I have no experience with this but I've seen these mentioned several times on the forum here. Just pick the one that fits you. https://www.musiciansfriend.com/mixer-stands?typeAheadRedirect=true

Best possible STEREO setup between HELIX & Roland JC-120???
brue58ski replied to felipemartin's topic in Helix
I would suggest checking out the parameters of your Return block. Make sure it gets turned down or turned off when you activate the AMP module. That pretty much has to be where the "clean leak" is coming from. Also, are you running a parallel path in your Helix? Just though of something else. Check the Send parameters as well. At the very least make sure it is turned down or off when you activate the AMP module. I suspect you're new to the Helix . May I suggest coing throught Jason Sadites Helix tutorials on YouTube. Excellent place to start. https://www.youtube.com/user/gtr111/videos The ones you want to focus on are all called "How To Create A Great Sounding Tone". There are around 40 of them. -
Best possible STEREO setup between HELIX & Roland JC-120???
brue58ski replied to felipemartin's topic in Helix
Holy smokes!!! I did mean series. Sorry about that. Having it in parallel would have accounted for the signal bleed. Sorry about that. I'll change my previous post. -
That would be a drag. You probably already are aware of this but make sure your not plugged into a USB hub and try a different computer. Maybe even a PC. Just to try everything before you reset. Good Luck.

I just kind of skimmed this and it may nave already been mentioned but you can set Helix up so the main master volume on the Helix only controls the 1/4" outputs and has no control over the XLR's. The XLR's can be set at mic or line level to sent to the FOH and you can then control the level of whatever you've chosen to plug your 1/4 inch output(s) into from your Helix's main volume control.

Best possible STEREO setup between HELIX & Roland JC-120???
brue58ski replied to felipemartin's topic in Helix
So I'm not sure exactly how you have it setup but here's one way. Let's start with the whole signal path. Guitar -> Helix Guitar In -> Helix mono FX Send (Instrument Level and you'll want this right after the input) -> Amp Guitar Channel 2 In -> Amp Channel 2 FX send -> Helix Stereo FX Return (Line Level I Think) -> Amp Stereo FX Return Is this how yours is setup? If it is, remember, the FX sends and returns in Bold and Italics can be put anywhere in the chain in the Helix so that will have a significant effect on your patch. Be thoughtful in regard to exactly where you put the FX SEND and RETURN blocks in the Helix. Are you using the patch rd2rk attatched? Is your JC120 an older one with the Line Out for the FX send and Main In as the FX return or does it have the CH2 Effect Loop? If you have the CH2 Effect Loop model I noticed there is a SERIES/PARALLEL switch to the right of the SEND output. Make sure that's in SERIES. That's all the advice I have for now. -
I love this idea. I'm stealing and using it.

Guitar Center covers your mistakes. Line 6 only covers their mistakes.

Dead Piezo Pickup?
brue58ski replied to the29band's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
I contacted Graphtech about this and if it's what is in the JTV 89F. This was their response. 1) Yes, the bridge on your JTV 89F is one of our PN-0080-B0 ghost bridges 2) Yes, the saddles on this bridge are of the PN-0080-B6 variety 3) You can purchase the entire saddle (the price would be pro-rated) or simply the inserts themselves. 4) We don't have printed instructions for this process but I can spell them out very easily. If an order interests you, please provide a complete shipping address and I will generate a sales quote for your evaluation. -
That must be what's wrong with my brain. Too much latency.

I didn't see this suggestion and not sure if you've tried this. Put the Harmonizer on a parallel path with the mix at 100% (full effect, no dry, so that path should only have the harmonized note) using another amp with exactly the same parameter settings. So you have one amp with the dry signal and one amp with the harmony note. You can then adjust the harmonly note's amp parameters so they only tweak the harmony note. You could even put an EQ in there. Maybe the EQ'ing will at least get you closer to what you want to hear. Does this make sense? I'm pretty tired so I'm not sure if I'm explaining this very well. Sorry, I just saw that you tried that. I explained it a little differently and more in depth so I'll leave this here if anyone else wants to try it.

Kind of a restatement of the song. "Let's forget about tomorrow because tomorrow never comes". Pondered that decades ago. Came to the conclusion I just wasted a lot of time.

Best possible STEREO setup between HELIX & Roland JC-120???
brue58ski replied to felipemartin's topic in Helix
It is my understanding that there are essentially two power amp circuits (I think that might be true for the whole circuit, from input, which get's split, to output) each one assigned to one speaker. So if one speaker's amp were to malfunction, the other one would still work. So each return is for each speaker respectively. I've tested it by plugging just one thing at a time to each input. Only one speaker at a time has audio when you do that. According to my recollection. -

I have an older JC120 so if that's the case, what you want to plug into is called MAIN. It's the same as an FX return (bypasses the preamp and goes straight into the power amp). See the pic. BTW that makes the Line Out the FX send. jc120 rear panel.jfif -
I'm not sure if this will help. In fact it seems to be the opposite of what you need but more than one person has suggested keeping the wah's mix at 70-75%. Try that and readjuting the other parameters. Worth a shot I guess.

Helix 2.82 firmware good--but can't find the "edit" software....
brue58ski replied to worshipHimalways's topic in Helix
Select Helix as the product(?) in the firat column and you'll be looking for HX Edit in the next drop dowm menu. HX Edit I'm pretty sure you don't need his login but eventually he needs to swap the registration to you. You will need it to upgrade and a new upgrade is coming soon. -
Well, I know they're not sitting around having a few beers, laughing at all of the angst of people waiting for it. It will be released the second it's ready. I feel your pain but it's the only answer.

Some of the reviews on Amazon mention that they are brittle. One talks about getting them for their Helix. " I put these Mooer shrooms on my Helix to replace the Mooer Candy toppers so I could more easily hit the metal footswitches when programming. I used these for only two gigs and two are broken already. These are brittle, cheap plastic that will NOT hold up to gigging. Unless and until they beef up the structure of these buttons, I cannot recommend them and suggest you don't wast your money on them. " I have had the Mooer Candy Toppers on my Helix for over 2 years with NO issues at all. I got all black which do allow the color of the LED rings to show through. Cheap and reliable and they work. These here. https://www.amazon.com/GETMusic-Plastic-Bumpers-Footswitch-Protector/dp/B075TXX5LQ/ref=pd_sbs_267_3?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B075TXX5LQ&pd_rd_r=C4CST5TWEVKXTZ9NWNAZ&pd_rd_w=6yfZV&pd_rd_wg=yKoTI&psc=1&refRID=C4CST5TWEVKXTZ9NWNAZ

I'm just assuming here but FB probably means feedback which would indicate to me that it controls the tone of the repeats only and doesn't effect the dry/original signal. Just a guess.

I've been looking on line for the Steve Vai Legendary drive but all that comes up is the Steve Vai Legacy drive. Is it actually the Legacy drive?

Since they are wave files, could it be reading the title from wherever WAV's MP3's etc. store the title. Try right clicking on the IR, going to properties and find what it's called in there. It'll be under the DETAILS tab.

This is true but I've had it happen with numerous amps as well as a preamp that I would use with the Variax acoustic. In fact it was switch between patches with an acoustic to one without that I discovered this. Mainly with the tone knob which I often changed on my acoustic patches (not anymore). I started to tryy and isolate the issue but never finished my investigation. And, since it is fixed with a twist of the volume knob, that would not indicate an amp issue.

Voted it up! Don't know if it's even possible in Helix but it would be amazing cool if it was. I'd use it....AND my ears.

Also, maybe read throught this whole thing There were some weird things that you had to do. And unfortunately yes, read through the WHOLE thing. Hope that helps. I honestly don't think it will. Peter's suggestions would be all that I have left.
