  2. Tell me what you think. https://www.dropbox.com/s/8griiy30i6xwbam/Match%202CH%20%281%29.hlx?dl=0 It's the two matchless amps and the two matchless cabs in an ABY configuration utilizing the 4 snaps/4 stomps mode. Thanks.
  3. I have a Cali IV Lead preset on my custom tone page in my sig that goes from clean to mean in 4 snaps:
  4. but you said dragging and dropping worked...Its been mentioned a few places here and on other helix forums that setlists can become corrupted or un-importable and exporting single presets is by far the safest method of retaining individual presets.
  5. The original thread I read that made me buy a DI: http://line6.com/support/topic/17205-xlr-hiss-phantom-power-and-helix/
  6. Play with some sharp eq spikes. Wah is a good idea because it's a move able eq spike
  7. You've been IN pro musicians for a pretty long time? No wonder you need a Direct Injection box :D I don't think you see your potential as a stand up comic ;) But in all seriousness, I've almost never seen an electric guitarist carry one, let alone two DI boxes, and both I and my father have been "in the game" a while. Even as a bass player for years and years he's never needed one
  8. If I were you id export my important presets (click and drag in groups) and flash the firmware. If you still get the problem then I'd say open a support ticket
  9. I mean, its for sure possible, but try it ;)
  10. Pete, you crack me up
  11. Can you click and drag the presets from the editor to your desktop?
  12. I just don't want to have bought this di box for no reason. I guess since it came from an amazon gift card, it wouldn't be such a bad thing keep around
  13. Ive read it several times, please correct me if im wrong or missing something here, running your Helix via XLR to a mixer with that mixers' phantom power ON, creates an undesirable sound. I'm sitting at home with my Helix, running an XLR cable from the mono out to my little Behringer Xenyx one channel mixer with phantom power and I'm hearing no change in sound at all. It has to be me, right?? Perhaps the mixer?
  14. Cool! My metal band is loud as shit thanks to our drummer and his giant cymbals so I usually need to get my presets to translate well at hair raising levels, and it has never been a problem besides all the hearing loss.
  15. I'm only beginning to use compressors successfully lol. I like the Deluxe Compressor, drop the threshold a bunch, and raise the level until your signal levels match with the effect on and off while hitting the strings hard. Works for me!
  16. Speaker outputs on amplifiers definitely need a speaker cabinet load or a load box or damages will incur. If you want to use a tube amp with your Helix then I suggest looking up tutorials on the 4 cable method if your amplifier has its own effects Loop. If it doesn't have an effects Loop then you would have to use your helix plugged into your amps guitar input
  17. Helix. I used to run my Pod HD into IR loaders in my studio with great results. Helix still sounds better.
  18. Home systems = not flat response Yamaha HS5 = no XLR out
  19. Stock cabs for high gain metal. Edit: I take it back. I'm dialing in some killer tones with them now.
  20. Deluxe Compressor. Lower the threshold down a bunch, raise the release, and then raise the level while A/Bing with the compressor on and off while hitting the strings as loud as you can to match volumes. That's how I set it anyway. Works for me
  21. Studio monitors! Yamaha HS5s on my desk.
