  1. Welcome Emrah. Very good and helpful first impressions! I think you are on the right way. Good luck and have fun :)
  2. Hi everybody! I wonder why this idea does not get more votes? http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Headphone-level-output/576383-23508 In my opinion it would be absolutely cool to just have to plug in some Headphones to play guitar B)
  3. Oh, that's really a helpful one I hope I'll remember when needed!
  4. Awesome Player and great conversationalist :o
  5. As this is a +700 posts thread, it would be really nice, if the op could declare the post with one of the helpful contents as "BEST ANSWER", so one could find the essence of the solution at the beginning of the thread
  6. No offence! I just wanted to know if this feature should appear in my older Workbench.
  7. I wish someone could record the piezo-pling, because I am not really sure about it at all. Maybe a recording with and without the 75 % trick applied?
  8. Please make some sound-clips, comparing to your previous favorite combinations. I am really looking forward to the result of your testings. Only thing that keeps me from ordering one too is, that there would be another 3 additional cables again (power, tone, midi)
  9. Does anybody know how much this cheap one did cost, after it was released? And in what time range it was available?
  10. I had been running the Velocity 100 to a 2 x 12 Orange (closed back) before switching to FRFR. Had never problems, dialing in good fat sounding tones, but a guitar cab is still a restriction in tone possibilities. As an advice I would recommend to use just the amp distortions, check presence and the cab RES DEPs and always put a Tube Sreamer at low drive before the amp.
  11. Maybe this post can enlighten you a little ;) http://line6.com/support/topic/11272-portable-editing-options-hd500/?do=findComment&comment=152779 The result on this 8 years old netbook looks like this... http://www.musiker-board.de/attachments/eee-pc-1005ha-hdedit-jpg.483826/ ... and it costs me around 40 bucks, including a little 2GB RAM-upgrade.
  12. Built in Cable Tone? I should have RTFM. Onto which chapter or page are you referring?
  13. The gap appeared again but I was able to fix the problem. After choosing a patch with a lot of fx-blocks I had to switch the ASIO-device to "None" on my Mac, running Cubase 8 (and then switch back again to the HD500x ASIO) to get rid of the recording-delay. Seems to be an ASIO/USB issue. Solved B)
  14. I don't know what exactly was the failure but today it worked. I strongly suspect an inpropper USB-connection because the last time I had some sync issues with HD Edit too. At the same time I reconnected all real and digital in- and outputs, so those could have been also the reason. Thank you for your time, eenymason I habe voted you +1
  15. Thanks. Good to hear that it is dying a sudden death, without groaning and moaning before that :)
  16. What exactly happens when variax is running out of battery power? Are there various stages of dying like hum, feedback and lower volume or does it die suddenly. As the older 300-700 have no battery-indicator it would be good to know, just to sort out things correctly.
  17. Yes, I am using the HD500x as the soundcard and the problem only occoures using the Variax. The recording of my Ibanez is 100 % right in time, although it is recorded also using the HD500x. Moving files into position is of course possible, but nothing I want to do until the rest of my days ;)
  18. Hi. When I record my Variax 600 in Cubase 8 AI, it leads to a gap at the beginning (like an enormous latency). I am using the POD HD500x which is USB-connected to an iMac. If I use a regular guitar everything is correct. The recording starts right at the beginning and listening to the live-tone and tempo-click everything sounds okay. But when the recording ends there is a gap of nearly 1 second since the tone starts and it ends with the same (here as an overlap). Any ideas? I will try to reproduce this behavior in Audacity later… EDIT: Don't know how to get rid of latency using Audacity. So, no way to reproduce the problem :(
  19. The easiest way to get descent clean sounds even with active hotties like EMGs (PU volume cranked to max) is the amp "Line 6 Acoustic" from the HD Vintage Pack. You can pump up gain to max without getting any crunch.
