  1. Here you go! This zip file (attached below) contains 2 folders - One has the presets without amp and/or cab, but also please note, NO Send/Return blocks either? EDIT: there is also one file named "Fathom Pure" which is completely blank. The other folder contains the preset files with amps and cabs, extracted from the setlist bundle which you supplied. I still don't think that they are fully recovered, but it's a start. Hope this helps/makes sense. HX Stomp Recovered Files.zip
  2. Hi, The 1/4” outputs on the Stomp XL will work exactly like your Helix using XRL out, as long as you use TRS balanced cables.Ease of use and direct to FOH is precisely the way it designed, but to keep it small it doesn’t have dedicated XLR sockets. For a run down of features, check the video from Steve Sterlacci, that posted in this thread. Hope this helps makes sense.
  3. Hi, Just to make certain, I also did the same thing as "CraigGT", and dragged your setlist file into HX Edit 3.01. All the user presets appear to work fine, but what confused me was the first 30 plus presets didn't contain an Amp and/or Cab? Although, at the other end of the setlist, the last couple of dozen presets did have the Amp an Cab included, so maybe the others were test files? No matter what - the setlist file that you uploaded here does contain some presets. Only you can know if they are correct. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  4. Maybe you should change your handle to 'TwitchyBlackCat", because it all seems to freak you out! It's not six months since you were "twitched" about the power switch on a new HX Stomp, then some one had opened the box on the new LT, and OMG a possible failed install. Settle down and enjoy the unbridled fun, but read the instruction manual first. ;-)
  5. Oh, dear! Hours of unbridled fun, eh? As you have been lurking on this forum for quite a while now, I thought that you might have read all those “Update bricked my Helix, please help” posts along with the solutions offered, but, hey! Seriously, you might have to re-install the firmware, or maybe not - anyhow, turn of the power to your LT, then turn it back on again while holding down foot-switches 9 & 10 for the Factory Reset option. If that fails you may need to use “Safe Boot”, the Line 6 Updater and a local flash memory bundle to preform a re-install of v3.01.0 It’s either this or sitting in a corner quietly sobbing until v3.1 arrives to take the pain out of updating firmware. Of course you did read this - didn’t you? The bit in red under Step Tres Hope this helps/makes sense
  6. Please give more information as to how you are connecting you Stomp to your Mac. Also, the latest driver for Mac OS, is v. 1.1.0 released 16 March 2021 to add support for HX Stomp XL. I have had a Helix floor unit via USB connected to my iMac Retina 5k since 2015 - no issues with recording or playback from Logic and other DAWs, plus audio from iTunes, YouTube etc. Check your connection in Audio/MIDI setup on your Mac.
  7. The OP say OS Mojave (10.14.6) in the title, and it’s probably going to be more like a user error than a driver - it’s a completely different world over here in Macland. ;-)
  8. That is the type of mistake that you will only make once. Next time you will have to make sure that you save your presets individually and also as setlists. That way you can always rebuild things easily. Also, check in case you may have made a previous back up that could contain some of your work.
  9. Well, I guess that wouldn’t be Captain Lee, they are usually pretty good at replying to email, but also because they are charging £40 more than most U.K. retailers for the HXLT. I’m with “cruisinon” and “silverhead” on this one. Check the serial number, and Firmware version and anything other than default setlists etc. If it has been updated - great, one less hoop to jump through. If it works as expected, but shows signs of being previously used, then you should request an “open box” discount. As for replies to emails - give it a day, then chase it up. Your buyers rights are unaffected, (check with your local Trading Standards office), and if it’s a flakey unit have it swapped for a new one. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  10. Hi, You must use the same version of HX Edit and the Firmware, otherwise you will have problems - as you have discovered. With a little luck your setlist will be restorable. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  11. Hi, This is something you really need to discuss with the dealer, preferably before you remove it from the packaging and plug in. Also, photographs of the broken seal, or any other tampering, may help. There again, if you take out out of the box, plug in, and all is as it should be - does it really matter? If it is faulty now, and at any time during the warranty period, simply have it replaced. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  12. Whoa, is this something from the beta test?
  13. You are not making this very clear. Do you mean that the "Poly Pitch" block actually can be selected, but the "Interval" and "Shift Time" do not work? If you updated your Helix to v3.01 you should be able to select the "Poly Pitch" block from within the menu - Pitch/Synth >Mono> Poly Pitch. If this is available to you on the Helix hardware, but it doesn't appear in the your HX Edit program, the please ensure that the HX Edit version is also v3.01. If you cannot find Poly Pitch on the Helix hardware then you must ensure that it is definitely updated to v.3.01 firmware. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  14. Hi Nick, Good to know that you are getting a replacement Helix, but for future reference, you can only update vis USB from a computer, because you need to use HX Edit to do the update and it is not available as an iPad or Android app. Good luck with your new Helix.
  15. Once again, you are not giving much to go on. The FS7 & 8 combination is the regular factory reset procedure. You don’t say if that has cleared the “-:28” problem. If it has, then your Helix should be fine. If not, then use the “Safe Boot” (FS6 &12) start up then connect the USB and reflash the memory in the Helix using the Line 6 Updater app and the flash memory bundle. You don’t say what computer and OS you are using, and it’s big help to know this stuff, but if you are using a Mac, follow the instruction that I gave in this thread. The same instruction apply if you are using Window, but make sure you select your OS from the -ALL OS- menu option before clicking go. Other than that, if you know where you downloaded the files simply follow the routine described. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  16. You must be referring to the small -28 that appears in red at the top left of the Helix screen when attempting to reboot after updating. O.K. Let’s see if we can fix this, as it could be one of several things that has glitched in the hardware. First thing to try is this: Turn off your Helix and close all Line6 and other audio software. Unplug the USB cable from the Helix and the computer. Now reinstall HX Edit 3.01 - when you get to the options section of the install, leave them all checked. Now reconnect the USB cable to your computer and Helix, then startup the Helix while holding down FS6 and FS12 which puts it into update mode. Then start the update process again. Hope this helps
  17. Cool - Glad you are now fully updated 3.01 - Get ready for the next update soon - yay!
  18. Hi Stuart, First things first, let's get you up and running. Right now you have managed to download and install HX Edit v3.01, but for some unknown reason it refuses to update your HX Rack to the latest firmware. Before anything else, please ensure that you have a backup of the current state of your Helix, use HX Edit to perform the back up - you will need it later. O.K. you have got the Updater application running, but please ensure that it is the latest version - 1.20 (released 16 Feb 21) - if not go to the downloads page and from under - ALL SOFTWARE - select Line 6 Updater and from under -ALL OS- select Mac OS X then click GO and from the next page download it to your Mac. Next, from under - ALL SOFTWARE - select Flash Memory and once again from under -ALL OS- select Mac OS X and then GO. on the next page select the second item down which is version 3.01.0 for the Helix Rack - click on the blue GET DOWNLOAD button and it should land in you Mac downloads folder. Now install the current Line 6 Updater app and ensure the no other version is lurking on your Mac (there can be problems with stray alias versions). Now with your Rack connected via USB launch Line 6 Updater and then at the top of the screen where it says "Local file" select the option which says "Chose File" you can then select the Firmware file that will be in your Downloads folder. The firmware will probably be named "HELIX_Rack_v3.01.0_0x5a8c6f191_bundle.hxf" - when it sees it, click "Update" and this should now transfer across into your Rack unit. When the update is done wait until you see that you rack hardware is going through the "Rebuilding Presets" routine. Once completed you should be good to go. Quit from the updater and launch HX Edit 3.01 and then reload your backup file into the rack. That should do it. As for Logic, try again after the update and see if it is any better - I use Logic Pro X almost daily with my Helix floor and have no issues. Hope this helps /makes sense
  19. You should re-install HX Edit v.3.01 and that should fix the driver issue!
  20. Hi, Did you try to fix it by using the suggestion that I posted about re-installing the Firmware, or are you stuck because cannot get the hardware to boot into update mode? If you cannot get it to boot, then you may need to raise a ticket with Customer Support. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  21. As with the previous replies above, but this is additional insight - Hope it helps!
  22. Once more, your analogy is rather odd - somewhat like looking down the wrong end of the telescope (that's another) It would possibly be better to say: ”It’s like telling someone, who already has a turbocharger installed, to ‘take the bus’ as it’s way cheaper. Better yet, walk - that costs nothing”. You also ask - “Can we just discuss the merits of THIS idea?” Well, yes, but as it doesn’t appear to have any, and as “phil_m” pointed out, the likelihood of this ever appearing are somewhere south of nil - then all this is rather pointless. Furthermore, it really is not a matter of: "No. That's not the way I do it. Stop talking about things I'm not interested in." I’m very interested in the Helix and it’s ongoing development, as I was an early adopter and jumped onboard right at the start, way back in 2015. Lots of interesting and useful things have been added over the years since and I love all of them, but Line 6 have also said that there are lots of things requested on IdeaScale that are unlikely to ever happen. This could be one of those. As you are such a fan of analogies - how’s this. If someone told you that pi$$ing on an electrical socket was not a good idea, would you still do it? I pose that as a question, because it appears you like to have the last word. Done and done!
  23. Finally - but, I’m willing to bet that the “update bricked my Helix” posts will continue. It’s the way of the world - best get ready for the onslaught. Buckle up, we’re going in ;-)
  24. Well, if you use HX Native, you can do the automation within the DAW, thus saving the tiresome process of sorting through those implementation tables. It just could be the “plugin that handles all that for you, and would just make the whole process that much easier”. Don’t mess around with those old fashioned MIDI commands, get streamlined and take advantage of EVERYTHING modern in automation. Plus, as noted by “molul”, there is an extra 30% off deal for those (rizzy) who don’t want to spend $99! It’s like deja vu all over again! ;-)
  25. Could be, but if you don’t follow the recipe, you might end up with something that has a similar texture and taste as sh!t on a shingle. I’m still not convinced.
