Hi. I download the HELIX NATIVE trial version to evaluate if work or not for me, because I want to buy the HELIX STOMP. I play Guitar and Keys and I need a Guitar FX unit with midi to control from the Kronos Sequencer: to change between the snapshots (SS) and different values in the blocks. So, to try the sound and the functionality I try with HN (Helix Native) and guys........ This is a complete waste of time.!!!!! My DAW is Cubase PRO last version. I create a new PATCH with only 6 blocks., like HN and using only 3 SS. When you change the SS 1 to 2 or 3, the values are the same. Doesn't change!! Sometimes one of the blocks bypass on/off work... but that's it.!! SO.... If the Helix Stomp work with the MIDI and values like the software, I DONT Want it..!!! I make all the combination. Bypass SS, no bypass SS, Automation the SS just the parameter, save a new patch, close and open again... and NOTHING. IS COMPLETY RAMDOM. Any advise..? Im very disappointing with this functionality. Not the sound.!! Thanks.!!!!

You can assign buttons to certain keystroke(s) and that's how it's done. So you could assign CTRL-A to a button. I'm assuming it's transmitted via the USB but I at least know you don't need to purchase anything else.

No hardware update, just a firmware update.

problem there would be if you have this and are trying to hit the presets to switch presets, and it give you a save prompt and doesn't switch it could screw you over live. Maybe if you made it an option you could turn on or off in global settings it might work, but there would have to be an option to turn that off.

Silverhead kindly provided a solution, then gave a simple reminder that the manual holds that very answer. I'm not sure how that can be considered rude!

This feature was introduced with firmware 2.8 so you need to make sure your Helix is up to date (2.82 as of this post). The preset mentioned above will not be there if it the firmware is older, or if you didn't update the presets with the firmware. Heed all instructions, including those that tell you to make a backup of your existing presets/setlists!

Having the same issue. As themetallikid said it does not take an extreme amount of time to get things working again, but it is pretty inconvenient and just seems to happen randomly. Yesterday I wanted to export a setlist for reason of backup. There were only a few presets in the setlist and for whatever reason all of a sudden presets well below (don't know the exact number, must be around 20 or so) started showing no characters, of only a few. I tried pasting presets into those slots but without any luck. So, yes, the "fix" is pretty easy, but this simply should not happen. Quite a few people seem to suffer from the issue so this definitely should be on the "to-do" list for the Line 6 folks working on the software. I'll open a ticket referring to this thread (and actually, there are quite a few others). See what happens ....

The last Setlist in your Helix is called Templates. In Templates, you find a YouTube preset that is already setup to control YouTube in this manor.

If you're doing major edits, use HX Edit, no hitting wrong buttons. You refer to SOFTWARE, but obviously editing on the HARDWARE. No hardware I know of (I could be wrong) warns you like that, just software. Lastly - computers 101 - "SAVE EARLY, SAVE OFTEN!" :-)

Yamaha looks like a bad fit for line-6 to me at this point. I know what to do. Lets paint it white, instead of adding more blocks. And lets charge 50$ more for it so instead of 599.99 it will be 649.99usd instead of fixing the looper. --- Why am I here? I get what you are saying though..... you are saying fractal is at the bottom of the pile with boss in a close second to last place while neuraldsp and kemper duke it out for top 3 with line 6 at the top of the heap right? What next? Mac is better than PC, right? Of course Linux is not even in the discussion right? Never mind the company not being willing to explain to their own developers that they need to fix this thing. I am tired of feeling like a beta tester for a product that should have been already tested.
