Yeah my Tech 21 TM60 needs a dummy jack/ TM 10 too and the Flextone III (IIRC). Everything else normally get pumped through the lollipopers fx in and the lollipoper takes it (Crate/Marshall/Peavey.....). ;)

Toneport UX8 - Power cord question.
BillBee replied to Muscleshoalin's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
I think that puppy has an internal PS so it should be a standard grounded power cable like a bazillion PCs and amps use. As far as the USB goes its a standard cable nothing fancy or "Hy-Tek" about it. :) -
9/10 its a TS, but I have to say due to all the Tube Drive chatter its pretty nice too. The Rat clone has a nice bit of edge to it as well (Classic D?). and the Octave fuzz is a blast with a 7-string..... inna-gadda-divida vibe. :P

Installing problem for HD Pro x desktop thing screen
BillBee replied to fendy's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Dude, I don't have a Mac but you really should list what Mac you have OS wise. Someone might be able to steer you in the right direction. BTW when you connect the HD what happens? Monkey? Are you sure you aren't trying to reinstall HD Edit by hitting the install icon? Had to ask. :) -
Pretty much I just dump the signal from the Pod into a small 6 channel mixer's 1/4" in and it feeds the power amp. That's as far as I go - I would like to think that unless its a high $$$ mixer you should be able to plug and go. When in doubt get the manual out. :)
-
Yeah from what I saw you should run the left 1/4" out to the mixer. If you don't see the mixer's input level meter move try turning up the UX's output signal.

There must be a way - when I get a chance I'll take a look at the manual for ya.

Pod HD Bean- Desktop Questions (FX Loop, Amps, Gigging)
BillBee replied to Silencer23's topic in POD HD
Yeah the HD series is the best (head) bang for the buck. \m/ -
Never tried it, but in theory try running one of the 1/4 outs to it.

You should be able to DL any tone for any device as long as you are a registered user and logged in.

Pod HD Bean- Desktop Questions (FX Loop, Amps, Gigging)
BillBee replied to Silencer23's topic in POD HD
I would leave the 1101 out for now due to its IR loading. I have a rp1000 and a G5 and to my ears the HD is as high-gain worthy as any. Its tough to compare them sometimes as each one can due some things the others can't and ears vary per person. -
Not that I know for sure. It "could" be that the solder joint on one of the jack legs needs to be reflowed or there is some oxide on the connection that needs to be sprayed with some DeOxit. Just guessing.

Pod HD Bean- Desktop Questions (FX Loop, Amps, Gigging)

All hail SpaceAtl for this one: http://line6.com/support/topic/2177-4-cm-the-hd-pod-bean-oh-yes-this-works/ -
Its either a ''Guns and Butter'' or the PT Barnum paradigm nowadays. :)
-
I have to hit the save button too - on a HD Bean and 500. No biggie, I know the suck factor of building a tone and watching it go bye bye so its worth the extra level of paranoia. :)
-
DoooOOooode! :D I just went there and DL'd some random tones so its working. Maybe you need to "reboot" the 'puter. -Bill

If I understand your question correctly. Then the answer is "yes" I have the HD output running to an amp while editing.
-
HD -> Powered Speaker, Power amp/cab, Head/cab (into fx or 4cm), Combo (into fx or 4cm). 4CableMethod btw. or Use the Spider. Never did the spider one myself but what the Brazzmaster sez is true 1/4 guitar cable with adaptor (whatever size) into the mp3 input. I feel its not a long term solution but it may give you a feel for a Powered Speaker or Traditional amp style cab. -B

I hear ya - an ounce of paranoia is worth a pound of support tickets. :)

Volume Level Won't Retain New Setting
BillBee replied to cinnamonjack's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
Exp pedal does volume control from 0 to 100% its a variable so at 100% it will go to the volume you set your patch at (not the Master volume btw). For example if you set your patch volume at 7 then 100% on the exp pedal would be 7 based on the overall patch volume. The Master Volume knob does total volume for all - as you know. If you are getting large volume jumps when switching between patches you have to go in and normalize them all manually. -
Decades ago I did my brief stint in a apt & headphones were the only option. I briefly used a low wattage amp which was "OK" but even then the volume needed was too much. Headphones delivered what I needed to hear. I was looping the solo to Bark at the Moon while learning it (using an amp mind you) and nodded off. The poor ole lady living below us had to listen to it for about an hour **oopsy**. She was not a Jake E. Lee fan btw. :) -B
