  1. You shouldn't have to have the MIDI out jack set to MIDI thru for it to send MIDI data from the MIDI over USB to that jack. What do you have connected to the MIDI jacks?
  2. Autofilter is an evelope-controlled auto-wah effect.
  3. To me, there are different types of noise. Buzz is something I'd normally associated with a ground loop or 60-cycle hum. Then there's hiss which is more like a white noise that you'd hear with any amp, to some extent. It could be thought of as the noise floor. On a high gain amp, you're raising the noise floor a lot, so there's generally more of that hiss. So if you're hearing more hiss with some amps compared to others, yes, that's normal.
  4. You can copy and paste a preset from one setlist to another in HX Edit. On the unit itself, you can save the current preset anywhere you want by changing the Destination on the bottom of the screen.
  5. Re-sending the PC for the preset that's currently loaded should reload that preset, yes. As far as the tap tempo, go to Global Settings>MIDI/Tempo>Tempo Select and make sure it's set to Preset (or Snapshot). If it's set to Global, the tempo will remain at the tempo you last tapped in even when reloading the preset.
  6. Yes, it just uses a Cat5e cable.
  7. You can use multiple instances if the same Send block, but not of the same Return block. So you could probably do something merging two paths together before the Return. The bigger issue, though, is that the POG 2 is a mono effect, so you would lose any separation of those signals going into it.
  8. The Stomp's MIDI Out/Thru jack doesn't pass MIDI sysex commands, which is what Nixie uses, I believe.
  9. Technically, the M-Audio pedal isn't supported. Just out of curiosity, can you see what happens if you leave the pedal plugged into the EXP2 jack and unplug the other pedal from the EXP1 jack?
  10. Go to Global Settings>Preferences>Pedal 2 Jack and make sure you have it set EXP 2. What type of expression pedal is it?
  11. I'm pretty sure they're 12dB per octave. I believe the high and low cuts in the cab and IR blocks are 6dB per octave.
  12. You could still have amp connected via the 4CM and have a dry output, but there's not enough outputs to have another stereo out go to a recording interface, unless I'm misunderstanding how you want things set up. But for the 4CM you'd need an FX Loop and one of the 1/4" outs.
  13. Either will work. It is setup for N/O by default, but if you want to use N/C, just go to Global Settings>Preferences>Tip Polarity and Ring Polarity and set them to "Invert".
  14. A refund for a product that's a few years old? Good luck with that... Line 6 will gladly help you out. Open up a support ticket here: https://line6.com/support/tickets/add.html
  15. Path 1 (or 1A and 1B) use on processor and Path 2 (or 2A and 2B) use the other on the Helix. So you always know which blocks are being supported by which processor.
  16. Not sure where you got the weights you listed, but the LT weighs 12.5 lbs and the Stomp weighs 1.75 lbs. But, yes, the modeling on the Stomp is exactly the same as on the Helix. It has half the processing power, though. So if you can create a patch on the LT using only six blocks on one processor path, you could recreate that on the Stomp.
  17. 1. Yes. HX Edit is the editor for all the hardware pieces in the Helix platform. 2. You could put a Send block as the first block in your chain and use the associated 1/4" Send jack as a dry output. Just leave the Dry Thru parameter on the Send block at 0.0dB.
  18. There could be any number of reasons why you're having problems with a particular plug-in. Honestly, you won't get very far in the DAW world if you take that sort of attitude towards every company you have any issue with... How about giving some details of your system, what DAW you're using, etc?
  19. Most likely a hardware issue of some kind. It could be dead pixels in the display, or it could be something like a loose connection of some sort. In any case, Line 6 will repair or replace it for you (most likely they'll replace it).
  20. The EV30 will work. There's a few things to do. First, you need to use a TS cable, not a TRS cable (which I think the EV30 comes with). Second turn the little knob for whichever side of the EV30 you're using to the maximum position. Finally, go to Global Settings>Pedals and set the polarity for whichever EXP you're using to "Invert".
  21. That’s normal, but there’s a global setting to disable it. Go to Global Settings>MIDI/Tempo and set PC Send to off.
  22. The only plug-ins where third party content licenses would come into play is software using samples. Something like Superior Drummer or Steven Slate Drums, or even a soft-synth would use actual audio samples, and there are actual licenses associated with that content. POD Farm is simply an amp and effects modeler. There are no third party samples involved. The only license you need to worry about is the license for POD Farm itself, and the license for your copy of POD Farm is attached to the POD Studio GX you bought.
  23. POD Farm is just a guitar processor plug-in, not unlike a hardware effects unit as far the recording you make from it. You can do whatever you want with it. Copyright doesn't come into play.
