10. It's worth trying. How long can you honestly expect a company to support a discontinued piece of hardware, though? Line 6 is still updating the drivers for the Guitarport, fortunately, but as far as the software, I'm not sure what you can realistically expect for a piece of hardware that was discontinued 10 years or however long ago it was. The Guitarport will work as an interface for whatever plug-in or standalone modeler you want to use. It's just the original software is no longer supported.
  17. Are you using HX Edit? You need to download and install the latest version of that as well.
  18. Go to Global Settings>Ins/Outs, and on Page 2 of that menu, set Return Type to "Return". I believe it is set "Aux In" by default. So what's happening is the outputs of your distortion pedals are being sent directly to the left and right returns. Setting it to "Return" will make the loops behave as you're expecting.
  19. There is no license for POD Farm 2 included with your Guitarport. You should be able to download and install POD Farm 1.12 for free, however. It can be found here: https://line6.com/software/
  20. I'm not totally clear as to what you're doing here. Are you using the two mono FX Loop blocks? Everything going into the amp/cab block will be summed to mono, so I don't understand your "it's still stereo" statement.
  21. I don't believe there has ever been a firmware update for the Pocket POD, so I'm not sure it will make any difference, really.
  22. I know this is a somewhat old thread, but I hadn't seen it until now. All of the Line 6 wireless systems will work great with bass.
  23. The presets that have the "4CM" preset are set up for the four cable method. They have an FX Loop block in the signal path, so if you aren't connected to an amp via the four cable method, they won't pass audio.
