  1. No, you don’t need two blocks to use a stereo effects loop. You can do it with the single stereo FX Loop block.
  2. The color scheme kind of reminds me of Axe Edit, but, yeah, the panel on the left are very HX Edit-like. The delay and reverb icons are kind of exact copies.
  3. That just indicates there's a conflict or something in the system somewhere. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Line 6 drivers?
  4. How do know it's the Line 6 drivers causing crashes?
  5. Are you running the latest version of HX Edit? Many of these types of problems happen because people install the latest firmware but forget to download and install the latest version of HX Edit.

This is literally what the Fletcher Munson effect is. At softer volume, your ears are more sensitive to the mid-range, and the highs and lows tend to fall into the background. At high volume, the mid-range falls backs, and the highs and lows become more prominent. This is why tones dialed in at volumes lower than what you're gigging with often sound harsh and boomy when you turn them up. The best thing to do is to dial in tones at gig volumes. If you can't do that, you can at least dial back the highs and lows in your tones and focus on getting a nice mid-range.
  7. Through the Helix alone, no, there's no way to control the Ecstasy. The Ecstasy uses a 7-pin cable (not really an XLR cable, more like a custom DIN cable). You could probably do something if you have the Voodoo Lab Control Switcher. I believe Voodoo Lab will make a cable that goes between the Ecstasy and the Control Switcher, and then you could recall presets on the Control Switcher via MIDI from the Helix.
  8. Well, I can assure you that Line 6 isn't trying to make anything difficult... It's just that with anything involving different computers, different operating systems, etc., there are bound to be issues now and then. Have you gone through the standard troubleshooting steps? Have you tried doing a reset on the unit by holding footswitches 2 and 3 while powering up?
  9. The Powercab doesn't have the same sort of speaker configuration as the Firehawk 1500 at all. The PC is using a custom coaxial speaker, meaning it has a 12" woofer with a 1" tweeter coaxially aligned with the woofer. It's a totally different type of system than the Firehawk.
  10. Get a Variax and set the pitch of the E and A strings an octave down...
  11. The Helix doesn't have any feature that would track changes from Ableton like that. So, yeah, if you push a button with a mouse in Ableton that you also have set up to be controlled by the Helix, the dim/lit state on the Helix is going to get misaligned with what's happening in Ableton. There's no way around that.
  12. Yes. It would depend on whether or not you have the Helix enabled as a MIDI over USB device in Guitar Pro.
  13. I'm not near my HX Effects at the moment, so I can't open your presets. But what is the block after the Y-Split for your acoustic preset?
  14. Yep... I've done it. It wasn't a big deal. I didn't have to loosen the neck or remove the pick guard. The opening is angled so the wrench just fits in there.
  15. The complete L6 Link functionality for the Powercab Plus that will allow control along with the audio communication is coming in the 2.8 firmware upgrade.
  16. The dimmers will cause EMF noise, and that can be picked up by your pickups. The dimmers won't produce any sort of interference anywhere near the frequency bands in which the G10 operates though. The most common source of interference for the Line 6 wireless units is wifi or other digital wireless systems. When you used the G10, did you plug the transmitter into the base for 15 seconds prior to using it so it could select the best channel?
  17. Is this a question or a statement? I've used the G10 with my JTV a lot of the last two years. You lose the control and power from the VDI connection, of course, and you have to use the battery, as you said. But, overall it still works great. It just depends what functionality you want more - the control or the freedom of not using a cable. There's nothing really problematic about it, unless you consider using the battery in and of itself to be problematic.
  18. The truss rod access is at the other end of the neck where the heel connects to the body. You don't have to remove the neck to adjust it. You can see the access in this photo of my JTV-69US.
  19. The Preset Mode Switches setting only affects what you see when you're in Preset Mode. It sounds like you were still in Stomp Mode. Stomp Mode will always be the same (although, if you have the Helix or the Rack, you can set Stomp Mode to display 10 stomps, opposed to the Bank Up/Dn switches and 8 stomps).
  20. The new QWERTY functionality that's coming to the Command Center in the 2.8 firmware sounds like it will do what you're talking about.
  21. There is no standalone version of Native. So, yes, you have to have your DAW or some other VST loader open to run it.
  22. With the plain MIDI CC function, the momentary and latching functionality don't have any bearing on how the footswitch functions. It will always simply be a trigger - if you hit that footswitch, that CC with the assigned value will be shot out. It doesn't matter if you have that footswitch set up as momentary or latching. It's simply a trigger that always sends out that command. Again, there's no bug at play here. It's simply the designed functionality and a limitation of the current implementation of the commands in the Command Center. A bug is when something unforeseen or unpredictable. The behavior as it stands now is completely predictable and understandable within the current framework. If you want to assign a momentary functionality to a footswitch, you have to have a block assigned to the footswitch. That will change with the 2.8 firmware, at least to an extent.
  23. This defect affected the first two production batches, but only a certain percentage in each of those batches. One of the metal stamping machines was stamping the housing incorrectly, so that is why the ones that are failing are failing. It seems that most of them have been sold and have been broken by now, but there's always a chance of it popping simply because old stock being sold or someone not using the expression pedal very much. In any case, there is a lifetime warranty for this issue, beyond the standard two year warranty. The simple fact is if you have an LT that experiences this failure, Line 6 will replace it. Here is the official statement from Line 6 support: "Line 6 has determined that a very small percentage of the expression pedals in the Helix LT guitar processor have broken during use. Although they have made adjustments to the manufacturing process that will eliminate this issue going forward, if you own a Helix LT and encounter this problem at any time (in the past, now, or in the future) please know that Line 6 has your back! In order to fix the problem as quickly as humanly possible, they have decided to simply replace the entire unit free of charge. Just let them know if you encounter this issue by opening a support ticket at https://line6.com/support/tickets/ and they will take it from there."
  24. Yes, the transmitters for both products are exactly the same.
  25. This is overly simplified, I'm sure, but I believe the Kemper has a collection of prototypical amp models so when you profile an amp, it decides which of those models its behavior matches most closely and uses that as the basis of the profile. It then sculpts the tone around that. Most Kemper users seem to say it feels very natural, but I've seen a few reviews from people saying that they do notice some underlying similarities from one profile to the next.
