  1. Pretty much, a good power amp will not color your sound as much as a guitar amp though. Some people use the HD mostly for effects in the effects loop, using the guitar amp for overdrive and hi gain.
  2. There are to versions of POD Farm, standalone and plug-in. The standalone version you launch outside of the DAW, the plug-in you launch within your DAW. The standalone can be used to configure what you send to your DAW via the Mixer view. A typical workflow is to send clean and wet while monitoring the wet, then add the plug-in to the dry post processing.
  3. You need to submit a support ticket or call Line6, this is a user forum and not a direct channel to Line6 support.
  4. If you have not already, please see this article from the Knowledge Base. http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/amplifi-products/ampl/4-tone-lights-flashing-on-amplifi-3075150tt-r713 Also, if it was not previously on a firmware that supports Andriod, the only way to update via Bluetooth is with an iOS device.
  5. You cannot power cabinets with the POD alone, you would need a power amp to drive the cabs. There are other options with guitar amps, search 4CM (Four Cable method). Or you can use powered loud speakers or studio monitors. It really depends on what situations you plan on using the POD with.
  6. The latency you are hearing is from your DAW out to your 5.1 When recording via USB and monitoring directly from the POD HD the latency should be unnoticeable. I do not having any specific recommendations, but you should be able to get entry level studio headphones for under $100 or a pair of monitors for $200 USD. I having been using the Sony-MDR 7506 for over 10 years https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/buy/Headphones/ci/12572/N/3753775955 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ns=p_PRICE_2%7c0&ci=8617&setNs=p_PRICE_2%7c0&N=3992462085&srtclk=sort&origSearch=Studio%20Monitors
  7. Too BigChase52's point, how are you monitoring? Monitors or headphones connected directly to the HD?
  8. Run Line6 Monkey to much sure you have the most recent driver.
  9. Try with a fresh reboot and make sure you have all the TT updates. Do you have Product Manager from TT? Also, if any other application explicitly grabs the Line ASIO driver, TT standalones may not see it.
  10. Are you selecting the Line6 HD ASIO as your device in Reaper?
  11. I would recommend you demo one if you can. The C channel out of the box may not be the best option, but I think you will be able to easily dial in good clean jazz tones. You may already know, but the TT can store 100 presets.
  12. A cabinet alone will not work, you would need a power amp to drive the cab, a powered PA / Loud speaker will work. The FX100 works well with active (active = powered) studio monitors too. If the budget allows I would recommend a pair, especially if you use stereo effects and/or plan om recording. If it's going to be more of a studio setting I would go with studio monitors, if you want to take them to different locations I would go with powered PA / Loud speakers.
  13. Download Monkey from the website and use that to update the drivers. Is this a Black-Faced POD Studio or a Red-Faced Toneport?
  14. Which OS Mac? The current PF is v2.59 http://line6.com/software/readeula.html?rid=6716 Also, on my end, I am able to DL both 2.59 and 2.58, maybe it was a temporary thing.
  15. Try using POD Farm 1.1, those files should be compatible with the xt.
  16. I would recommend calling Line6 or opening a support ticket. @ t5jelrnf4 Gearbox is no longer supported for the UX2, if you have an old Red faced Toneport download POD Farm 1.1, if you have a black faced POD Studio you may be able to use POD Farm 2.5.
  17. Do you have your speakers and/or headphones connected to the UX2?
  18. It should work if it is not a condenser mic. Good chance you are not set up properly in POD Farm or the Line6 Audio-MIDI control panel. If you are using PF make sure to select Mic as the source. If you are not using POD Farm make sure to select Mic as the source in the Line6 control panel.
  19. That tripped me up a bit at first. I just made a point of never hitting it. You could post the suggestion on IdeaScale which Line6 reads. if you do feel free to post a link in the forums to help get it voted up. http://line6.ideascale.com/
  20. Did you download the driver? Here is an article from the Knowledge Base. http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/amplifi-products/ampl/how-to-update-amplifi-3075150fx100tt-with-w-r701 Let us know how it goes.
  21. I would recommend opening a support ticket or call Line6 directly.
  22. If you run the Line6 Monkey do you have green ticks for drivers?
