  1. That's exactly why I don't use the VDI cable anymore. Of course I loose the possibility to automatically switch models but it's all about the sound.
  2. I already hate the alerts in Helix Application so for me a big no ;-)
  3. Not sure of the free ones but in paid package therer are different versions
  4. I don't think so - but I don't care eighter ;-)
  5. Yeah I had this too when I imported a setlist I got from someone else. This was before the update was released. I had messed up all my patches. After the latest update I did a factory reset and imported all my patchas as single files. Everything is fine since then. Hopefully it remains so.
  6. Thanks for the report. Can't help but I will wait with the update then since I'm on windows 10 too. P.S. I guess you run the installer as Administrator do you?
  7. Als arislaf said they are converted automatically. But If you have the Redwirez there should be a folder with 16 bit 48Hkz.
  8. I don't feel Helix is bass heavy at all. It might be on some Equipment but not sure if it's Helix fault then. I would agree with lulu_m and use the global EQ only to adjust for different rooms but not for correcting patches. This should be done in every patch itself.
  9. I don't know if it's technically possible. I don't mean that it should always be separated but the user should be able to choose if it is inserted as one block or as separate block. So the optimized block would still be there but also the option to insert as separate blocks with one click.
  10. I have added two Ideas to the Scale: 1) Posibility to choose if the Amp+Cab are inserted as one Block or two separate blocks: http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Amp+Cab-insert-as-separate-blocks/804050-23508 2) Helix Editor: Show how often an IR is in use: http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Helix-Editor-Show-the-number-how-often-an-IR-is-used/804054-23508
  11. Try to ask in Firehawk forum - you might get better feedback there ;-) http://line6.com/support/forum/83-firehawk/
  12. Did you search the forum before posting? There's at least one topic about this already. That beeing said - are you using IRs with pretty long names? I found the program crashing when I try to import IRs with long names. Try to rename them to a shorter name.
  13. He's running the program without the helix connected (see "No Device" message). I think the program was searching for the helix and got a timeout then. Anyway - It is not out yet and probably a developer version.
  14. This would be a AAW then - don't see any Digital devices in there ;-)
  15. As long as people buy them, there will be people selling them - nothing wrong with that. Obviously there is a market for that. Basically you're paying for the time the seller puts in to create the patches. You save some time yourself. I don't need to buy because I can dial in everything I need pretty fast. For me the patch sharing doesn't work anyway: I would say that over 80% of the patches I downloaded from cutomtone ended in the trash. There are way too many variables. It is a good starting point though and you can get an idea of different approaches. But there are people who prefer buy them.
  16. Here's a list, some of them have already be mentioned here: http://dshowmusic.com/impulse-responses-for-line-6-helix/
  17. No, I don't but it is what it is. They already mentioned that it is comming - propably sometime in February.
  18. Theres post from Digital_Igloo here: http://line6.com/support/topic/17047-noticeable-delay-when-switching-patches/?do=findComment&comment=133720 I think the TwoTone Patch would be the better approach. This uses two Volume pedals to make the blend. I tried to blend the outputs
  19. There's already a post about this - There may be some additional info: http://line6.com/support/topic/17047-noticeable-delay-when-switching-patches/
  20. I did a short test with that on helix. The expression pedal seems to work in another way then it did on the HD500. The values go form - I think it is -128 - to + something. If you set one output to the minimum and the other to 0db they do not blend smothly. By that I mean that first path one goes to silent and then path two starts to blend in. So I had to find the right values where you can start to hear the first path and silence on the other - I think it was around -60, but I guess this value differs regarding on the items on the path. I have to test more with this though
  21. It doesn't come earlier just because someone opens a thread about it every second day or so - just saying ;-) I rather like to wait a little bit longer and get a less buggy software instead of an early release with heavy bugs. I'm looking forward to the editor but it takes the time it takes. In the meantime I have learned to dial in my patches on helix itself.
  22. Thanks for the explanation. Sure I'll give them a try I'm already registered.
  23. Hi Markus, welcome to the forum ;-) I din't write they are overpriced! I was comparing the price to those from Rosen Digital which seem to be less expensive. Not saying that yours aren't worth the price since I had not the change to test them till now. Maybe I'm comparing Apples to oranges - who knows :-) Anyway I wish you many sales - I've put your site on the IR list on my Blog
  24. I think they have seen this thread. Visit their website - they have now some free examples to offer. Probably for some limited time. If made a list with some other resources if you are interested: http://dshowmusic.com/impulse-responses-for-line-6-helix/
  25. Thanks for the patch. I've made some adjustements to fit my setup (Playing with headphones) and chaned the IR - sounds great to me.
