  1. The TT can be used as your soundcard. It can store 100 presets, but currently there is no PC editor, you need an Android or iOS device for editing tones with the AMPLIFi Remote app. The amp models and effects are based on the POD Farm series which is essentially what you had with the Toneport.
  2. Do you have the volume pedal disabled in the C preset?
  3. Where in your signal chain is the TT and how is it connected? The guitar and overall volume should not affect the amount wet/dry that is applied to the input.
  4. Make sure you are selecting Line In in POD Farm.
  5. +1 to BillBee Forget about Gearbox (except as an editor for the PODxt or POD X3 units). If it is a red Toneport, you can use POD Farm 1.12 for free (and possibly, but not likely, POD Farm 2 dependent on the date it was first registered). If it is a black POD Studio you most likely will be able to use POD Farm 2 for free (depends on the date it was first registered). Neither of these are recording software. POD Farm (and previously Gearbox) is used to get your audio to your DAW and to process the amp models and effects. You still need a DAW to record (Digital Audio Workstation). Do you remember what software you were using to record before Win10?
  6. Good chance you need to update the firmware. You can do this via Bluetooth and your iPhone or via USB with a PC and the Line6 Updater (free download).
  7. +1 The current offering is EZ Drummer 2 and is very intuitive to use. They really do put the EZ in Drumming!! I also use Superior Drummer 2, it's a BEAST!!
  8. Try updating the driver by running the driver installer first.
  9. I think the AUX in is stereo on that amp. If so I would recommend using the AUX in with a 2 1/4' mono to 1/8" stereo cable. Example: https://www.amazon.com/Hosa-CMP-153-Stereo-Breakout-Cable/dp/B000068O3C
  10. you can google Line6 MaxDread. Or do a google site search: site:Line6.com MaxDread Note, if you do a site search you may need to prefix Line6 with a country or wild card if you are looking for posts from outside the US. Example site:*.line6.com MaxDread
  11. Except of course for the pedals you have going in front of the xt. Many pedals that has their own power source may act as a preamp.
  12. As BillBee mentions, the POD HD (500 and Pro) can pad the input, (the desktop bean cannot). The UX2 also has a guitar pad input that you can use if you are clipping the regular guitar input (GX and UX1 does not). If you are just wanting to get an unprocessed guitar signal into your DAW, the POD HD would be overkill.
  13. I know, So am I !! :) The only way I know of is to dim the signal before it goes into the POD, like roll off the guitar volume, adjust pick-up height, something between guitar and POD....but then you're altering your tone. Yeah, the channel volume will only affect the processed signal. I guess another work around would be to create a transparent as possible patch and send the processed signal and use the channel volume.
  14. That really depends on your workflow. All the settings look good. Is it possible the clipping is occurring somewhere in the monitoring? Can you post a snapshot of the waveforms that are too loud/clipping?
  15. There are no no software controls that will alter the unprocessed guitar signal sent from the PODxt via USB. You likely already have, but can you confirm in the Line6 Audio-MIDI control panel that you are sending the unprocessed signal and not reamping? Can you post a snapshot of your device selection in your DAW?
  16. Make sure your are selecting Line6 ASIO as your device in your DAW.
  17. The TT is a preamp. You cannot go directly into a cab, you need a power amp. You can go direct into a PA.
