Sorry Dude, get the manual and do some reading - the 2.0 is easy enough to learn and few downloaded tones will sound good. Everyone's gear is different from pickups to cabs and what is good for one might sound like lollipop to another. To really dig into the XT you will need to use the PC to open the tones up. So pick up that manual and read up.

You might as well yell out your window, this is a user forum and the L6 Guys don't parse every thread. I would recommend shooting them an email or try finding someone who can email you the old version.

Problem with Spider III HD 150 head?
BillBee replied to jgerads93's topic in Spider IV / Spider Online
Looks like you should have a L6 amp tech look at it. Not much can be done for the 3s and earlier as I don't think they can be reflashed. -
POD HD Complete Promo - Is this just for new customers
BillBee replied to Doncymbiotic's topic in POD HD
The HD's bang for the buck is king at its price point (IMO) and L6 usually has a good presence in that market. Would still like to see the Beans made too. It still sounds good and is affordable. -
POD XT bricked? What To Do?!
BillBee replied to namke's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
Don't pitch it just yet. 1) Download the flash file to your PC as you will choose the L6 Monkey "Flash from file" option. 2) Hold down the left most soft key Beneath the screen and power it up. You should be in the 'Safe Mode' Then connect the XT and reflash it with Monkey - update/flash from file option. Hopefully that will work. -
Hey there, I don't have a vid for you but in a dual amp (one clean/one distorted) chain you could pop a vol exp block behind each and have the 0-100% reversed for one. There are probably multiple ways to do for a single amp patch too - exp pedal for the OD pedal? amp drive? The sweetness of the HD is the options.

You are my ray of sarcastic sunshine. :)

I know Brazz. After years and years of keeping my 13's away from the knobs and display, it caught my attention- I don't know if the warranty covers a stomping. :)

@Smashcraaft - I do love the "wah" :D

flextone 2xl power cable
BillBee replied to zappaman123's topic in Flextone I / II / III / Duoverb / HD147
The power cable on my Flex III is the same type my PC uses (and a few other amps as well). Could be your guitar or cables? Cause? Not sure but it most likely not the power cord. Hopefully some better answers will pop up for you. -
Now if your cash was riding on a train from Montana at a speed of 65 mph and the model packs were leaving from Ohio (1 hour later) at a rate of 70 mph, at what point would the time value of the purchase balance? :)

Toe switch for the exp pedal. Its a stiff switch so you might need to stand to get enough weight behind it.

If You Were Going To Use The Hd500x Effects Loop, What Pedals Would You Add?
BillBee replied to boyce89976's topic in POD HD
:D I <3 Joel and have dibs on his fingers!! :D I ran an old Rocktron rack exciter (RX - something) and it was pretty sweet - for S&Gs only though. -
Due to a recent notice that the L6 open house was happening (or happened) and (finally) some free time I went cruising to to find L6 misc behind the scenes stuff. Great Article from 06: http://www.soundonsound.com/people/line-6-inside-tone-modelling-factory This Helix vid was really cool, its not often to see someone stomping a Helix brutally (I did wonder if it still worked): I would like to see pics of the current amp room, the article above has an old one but you know that puppy has been expanded by now.

During one b-day bash in the 90's I woke up at a bowling alley/strip club - sad to say the bowling was more fun.

They still haven't popped a Spider out with the HD models yet have they?
-
If not there will be one again, they pop up on sale 3-4 times a year.

Its tough over a forum to diagnose some things. You double checked all the FX loop settings (and turned the loop on in the patch right?) and all the cables? HD 1/4" out to the loop in of the amp works? Back up your tones just in case. A few options if it is the HD: Reflash it and hope for the best. With the 4CM all connected strum the guitar and gently wiggle the 1/4" cables at the HD - if it is a solder joint sometimes the wiggle will cause the fracture to connect and sound will spew forth. Though TBH I haven't heard too many HDs having this issue. Go up top click on Support and follow it through with a Support Ticket to Line 6 (those smart fellas probably have seen every HD problem and can steer you through the easy things). or try an Authorized Service Center. Who knows what the $$$ will be - a jack should be cheap and mobo probably a lot more. Push comes to shove if the HD still works fine through the normal 1/4" out it has value. Its up to you to weigh your $$.

Keep hope alive my man - I am sure there will more sales. The triple pack was hard to beat.
-
I believe you are correct to an extent. If you bought them on sale you couldn't gift them but if it was a direct purchase not on sale you could (at least one time) gift them. It has been a number of years since I ran into that issue but I think that is how it went.

''If'' you have your old email addy Line 6 might be able to use that or the XT's reg # to find your old account. Go up top and follow the Support link and shoot them an email. The XTL did come with a free pack IIRC - Power Pack? Keep hope alive :) -B

More and more I have come to realize the truth in this D. Ear fatigue is sneaky and usually creeps up on me before I know its there. -B

Sorry Dude, you actually come off as the troll by bitching and moaning through your post. This being a user forum we do get the occasional rant (which is fine) but usually a bit of justification is warranted to avoid the troll-label. Stuff like this: the (____) sounds like lollipop or I got lollipoped by Line 6 on my (____) , <- is going to help no-one. What PG said was pretty much spot on. The awesome sounding HD at the store probably did not have the model packs, most likely the latest (free) firmware and probably had a good rig to amplify it. BTW the Marshall Code sounded awesome in the clips I saw - that puppy should be on the shelves somewhere. -B
