Factory reset JTV '69 sss.

That became out of date after v2.00 firmware. Follow the procedure in the Community Knowledge Base here for re-Flash of the Firmware. -
Sure thing. Active pick-ups like that are meant to be used on guitars with passive electronics. That hasn't changed all that much since the mid 1970's, when I used to do those retro-fits.

Variax Acoustic 700 popping using XPS-A/B box
psarkissian replied to Bob2point0's topic in Variax Guitars / Bass / Workbench
700 Electric, it can be a problem, but not always. This can be checked out by a Line 6 authorized service center. If they have any questions, they can contact me for further info. -
Active pick-up, using a 9-volt battery? Don't do that. Active retrofits are incompatible. Unless your tech has a lot of experience with this particular product, don't do it. Use passive PUP's. Line 6 does not support mods like this. If you void your warranty and have need to send here for servicing, I would have to send it back untouched, or undo the mods, service it, then send it back as a normal Shuriken.

Variax Acoustic 700 popping using XPS-A/B box
psarkissian replied to Bob2point0's topic in Variax Guitars / Bass / Workbench
There is a component on the board that can be damaged when running XPS with the batteries still inside. It's not a self repair sort of thing. Would have to be done by a Line 6 authorized service center. -
Get with Line 6 Customer Support on that.

Warning,... always read the directions first before opening anything else. 1) All Variax piezos come single wire, the casing is the chassis ground. Mounted correctly, and kept clean, should work fine. 2) Don't know yet. 3) No. All firmware goes on the main processor board and nowhere else. Standard requires v2.2 or higher. It won't roll back to v1.90 program. Just tried one myself, it won't do it.

Make certain there are no batteries in the battery pack when using the XPS. -
DT50 Main fuse 2.5 a VS 2.0 A big difference ?
psarkissian replied to hichembell's topic in DT50 / DT25
" Did anyone solve the same problem by changing tubes? "--- sometimes, if nothing else is wrong with it. Parts online, outside the USA,... don't know what's available, as some the the USA suppliers don't ship outside the USA. -
59S,... or 59P? Tom Schultz from the band Boston,... from what I recall, he had overlapping delays in his bag of tricks. From what I saw in an interview back in the day, they looked like custom boxes like you get from Stew-Mac. DiMarzio Super Distortion,.... popular choice back then. Have one on one of my guitars, a custom re-build.

DT50 Main fuse 2.5 a VS 2.0 A big difference ?

Tubes choices to use for the DT Series,... DT-50 Series: 12AX7EH Electro-Harmonix approved for the DT50 pre-amps. EL34EH Electro-Harmonix (matched pairs) for the power amps. Power amp tube choices are crucial, and must be properly biased by a tech or Line 6 authorized service center who knows the product. Don't do this yourself, the shock hazard is too great,... and it hurts when you get electric shock. Leave it to a tech trained who is for this. These valve amps are particular about tubes and tube brands. Do Not use substitutes, No Mesa, Groove Tube, Tung-Sol or JJ substitutes. No hot rodding of an already Bogner hot rod. -

Could be. Or worn tubes pulling down current. Right, France and Algiers,... same wall volts, good. -

DT50 Main fuse 2.5 a VS 2.0 A big difference ?
psarkissian replied to hichembell's topic in DT50 / DT25
https://line6.com/find/service_center/ To find the center nearest to you. Could be the power tubes, could be the transformer, and use the fuse that is marked on the back. What country did the amp come from? What is the volt of the wall mains where you are at? The amp does not automatically switch to the volts of a given country, that is done internally by a Line 6 authorized service technician. -
DT50 Main fuse 2.5 a VS 2.0 A big difference ?
psarkissian replied to hichembell's topic in DT50 / DT25
Yes, 2 vs 2.5 is a big difference. Another fuse won't fix the problem, it's a sign that something needs to be looked at and checked out. A blown fuse is the symptom, not the cause,... need to have a Line 6 authorized technician look at it to find the cause. When was the last time the tubes (valves) were changed out? What tubes are in there? -

Canned air works good too. A couple not-so-secret, secrets to maintaining clean machine in good working order. 99% Isopropyl alcohol, swabs and some canned air goes a long way. -

And in the Forum Knowledge Base is a floorboard to amp compatibility chart. -
1) One of the FX knobs, when turned up, gives a tremolo or whammy. An FBV controlled whammy would be a bit of work. Maybe do'able. 2) Check the FBV compatibility chart in the Forum Knowledge Base for the pedal you are using. 3) Idea Scale is the place to submit ideas for features,... it's how the Helix products were created.
