  1. This should answer my question… Source: http://de.line6.com/supportarchivenew/thread/55422/ Another helpful thread: http://de.line6.com/supportarchivenew/thread/1879/
  2. @Nico: This table shows the commands to switch the POD Xt and does not explains how to send a MIDI-command per patch, doesn´t it? @rd2rk: The "E660 Savage Spezial Edition" has a external proprietary MIDI-Interface called Z-7. This interface converts standard MIDI-changes to channel-switches Hopefully I can find a Xt-User who has some experience with sending MIDI-program changes so I will not recommend a bad solution to my bandmate. Thank you all :)
  3. ... here http://line6.com/support/topic/26914-floarboard-searching-for-a-minimal-solution-midi-send-noisegate/ Please excuse this hi jacking but I am sure otherwise I don't reach Xt users to solve my last questions.
  4. Is there a need for the 4CM in my construction? The tone should be still come from the Engl (Preamp and Amplification) and only Noisegate and some effects should be routed into the effects-send/return. I am a little bit confused at the moment.
  5. Sounds good. Sending a simple Omni-chanel program-change via MIDI should be no wizardry, because this is the simplest way to use MIDI at all, I guess. But maybe a Xt-user or super wise-man can give me some confirmation?
  6. Again I like to thank you for your research! In that thread it is a little bit unclear for me if the Xt Live can send a simple MIDI-program-change-value because the overall setup seems to be a little bit different. The ENGL E660 Savage SE switches chanels via a little external box called "MIDI INTERFACE Z-7". It offers the possibility of selective control on 8 POLY channels or alternatively, the reception of all MIDI program changes from 01 to 100 via OMNI mode. So from my understanding there is no need for a THROUGH-port or a external foot-controller because the Xt Live should send the change per patch. I think I have to go into the details by reading the Xt-manual and/or trying the Software-Editor.
  7. Thank you. The regular gate should be fine as long as its quality is similar to the one in the HD500. Does the XT Live has MIDI-Send per patch?
  8. Hi. One of my bandmates is searching for a minimal-solution to get his ENGL E660 Savage SE noiseless, which produces a lot of noise in HighGain. The ENGL E660 Savage SE has a MIDI-Switch which allows to switch up to 4 chanels. The Floarboard would be connected to the effect-send/return of the amp. The budget device we are searching for should offer… MIDI-Send to switch the 4 amp chanels min. 4 footswitches for direct choice of 4 patches / chanels a descent Noisegate a descent Delay / Reverb maybe a Tuner Which L6 Device would be the way to go in your opinion? The POD XT Live, the M9 or something completely different?

    POD 500x

Yes, monkey is th way to go first.
  10. My China made V600 is a very nice and well made instrument. Got a JTV59 too and like it also but it is very heavy and the neck feels like a baseball bat. For your back I would suggest something like this strap https://www.thomann.de/de/gibson_gitarrengurt_mit_logo.htm Very comfortable! But of cause a Gibson branded strap on a Fender stlyle guitar may disturb you ;)
  11. Please try all possible USB-ports on your iMac because only the primary will work It is necessary that you have a Line6 account and you are logged in into the monkey. If you download HD edit manually be sure to get the latest version. If you are not able to install the Monkey everything else won't work, too. Does the Mac Mini officially run the OS-X 10.10 or is there a hack applied? I would suggest to install the latest JAVA version possible.
  12. For me the Variax integration is there true "unique selling point", to differ from other manufacturers. It is hard work to get this technology to the vintage loving GP, but it is worth it. Not one of the players I personally know get in touch with a Variax or get into the technology and possibilities. But all are shocked if they get a demonstration. The only thing that keeps them from buying is the fact, that most of them are not computer-guys at all and they are afraid of the technology (meanwhile managing the most complex paddle-boards or rigs ever seen). We all have to do some apostles work day by day, to expand the interest and believe in this technology.
  14. I like to buy the content of your rubbish bin. Maybe we can make a deal, if you are in Germany? SchumiD sounds very german.
  15. Maybe I did not express myself right: I know the right values because of a calculation sheet but it seems, that the korean factory of Line 6 do not know their stuff (or L6 their specs). It's my intention to compare the values to find about if it differs from guitar to guitar or just bulk to bulk. More on this in this thread…
  16. Here is a new thread where I try to find out about differences in specs and production over the years. I am really sure there are differences in fret-size and neck-scale but the problems with the room to move the bridge-saddles seems to occur all over. F.e. a friend of mine with a W1108 tries to compensate the observed fault in 1. fret placement by milling the nut, now. It is very interesting, that frets are not placed as they mathematicaly should be and the bridge placement is bordered, too. I would love to find out if other JTV-59s do have the same or deviating fret and scale values.
  17. I agree with the stainless! For whom it may concern… the values I posted in my first post are not correct. I leaned on the scale-lenght my friend provided but mine has a lenght of 623 mm. Calculation of correct fret placement 12. fret measurement
  18. … and when did Line6 stop to produce JTV59 using the "Jescar 57110" jumbo-frets with 2,79 / 1,45 mm?
  19. Due to some intonation problems a friend and me do have, I like to verify some values of the JTV59, so please let us start with scale and fret-width in mm, okay? My JTV (W1405…) has a scale of 624 mm and a fret-with of 2,6 mm. Do you agree at this point!
  20. So, where is your problem? You got a lemon, okay! But with your Thomann purchase you got 3 years extended warranty. Take this offer, open a ticket at Thomann and let the unit be exchanged.
  21. You know, that there is a extended manual, available as downloadable PDF, which describes the looper very good?
  22. Maybe you should offer some details on OS and DAW to us?
