I'm learning "Girls, Girls, Girls" however my Floyd Rose guitar is setup in E Standard and from what i've been informed you can't just detune a Floyd Rose guitar, it needs to get re-setup again As such is there an effect in the XT Live that will allow me to drop tuning by a whole step so i can play along to the track in original tuning?

I have bought a used pod xt live some days back. It giving me some issues, while playing it automatically goes to amp control screen and some of the amp control knob on the screen tweeks automatically Other problem is, some times the volume goes all the way high, then the pedal not works. It solves automatically. Sometimes it take time to solve and sometimes it fixes quickly. A technician told me that is a software issue! Please help me to get rid of this.

I've been using my XT live with a fender deville as a 'traditional' effects unit and am pretty happy with the results. Juts bought a variax standard and am experimenting with running the xt live through the aux in of a fishman loudbox 100, as I'm guessing I will get a wider frequency range with this than the fender. All of the acoustic models and clean patches are great. I'm having a bit of ugly distortion when using some of the more gainy amps and stomp boxes, compared to how they sound with my fender. Anyone have any tips how to get a good driven sound but without the (bad!) distortion?

I am wanting to upgrade my Pod XT Live and was initially looking at going for an HD500x, but the option of replacing the effects and Amp (Tech 21 Power Engine) with a Spider V 120 plus FBV 3 Shortboard came up. Will this give me the same functionality / range of amp and effects as an HD500x + amp ? I use this for gigging primarily so being both light and robust as well as sounding great are the key criteria. Also its really important to be able to easily select different stored patches (I really like the POD XT Live interface for this and am hoping the FBV would provide similar)

Hi there, new to the forum since there's a problem that's been killing me for some time ago. In fact, I've just returned from the technical support and paid about 100 € (that should be a new unit, for lollipops sake) and the problem will persist even though they said that it worked perfectly. My PC recognizes the signal of my XT Live unit when I plug it through the USB. I've been playing with several knobs and it won't record anything but a noisy tiny chirping even when I turn the volume of my guitar to the max and play with different controls likewise. I've read plenty of FAQ and tutorials and I don't find the way out of this hell. I've flashed the unit, reinstalled drivers, returned to default settings to no avail. I thought that the power supply might be the problem, since I bought a cheap one through eBay that was listed as for specific use of this very unit, but its input is AC and the output DC, so I don't really know..., if that was the problem, is there any reliable site to get the real deal? Thanks in advance for your help.

Just picked up an XT Live used and trying to determine if a problem is me or the unit. Everything seems to work after installing all the updates except the volume pedal. Wah was initially only going 0-36% so I calibrated the pedal using the power-up, hold bank-up and push amp method which restored the wah to 0-100 % and now it works fine. I have volume/wah assign to pedal1 / tweak to 2, but when I switch to volume from wah there is no response. Switching back & forth the wah responds but no response in volume pedal mode. I have it connected via USB in Win7 and running the edit program and can see the visual knobs. Hoping to find a solution here...

Dear, POD XT Live have a (ok, I know it's kind of old). First, the monkey can not connect to the server, even I uninstalling my antivirus, and allowing popups. I installed the drives and the editor manually, but the publisher can not connect. Also I downloaded the flahs memory manually, but has .XTF extension and can not open. Please help me!

Hi guys, I've just got my second Pod XT Pro rack unit and I'm having an issue with it. You know when you're in a preset and you turn one of the knobs (drive, treble etc) the screen changes to reflect the change by showing you graphics of the knobs and then reverts back to the display showing the title of the preset? Well mine sometimes flicks between these two pages when I'm not doing anything or touching anything. I think the culprit might be the Drive pot because sometimes I can see the graphical representation of this pot moving on its own and I'm nowhere near it! Has anyone else experienced this and what did you do to rectify it? Thanks in advance.

I have two Variax models, a 300 and a 700. Both have previously connected with no issues to the Variax Workbench via the Variax cable to my POD XT Live, and into the USB interface to my computer. Tonight, however, when I try to conned the 700 to the Workbench, I get this error message: I have tried power cycling the XT Live, rebooting the computer, and restarting the Workbench software, all to no avail. I still get the error message. But the Variax IS visible to the Line 6 Monkey software: All my drivers are up to date on the Variax: And on the XT Live as well: Any ideas or suggestion? Am I missing something obvious? Thanks in advance...

Dear Fellow Podders, Apologies if this topic has been covered *ad nauseam* in these forums before. I'm about to upgrade my Variax 300 + Pod XT Live setup to a JTV-59 + HD500. There are a couple of tones on the POD XT Live that I will miss in particular: namely, the Variax specific tones of "VAR-Special Lead" and "VAR-T-Model". Having not had the ability to try the new HD500 + JTV-59 in a guitar store here in Australia, can anyone tell me if I will be able to easily replicate/migrate these tones to the HD500, or, do they already exist on the HD500 and sound similar? And has anyone else gone through this upgrade path and can share some tips/recommendations before I finally (and sadly) let go of my POD XT Live?

Hi, I’ve had an XT live for years now and always gone straight from the Left jack to a line input on our desk and not used a DI box, nor bothered running two jacks to the desk. The POD has always been set to Studio Direct. Now I want to know how to maximise the PODs potential and get that sound you get in your headphones, but through the PA. So the questions are: Should I use a DI box? If so, does it need to be a stereo DI box running from the jacks into the DI and then XLR to desk? Can I just run a jack from the Headphone socket to the DI, then XLR to the desk? Is there anything else I need to setup on the POD to maximise the sound potential (ignoring EQ on my sounds or anything like that)? Not that relevant I don’t think, but I mainly use a Variax JTV-59. Thanks in advance
