    POD Farm 1.12 replaces Gearbox. The version that comes with the UX8 is standalone only. POD Farm 2 would be an upgrade and would also add the plug-in version.

    Did you purchase any additional model packs or POD Farm 2? If not, all you need to do is unregistered (assuming you registered it).

    Run the Line6 Monkey to make sure your drivers are up to date. You can configure the UX2 inputs with either POD Farm’s mixer view or Line6 Audio MIDI control panel. If this is a POD Studio (black faced) you should have POD Farm 2. You should be using Line6 ASIO drivers, so you may want to check Audacity’s wiki on compiling Audacity to support ASIO or try a different DAW.

    I would try logging out, quit the app, restart, and log back in.

    The ¼†jack can be used for both mags and modeling. The JTV comes with an interface to connect to Workbench.

    What is the error message? Are you trying to save to My Tones or the FX100?

    The FX100 holds 100 presets, you have to send it to your hardware and it will overwrite whatever slot you send it to.

    It should be in the Line6 folder in the Start menu.

    If you have old projects with the Gearbox or PF1 plug-in that you care about and do not want to translate them to PF2. There should be a Line6 uninstaller utility.

    There is no download for the bundle for the UX2, the authorization just unlocks the models. In POD Farm you can see all the models, but if any belong to a pack you do not own they will be greyed out. If you had a PODxt then you would may need to flash the firmware, so in that sense it's sort of a download.

    Not sure I understand what you are asking. A Line6 Variax is a guitar capable of modeling different guitars.

    You're not missing a thing!! The 4CM is if you what to be able toggle between using your amp's preamp color or the POD's amp sims.

    Have you tried updating the drivers with Monkey? Also, you should be able to open patches in Gearbox even if the POD is not connected. You could also try downloading POD Farm 1 and open the patch to see the settings, and you may even have a PF1 plug-in license inculded with your X3 depending on when you purchased it.

    Create a new folder and copy and/or rename your presets. Then use the file open instead of the dropdown.

    VST and Standalone are two different workflows, let's figure out the Standalone first. How are you monitoring the UX1? In the PF mixer view you configure what is sent to your DAW, there are 4 possible channels to send. Likewise in Reaper, after you select the Line6 ASIO driver, you need to enable which channel(s) you want to receive.

    Yeah, it's been a while for me too, but I do remember successfully using Audacity with my PODxt, without Line6 ASIO drivers. But it was only as an exercise. I was using Sony Acid at the time, but due to lack of support I jumped to Reaper.

    This is configured in the Mixer view of POD Farm. You can capture 4 tracks simultaneously, Dry L/R and Wet L/R A common work flow is to capture a dry and wet stereo tracks then apply the PF plug-in to the dry track post processing with the wet track serving as a reference.

    Audacity does not support ASIO out of the box. You can however compile it to include ASIO support, check their site. You could also try Reaper, it is free to demo.
