  1. Thank you. Helix Help is a great resource.
  2. From the notes on the download page: ”Compatible OS: Mac OS X, macOS Sierra, macOS High Sierra, macOS Mojave, macOS Catalina, macOS Big Sur, macOS Monterey” Go get it and then you can tell us!
  3. Looks like some very cool stuff in here. Thanks to all the Helix crew for their continued hard work.
  4. Hi, You have no need to worry about that, as the very latest version 3.15 has just been released. Read the notes here: Hope this helps/makes sense.
  5. Hi, You can get it to play once only without overdub being engaged, simply ensure that the LED ring on the foot switch is NOT flashing. Hitting the “PLAY” switch immediately stops recording, and starts playback of whatever you have in memory. The play “ONCE” button is intended to be used in a similar fashion to a “fade out” effect on other brands of loopers. Ideally you would ensure that the Looper is not record enabled (no flashing LED), then if you have your timing right, kick in the play “ONCE” switch as your recoded loop is running and it will play through to the end of your loop and then stop. Another option would be to record a very small audio sample into the looper and then use the play “ONCE” feature to play back “one shot” snippets every time the button is pushed. You didn’t mention MIDI CC in your original post. I generally use one of my several dedicated external loopers for the more serious stuff. I haven’t messed with the on board looper’s MIDI implementation while using an external sequencer, but the full list of MIDI CC# and values are listed on page 73 of the Owner’s Manual. https://line6.com/data/6/0a020a3f041b611d61cac763b/application/pdf/Helix 3.0 Owner's Manual - Rev F - English .pdf Hope this helps/makes sense.
  6. I'm not quite sure what you are describing here, but the only thing you really need to take note of is, when you press the record switch the white dot will illuminate and whatever you play will be recorded. Press the playback switch and the solid white square will swap to the solid white triangle and start to play back what you have just recorded, and also the record button will read "OVERDUB OUT". To add to your loop (overdub), hit the record button once more and now it will read "OVERDUB IN", the white dot will show solid white and the LED ring around the foot switch will flash, to indicate it is in record mode. If you decide that you don't like your last take, hit the UNDO button while the loop is playing and the LED ring around the foot switch will light up until the last take has been removed. Should you want to bring the last overdub back into play, simply hit the UNDO switch once more, it will light up until the last overdub is restored. At anytime you can press the ONCE foot switch, the LED ring and white triangle will light up, and this will play from wherever you are in the loop right up to the end. If, while you are in the process of recording an OVERDUB IN (when the LED is flashing and the white dot is solid), and you press the ONCE foot switch (it doesn't light up) it will simply stop the overdub at the end of the loop, no matter where you are in the loop when you pressed it. The thing to remember is - if the LED ring is flashing and there is a solid white dot showing in the scribble strip of the record button - YOU ARE STILL RECORDING. If the looper is not functioning in this way then if may be wise to perform a factory reset on your hardware unit. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  7. Also, just like the pedal on the full blown Helix floor. ;-)
  8. Hi Frederik, I guess you mean that you have previously had the “scribble strips” display normally, but sometimes when you start the Helix the “strips” stay blank? Usually, if something that worked before and then suddenly stops for no apparent reason, the first thing to try is a factory reset. If the reset doesn’t work you may need to contact Customer Support. 9.
  10. Hi, This is a user group, Line 6 staff do not monitor the posts in this forum and rarely visit here. There is very little, or no chance that they will ever see you comment or question. It would possibly be a better idea to raise the issue with Customer Support. Hope this helps/makes sense. Note: Over on TGP it has been mentioned by Digital Igloo (Eric Klein, Chief Product Design Architect at Yamaha Guitar Group, Inc. / Line 6 / Ampeg) that version 3.15 of the Firmware is now close to finishing the Beta test stage and is expected to be released very soon. Hopefully Helix Native will also be improved in respect of the M1, Rosetta situation.
  11. Yeah, well I guess everyone is entitled to an opinion, but not their own facts! You initially asked - “Anybody Use the Command Center - have any advice on clearing or resetting it? Is there somewhere else in HX Edit you have to go to 'unassign' a foot switch from being a preset?” The short answer to both of those questions are - yes, and yes. Do yourself a favour and read the HX Edit Pilot’s Guide Rev S (v3.11). This so simple that you don’t even have to go looking for it, because it is built in to the GUI. Simply click on the “Help” icon (question mark in a circle) in the lower left hand corner of the HX Edit window. Now once you have accessed the relevant document, scroll through to page 39. Here you will find instructions on how to ”Clear All Assignments - Deletes all Bypass, Controller, Snapshot, and MIDI assignments that exist within the current preset.” Next, continue through to page 46, and you will discover “Cut, Copy, Paste, and Clear Commands Just as on your Helix or HX Effects device, there are options available to easily Cut, Copy, Paste, and Clear Command Center assignments. Using these commands from the application’s Edit menu*, from the individual controls’ right-click context menu, or using “Keyboard Shortcuts”, you can copy and paste an assignment from one controller to another, copy & paste all command assignments within the current preset to another preset, clear the current command assignment, or clear all of the preset’s current command assignments.” Now, instead of being ignorant and arrogant, please go back to being depressed and gazing at your shoes. Have a nice life, slick!
  12. Hi, If you still encounter issues with this, then upload the preset here and I will check it out to see f I can remedy the situation. EDIT: I just re-read your post which states, "There was only "Interval", "Cents", "Delay", "Shift Level", "Mix", and "Level"". Mmm... that would be because you have the "Simple Pitch" block selected, whereas what you originally described was "pitch bend", and that is achieved with the"Pitch Wham", or "Poly Wham" block. Set the "Heel Shift" to zero and the "Toe Shift" to -12, then you can use the directions I gave you previously to set the EXP pedal to sweep from 50% to 100%. Then when you move from the heel position to the toe you will have an octave drop. Have you considered that you could use a "Simple Pitch" block on a F/S set for an octave down vocal effect? That way there is no issue with the EXP pedal, stomp on the foot switch and it turns on, hit it again and it's off. You could do a similar thing with a "Dual Pitch" block using two intervals to thicken up the vocal, plus you would avoid any weird sweep effects artefacts in the vocal as you will have when sweeping through the range with a pedal. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  13. Uh? Right next to where the “Position” option is, you should see “Controller” which you should ensure reads "EXP Pedal 2". If it doesn’t’ have the expression pedal selected, simply click on the knob below it and rotate until "EXP Pedal 2" is selected. Now you should be able to select “Position” on the “Parameter” option. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  14. Hi, You may want to check this thread to see if there are any solutions. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  15. LMFAO, You forgot to mention that this guy is also a “visionary”! So visionary that he couldn’t figure out how to set milliseconds as a note division in one snapshot that he could then tap the tempo he needed in a second snapshot. Jeez, you even provided a video, but he didn’t give you the credit. That’s how much of an attention span he has. Do you ever get the feeling you are being trolled by some lightweight who cannot understand that with a blank preset every foot switch does nothing until you give it something to do. Ye gods, I despair that this is what the world is coming too. Too busy “thinking outside the box” to even be bothered to RTFM where on page 55 of Helix 3.0 Owner’s Manual - Rev F - English there is the explanation of ”Clearing All Controller Assignments”, or also on page 60, ”Clearing All Commands”. Each of these requires 1 button press, but that is obviously far too complex for our genius.
  16. Yep, it worked last time that error code popped up! Ho, hum!
  17. Hi. You can set the parameters for the pitch shift assigned to EXP 2 simple by highlighting the block, then hit the "Menu" button (3 horizontal lines) at the side go the "SAVE" button. Then press down the second knob from the left below the screen named "Controller Assign". On the next page where it says "Parameter", use the scroll knob to select "Position", then above "Controller" Scroll that too read "EXP Pedal 2". Next from "Min Value" scroll that to 50% and leave the "Max Value" at 100%. That should do it. Also, check the Helix 3.0 Owner's Manual - Rev F - English > Page 53 > Controller Assign. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  18. You see, I was correct - it really is an exercise in futility trying to deal with your struggle to comprehend. Your original post specifically states:- “I have a single stereo delay ::: imma tryin' to set it to use milliseconds (ms) in Snapshot A, and use Tap Tempo time sync (1/4 note) in Snapshot B.“ You were supplied with the formula to figure out what you were attempting to achieve. You were supplied with a video, but then you failed to correctly identify who posted it. That somewhat proves that for you it’s a case of TLDR. FYI - You can hit a delay time between of between 42ms and 60ms by setting a tempo between 179 and 124 BPM as a 1/32 note division. Complex, eh? You also stated:- “The 1st mode is constant value millisecond mode - I am just using the delay as a "thickening agent". I just need a CONSTANT value of say 40 - 60ms to "thicken" my sound, and make it sound kind of like 2 or more instruments.” Mmm… thickening - Yeah, well that usually comes about by adding a short delay with possibly a single repeat and referred to by audio engineers as slapback, doubling or ADT. Well what do you know? Line 6 provided that very thing as an effect named “Double Take”. Now suddenly, and from out of nowhere you mention:- “pitch change in cents” Hello, Earth calling - “Dude..... you truly haven't arrived.” Oh, yeah! As for “Try to help people instead of bashing them”. Well generally- Dude - that’s what I, and many other regular contributors to this forum, have been doing for the past several years since the Helix landed. You’re on your own from here on in cowboy! Bye!
  19. Sadly, it’s futile! I don’t think that will happen anytime soon, he seems to be suffering from tunnel vision. Check out his other posts where he is also failing to comprehend some of the Helix functions. EDIT: I don't understand why bro "VmusicV" wants to make things more complex than they need to be? If, for instance, he is simply wanting to thicken up the sound with a 40ms slap back delay, why not stick in a Double Take block that is probably more suited to the job?
  20. Yes! You have no concept of time! AAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGG! My brain hurts! I’m out of here!
  21. Hmm… well that usually works, so if you have followed the instructions I posted then I really can do no more, other than suggest the usual factory reset procedure. Find those here: https://helixhelp.com/tips-and-guides/universal/reset-options I have had a trawl through previous threads and the only thing that I found that is similar is in this post. As I recall he contacted Customer Support and the retailer to get a solution. I really cannot understand why you have waited so long before trying to resolve this. Your warranty may have expired, but your best chance to find a fix now is to raise a ticket with support, then report back on how it progresses. Hope this helps/makes sense.
  22. Hi, Sean, Yup, it's where the XLR lock connects into the socket. It might be advisable if you edited this thread's title to read "What's this clip for? (SOLVED)" , in case anyone else encounters the same issue, it may make it easier to find. Thanks and have fun with your fixed Helix. ;-)
