  1. Sorry, the cymbals nearly sliced my ears off. Horrendous mix. Needs more work.
  2. I haven’t seen any other reports of this happening, so it maybe nothing. If you have your headphones connected in the correctly labelled Jack socket on the rear, and you Global Settings > Ins/Outs page 3 Phones Monitor is set to “Main L/R”, all should be functioning normally. If not, and because this will be a brand new unit, raise a ticket with Line 6 Customer Support and have it replaced immediately under warranty. One, more thing, are you certain that your headphones are O.K? You didn’t mention a brand or model and/or impedance. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  3. If this is the sort of thing you find you are doing a lot then why not do this:- Scenario: Add an Amp block and a Cab block as part of a chain. Get the Amp block and Cab block setup, and then when you realise that you need to split between two cabs, or an IR block, simply add the another Cab or IR block and drag down to second path. That option has been available right from the start. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  4. Mmm... palm muted, Edge, David Gilmour style - try this. Hope this helps/makes sense.

Well, surprisingly, there are reports here, and over on The Gear Page, that this stuff does work, both with and without Rosetta. IIRC, the main sticking point is the new M1 Mac architecture. YMMV.
  6. Hi, I have to agree with “HonestOpinion” in the post above. From your description, I’m guessing that you have applied the drop tuning using the Pitch Wham effect block which is variable. Instead, if you use the Simple Pitch block to detune the half step, then that will not vary when you use the wah pedal. If it still switches back to 440 after applying the suggested changes, let us know and please give a little more detail about the settings, or better yet, upload the preset so we can check it out for problems. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  7. his might be relevant too your situation, re Ableton Live 11. Hope this helps/makes sense
  8. Hi, You could try this:- Hope this helps/makes sense.
  9. A little research is a good thing. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  10. Hi, Mooer Baby Bomb 30. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  11. Hi, Yes, simply split the signal path into two, then put the looper and delay, mod fx on the lower path and the unaffected signal will continue along the top path. Also you can add whatever fx you like on the top path after the split point. See “Serial vs Parallel Routing” page 19 Helix Owner’s Manual. The same applies with the Rack, LT, HX Stomp etc. Check the user manuals. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  12. Hi, Hold down FS5 & FS12 while powering up your Helix - this clears EVERYTHING. I hope you have backed up your own presets previously, then you can re-install v 3.01 and your presets as mentioned by “HonestOpinion” in the post above. Hope this helps/ makes sense.
  13. As noted by "brue58ski" in the post above the setlist count like this: There are 128 presets in a setlist - 8 setlists for a total of 1024 presets in the device. They are numbered squentially from Setlist 1 Preset 1A to Setlist 8 preset 32D. Preset number 347 would be in the third setlist NOTE: Every time you update the firmware the hardware unit will go through the process of updating the presets to make them compatible with the latest version. Every time you load a setlist or bundle or older preset that was created by earlier firmware the process will start again. If it encounters a "bad" preset it will stall. you have the option to reset the hardware and make a note of where the problem is (eg: preset 347) and open the back up file within HX Edit and then repair, or remove, the faulty preset. Basically you are dealing with computer, albeit one that does one particular thing, but a computer nonetheless. Stuff can get corrupted. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  14. Hi, I don’t think that it is a preset that ships with the HX Native plugin as such. IIRC. Sean Halley did it as a demo, but the clue is in the name - use a US Deluxe Nrm Amp block plus 4x12 Greenback 25 cabinet, with a 121 Ribbon mic at 1.0 inches distance and then add a simply delay to suit. Play around till it sounds right for you. or you could try here: https://line6.com/customtone/search/?submitted=1&family=helix&search_term=Clean+luxury Hope this helps/makes sense.
  15. If you have tried everything suggested here, and none of those who originally posted with similar situations have replied, your best solution is to contact Customer Support and raise a ticket. They may have a solution that we here are unaware of. My greatest wish is that when people have posted in here in a complete state of panic, that they would at the very least return to post a solution or update for others. Oh, yeah, also when requesting assistance, it’s a big help to know what computer system and hardware unit is, plus what version of the firmware you are upgrading from and to. Simply saying “nothing works” is not enough. Good luck.
  16. Hi Dave, Follow the instructions in the above post from “rd2rk”, and if you need to perform a factory reset - here ya go. Helix Floor/LT: Turn unit off and then back on. Hold in Footswitches 9 +10 right after you turn the unit on, throughout the boot process, until you see that your factory presets are loading. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  17. Hi, First thing - Line 6 don’t actively monitor these forums, these are simply for other users to try to help each other out of problems. If you really feel the need to get a direct response, you can contact Customer Support directly and raise a ticket about you issue with Native. Next - Many, many people have complained about the Registration/Copy Protection, you are not alone. You only need to be online to complete the registration process, after that it’s not a requirement of using HX Native. Obviously, you don’t appear to be getting past the registration stage. You mention WiFi interruptions, if that’s the issue, is it not possible to connect via Ethernet just to get past the initial run. Also, ensure that you don’t have any firewall or anti-virus software running in the background that might screw up the connection. And, I also keep to the old rules when using this stuff and have been using Native on a couple of Macs since August 2017. Having said that, when I bought the full version after trying the demo for 15 days, I had big problems trying to get it to stay registered - it kept going back to being the demo. Anyhow in this thread a guy mentions something about an “adapter” on the PC. Check it out and see if it helps you. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  18. Short answer - YES! See the post from “codamedia” above. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  19. Thanks, I thought that it seemed to be rather strange if you couldn’t swap presets. I was rather baffled that the only version of the manual that I could find made a featured note that it wasn’t possible. Not being an HXFX owner I fell into the trap of regarding the published details to be correct. That will teach me! I will strike my previous comment in case someone else believes it. EDIT: I found a copy of the HXFX Owner’s Manual v3.0 and page 16 contains the same featured note about the files being incompatible, yet the HX Edit Pilot’s Guide Rev. P (v3.00) explains the drag and drop function is fully compliant. Mark me confused, and let’s hope that D.I. has done a full proofreading session for the next update to the manuals.
  20. Hi, I said that I was going to stop doing this, but here we go again! First go to the "DOWNLOADS" menu at the top of this page and from "-ALL HARDWARE-" select Helix, then leave the "-ALL SOFTWARE-" as it is, now select your Mac OS from under the "-ALL OS-" tab, then click “GO”. From the next page you can select HX Edit 3.01 for your Helix, then below that you will also need the Firmware 3.01 Flash Memory. Also right at the top of the page you will find Line 6 Updater version 1.20 released 3/16/21 Download all these items to your computer and note where they are. On your Mac it will be your downloads folder. Ensure that HX Edit is closed and that you have your Helix connected to your Mac by USB cable (do not use a hub, some front USB ports on PCs act like a hub, so use one of the ports on the back) and hold down Foot Switches 6&12 while turning the power on. This will put your Helix into “Safe Boot” mode, and you may see a black, or error screen, but just keep going. Now, disconnect from the internet, or any other applications that may be running, and launch the Updater Utility that you downloaded and then select "Offline Mode". Your Helix and current firmware version should now show up in the window, click on the dark green coloured band and you should now have the option to select a local file - click “Choose File”, point it at the Flash Memory file you downloaded and let it get on with the update. Do not allow your computer to enter “sleep/power saving mode” during the update. When it completes you can install the new HX Edit v.3.01software and you should be good to go. Please ensure that you are using the v3.01 Edit and not an alias back to a previously installed version. No guarantees are given or implied, you do this at your own risk. If it doesn’t work, raise a ticket with Customer Support. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  21. Hi, To save me having to spend time typing out stuff, you may want to check this for clues. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  22. Hey up Buggaluggz, This should clarify how to patch in your EHX pedal when using a 4 cable set up. It covers the whole thing, but adding an external pedal starts @ around 3.33mins. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  23. As noted by “scrapperstoo” in the post above, Global Settings > Preferences > Bypass type (manual page 41): When pressing the Upper and Lower knobs together (or a footswitch assigned to "All Bypass"), HX Stomp bypasses all blocks. There are two types of All Bypass in HX Stomp—Choose "Analog" if you want to your guitar's signal routed directly from the HX Stomp inputs to its outputs, with no processing or A/D/A conversion (also called "true bypass"). Choose "DSP" if you want delay echoes and reverb tails to decay naturally when HX Stomp is bypassed. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  24. Oh, well, it was worth a try. As I mentioned earlier, I don’t have a Stomp, but my understanding is that, via the Command Centre, absolutely anything can be mapped to any footswitch on the unit. It probably gives some information it in the Owner’s Manual, may be worth checking in there. EDIT: found this quote over on TGP, from Frank Ritchotte (Operations Director at YGG) Does HX Stomp have true analog bypass? Yes. You may choose either analog bypass or DSP bypass with trails. To bypass everything press the upper and lower knobs together (or assign a footswitch to All Bypass). https://www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/hx-stomp-tone-suck-and-other-fun-stuff.1995168/ Hope this helps/makes sense.
  25. Hi, I use a Helix floor unit, but f I recall correctly, I read somewhere that you should try running it with the volume knob turned up to max for unity gain and that solves the “under a blanket” tone. Here is a quote that I found: ”I disabled the volume for everything except the headphones out. This way I'm always at unity and don't have to worry about where the volume knob is.” Hope this helps/makes sense.
