  1. +1 to Zap This is normal operation, not just fo rthe POD X3, but ASIO USB interfaces in general. Are recording with the POD X3 or sending MIDI to it? If not, don't connect it to the computer. Otherwise, you should be able to make your PC's soundcrard the default playback device in the control panel. If it reverts back when you plug-in the X3 just change it before you start jamming, you shouldn't have to reboot.
  2. Also try installing and running POD Farm 1.12, it replaces Gearbox for KB37

  4. +1 to Zap. Also double check those power settings. Here's a USB Troubleshooting guide. http://line6.com/support/docs/DOC-4282 And if you still have issues you can open a ticket. http://line6.com/support/tickets/add.html
  5. I would try all available USB ports and see if there is any difference.
  6. For ASIO settings I usually have it set to 256 @ 24 bit depth. For Tone Direct I am usually 1 notch form the smallest. But you may need different settings depending on your computers configuration/performance.
  7. In the video, they are using it as a plug-in in real time. Depending on your version of PT you may also be able to use the GX as your interface.
  8. Run the newest version of Monkey to make sure everything is current. http://line6.com/software/ I would also try a different USB cable just to be sure.
  9. Always turn you monitors On Last and Off First to avoid loud pops.
  10. I typically have the volume on the monitors set relatively high and use the Master volume of the UX. I usually use 48KHz 24-bit depth. The 96Khz is with a sample rate conversion and would be a function of your DAW.
  11. Are you new the UX1? Is this a "black faced" POD Studio? If you run the newest version of Monkey do you have green ticks for drivers, firmware and POD Farm? Maybe you're overlooking a minor detail. Have you adjusted the faders in POD Farm's mixer view?
  12. What happens if you set the sample rate in the Line6 Audio-MIDI control panel?
  13. Do you have a choke on your USB cable?
  14. Try keeping the volume of the amp model to 2 o'clock or less for starters. What are you monitoring with?
  15. Yeah, I'm already getting sick of my own signature!! I liked it at first, but now the novelty has worn off. But Zap is correct, that sign does not display anything that you already can not access yourself.
  16. Sure you can. It just needs to be recognized via USB.
  17. +1 to Zap. You need the use Line6 ASIO. Run the Monkey to make sure you have the most current drivers. If you still have problems here's a video you can check to make sure you didn't miss a step.
  18. If it started not being recognized after you remove the PCI card, I would confirm in the device manager that your USB are working correctly. Also, is there another PC you can try it on?
  19. My guess is to be a world record holder. Not my thing either. This guy here was denied the record due to lack of evidence. But I thouhg the 999 bitmap was funny.
  20. Just for clarification, you are using the most recent Monkey, drivers and firmware? http://line6.com/software/ Is it possible you have the mic input to high are a model/effect with too much can in your signal chain?
  21. If it sounds like what I think it sounds like, then yes the PO HD can do it. I will post a sample later tonite or Friday nite. Not sure if it what the effect on the Adrenalline sounds like, just what I am picturing.
  22. Except for a coaster, Frisbee®, or maybe installation art
