  1. Add an Idea on Ideascale so that people can vote ;-)
  2. Clear Button for Presets to empty a slot http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Helix-Editor-Clear-Button-for-Presets/815868-23508 Please give as a clear button for presets like the one on the Impulse Responses. If more presets are selected all selected should be cleared. Right know you have to copy an empty preset and then past it to every slot you want to cleare. The editor askes if I'm sure every time I paste it - not very userfriendly.
  3. I'm using Cubase SE with Helix without Problems. You might try to raise the Buffer size in the Helix control panel to get rid of the dropouts.
  4. Redwirez has a PlugIn called MixIR2. With that you can mix whatever .wav IR you have. It's not free though. If you buy the BigBox Bundle it is included.
  5. I've made an Excel list with all Helix stuff like Global Settings, Guitar Input Impedance, Tuner Offsets, IRs and so on That helps me to make my personal settings fast after a Firmware update and global reset.

    headphone sound

I don't think the headphones are bad. It just doesn't work the way you wish. You will always have to adjuste your patches to your devices you're listening through. Doesn't matter if new or old.

    Tuner question

You could do a comparison between your Polytune and Helix. Set the offsets in Helix so that it fits your Polytune. This is what I did with my favorite tuner and it works just fine.

    Tuner Offsets

Yeah this is a cool feature. I have compared the tuning with an accurate tuner app (I think it uses the buzz feiten) and set the offset accordingly. Works very well for me
  9. In another forum someone mentioned the Yamaha DBR10. They seem to be lightweight and very good value as well. http://goo.gl/5aY0KT
  10. Good luck with your GNX4 then :-) Just wondering: Why would you have kept the Helix if it was 660 $ if you don't like it? I mean everybody has different demands and tasts and I would say after 10 years of yousing the GNX4 your ears are used to the sound of it. If it's that what you like keep it, there is no reason to move on.
  11. I do the exact seme thing - I use this a lot with my strat. Especially in a JCM-800 Patch sounds killer. Here is a short video how I set the parameters

    Helix FAQ

There should be no difference to the Pedal Version. I would create a two Path patch so that you can switch Path with just one button fluidly. There is a Template for this in the Template setlist
  13. Regarding some rumours it should be here til the end of the month along with the new firmware
  14. In the link HonestOpinion provided you can dowload the firmware or try this direct link: http://line6.com/software/readeula.html?rid=6823 You need to logIn to download
  15. Why not using the 02C Patch in the Template and start from there. Easy enough.
  16. I have posted an Idea about that. Don't know if it is the best way but it would certainly make thinks a lot easier: http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Impulse-Responses-IR-Import-Export-automatic-Number/806973-23508

    Helix FAQ

I don't know if this is possible but what if helix would know what patch is selected next. Would there be a possibility to load that in the memory for faster change? I mean usually it is always the same patch that is called next. So if we could assign the "next" patch that will be called and store it in the patch. Is there a possibility to preload that patch so that when it is called the load process speeds up? Let's say I'm on Patch 01A and I know that In the song I'm changing from 01A to 01B and back. Then in patch 01A I would tell Helix that the next patch called is the 01B. In patch 01B I do the same and tell Helix that the next patch called is 01A. So Helix could preload them for faster change.
  18. I like to use the minotaur as a boost pedal:
  19. So did you try the mentioned ways to in patch switching? I'm just curious because you never mentioned you tried them: Helix makes it easy to create multiple tones within the same preset. Try starting with 8 TEMPLATES > 02C TwoTones A-B or 8 TEMPLATES > 02D TwoTones Blend, both of which support two completely different tones with spillover delay and reverb.
  20. Voted for both. The relative mode is a good idea I was thinking about that myself a couple of times
  21. Did anyone try the Behringer KXD12 Ultratone? This seems to be a nice amp for modeler like helix for a good price. In the comment of the german thomann site someone mentions that he uses it with the kemper and is getting great results: http://goo.gl/zpuwHS
  22. Shortest Straw - Metallica End of Summer - Andy Summers? The Syndrome - Muse Mmmm Bat Heads - That seems to be Ozzy Osbourne he likes Bat Heads ;-) Only guesses of course ;-)
  23. I've been using Sennheiser HD280 Pro with the HD500 in the past and use them with Helix now. They sounded great with HD500 and so they do with Helix. Of course you have to adjust the patches but that's true fro every single piece of gear you change.
  24. Good to know that's safe - thanks! I'm using the pedal by the way
  25. Hi, Is it save to Plug and Unplug the Variax VDI cable while Helix is running? It shouldn't be a problem but just want to be sure - I'm always a little scared :-) and I don't like to damage Helix. Thanks
