  1. By free POD Farm, are referring to the trial version? If so, yes, however, there are a limited number of models in the free trial version.
  2. Except for the HD bean :(
  3. One of the Line In's. But if you need to play guitar thru the UX2 simultaneously you could try the PAD input but keep the level in check on your drum machine.
  4. Depends on your budget. The POD works well with studio monitors, and a worthwhile investment if you plan on recording/mixing.
  5. Are you referring to the levels meters in your DAW after you apply a plug-in? If you are capturing the unprocessed signal, no amount of adjusting amp models (or any models) should affect the signal strength your DAW is capturing via USB.
  6. Are you capturing the unprocessed or processed signal? It's totally normal for the dry to be weak, it provides more headroom for plug-ins. I like to capture both then apply the plug-in to the dry post processing. Either way, it is not required to use the PAD with active pups, if you are not clipping using the normal input use which is easier for your workflow.
  7. I think Line6 recommends high impedance headphones for the PODxt and HD. That being said many users have no issues with low impedance headphones. I have a pair of Sony MDR-7506 which are low impedance have no issues with the FX100, which is essentially the same hardware. But yeah, you will definitely want to tweak your patches differently for you amp and headphones. Headphones will be closest to the sound you would get if you record direct via USB. With amps, in addition to coloring the sound, patches will sound different at different volume levels. (Lookup Fletcher–Munson curves)
  8. Not sure if it has changed, but Audacity cannot run real ASIO drivers out-of-the box due to Steinberg licensing, but you can compile Audacity to be ASIO compatible.
  9. Did you run the newest version of the Monkey to update the drivers?
  10. I wonder it it is an iOS thing, There was a (different) app that I could not sign in with an iPhone but could on an Android. Glad you got it sorted though.
  11. http://line6.com/support/tickets/ At the top of the page you can navigate to this link via Support>>Technical Support>>Contact Support
  12. No problem. If it were me, I would submit a support ticket or give them a call.
  13. Are you saving it to A1? If so try saving it to any of the other 99 slots. Note sure if this is a known bug but I have seen other users report issues when saving to A1.
  14. Confirmed. I am able to use Gearbox with a POD Studio UX2. Also, you can authorize any purchased model packs on up to 4 compatible devices.
  15. I can double check later tonite, but I'm pretty sure I have run Gearbox with a POD Studio in the past, granted I'm still on Win7.
  16. I think whether or not you can get Gearbox to run would depend on your pc as Gearbox is no longer supported. But you should have access any model packs that you purchased.
  17. You cannot re-amp with the TT. You might consider a POD Studio UX1 or UX2. AMPLFi Tones are interchangeable with the entire AMPLIFi series.
  18. Nothing from the AMPLIFi series. You could use a POD Studio UX1 or UX2.
  19. I don't have an official answer, but you are ok using balanced or unbalanced cables into balance ins. Balanced vs unbalanced really is not an issue for short distances.
  20. You cannot transfers tones from PF to HD, two totally different algorithms. That being said, IMHO, the HD tones far surpass the PF tones, but may have a steeper learning curve. Also, tones sound totally different depending on the the volume, so even a PF tone you love could sound like total junk at gigging levels. And costume tones, too many variables concerning gear, signal chain, technique... I would suggest browsing the HD forums for some tips on tone creation.
