  1. Here is a new thread where I try to find out about differences in specs and production over the years. I am really sure there are differences in fret-size and neck-scale but the problems with the room to move the bridge-saddles seems to occur all over. F.e. a friend of mine with a W1108 tries to compensate the observed fault in 1. fret placement by milling the nut, now. It is very interesting, that frets are not placed as they mathematicaly should be and the bridge placement is bordered, too. I would love to find out if other JTV-59s do have the same or deviating fret and scale values.
  2. I agree with the stainless! For whom it may concern… the values I posted in my first post are not correct. I leaned on the scale-lenght my friend provided but mine has a lenght of 623 mm. Calculation of correct fret placement 12. fret measurement
  3. … and when did Line6 stop to produce JTV59 using the "Jescar 57110" jumbo-frets with 2,79 / 1,45 mm?
  4. Due to some intonation problems a friend and me do have, I like to verify some values of the JTV59, so please let us start with scale and fret-width in mm, okay? My JTV (W1405…) has a scale of 624 mm and a fret-with of 2,6 mm. Do you agree at this point!
  5. So, where is your problem? You got a lemon, okay! But with your Thomann purchase you got 3 years extended warranty. Take this offer, open a ticket at Thomann and let the unit be exchanged.
  6. You know, that there is a extended manual, available as downloadable PDF, which describes the looper very good?
  7. Maybe you should offer some details on OS and DAW to us?
  8. Try 2 feet or 10 feet in the shopping cart and you will understand the magic ;)
  9. I am unsure if you "hear" the tone through the feeling of a more vibrating neck or in the body which could be less solid and thick than the neck/body of a 59? Model tones should be very similar otherwise.
  10. Got to Audio MIDI Setup in OS-X to add a new master-device. You now can setup things so that all system sounds (incl. the warning tones) + the POD will be played back over this one master-device. You will sure find help on YouTube or via google image-search if you search for "Audio MIDI Setup OS-X". Or articles like this one https://www.macobserver.com/tmo/article/audio-midi-setup-your-macs-secret-sound-manager
  11. Hi edstar. I am aware of this possibility but at the moment I am still trying to setup the neck perfectly and so I am using the screws for the bridge-height from time to time. After that I will give it a try (ignoring my sad feelings about pushing the bridge as far backwards by such tiny little screws). But I like to thank you for your patience with me :)
  12. Sometimes it is answer enough to see psarkissian not jump into a JTV discussion ;) It seems very clear to me that the bridge position is not optimal. But anyway... intonation is nearby okay withe the E, A, D saddles pushed hard against the very back of the bridge.
  13. The Trem looks right to me. If you like to lower your strings you should adjust those bridge-saddles instead. But maybe I misunderstood The whole problem because I am not a native speaker?
  14. For me it was a big help to cut the fizz by using the global EQ (try a Lowpass somewhere at 4.000-5.000 kHz) to get my tones in the ballpark and see the POD working for me. After that I went over to a PEQ per patch solution but the GQE was an eye-opener for me somehow.
  15. Descent tones and awesome playing!
  16. This and not being connected to HD Edit via USB.
  17. I have a 600, too. Can you please capture a photo of your faulty bridge for comparison reasons?
  18. Sometimes I am bored and that´s when I start to develop ideas and post them on ideascale for no reason at all… B) https://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/POD-HD-much-clearer-Bank-and-Patch-Selection/868954-23508
  19. This overview is IMO a good starting point http://line6.com/data/6/0a06434d408c50904b6a219d8/application/pdf/POD%20HD%20Model%20Gallery%20-%20English%20(%20Rev%20D%20).pdf
  20. Thank you. That does help me to understand that my Axe ist not manufactured inproper and you are another user on my list. Would you agree with me, that the bridge should be reset to 5-8 mm, as specifiction for the factory? I wonder, why Line 6 have released a bridge with such a inflexible position? Positioning a bridge shouldn't be wizardry or toss for it
