    Attention! Mountain Lion is not the same as Lion. The last one is older and not compatible with the later versions. If you search the list for Lion you will land on the 7.3.7 too.

    Not when it comes to the outdated MacOS Lion (10.7) which has to be fed with the 7.3.7 as the download-section and the Monkey states.

    I have problems on an older Mac Pro with the MacOS OS-X Lion 10.7.5 The latest driver is shown as 7.3.7 but no matter how I install it (via the monkey or manually) the driver neither does update in the monkey ("update selection") nor let me connect the POD via HD Edit or the licence manager. HD Edit crashes on directly start. The licence manager shows the computer as activated but no device. The driver is shown as outdated even if the POD is not connected. Of cause I tried to uninstall the driver via the uninstall-tool and to restart the mac. Of cause I have tried 2 different USB cables (both working on another machine). I have tried everything & several times… no luck!

    Semi hidden adn the setting does not have to be send / transfered. Even more weird especially when every other change has to be transferred manually.

    SHAME on me! It was the settings in the "Global String Levels" in Workbench. After importing all presets from one to the other I thought all settings would be identical now. Nonsens!

    I am into some recordings and testing now to proof my feelings about the differences. First finding is, that the mags do not vary that much as the V-modeling does. That a good news because the Variax-Levels are easier to adjust than the output of the mags. I will check the jack-output too. The thought, the volume-pod has a weak connection, is a very good one!

    Both are TBS, both had been bought used and both have the same FW, defaults and patches installed. The pickups are adjuted optically to the same height. But the output level differs that much, that one sounds strong and one sounds weak when they feed a clean amp who tends to breakup. It would be cool if there is a way to level the overall signal of the VDI output which would include the output of the magnetics, but I am afraid there is no way to do so. Lowering the PUs and the overall level on the hotter and better sounding JTV might be the only way but I even doubt that lowering the PUs is enough to get in the same ballpark.

    Hi. I have to 2 identical JTV-59 and 1 of them has a significant weaker signal on both Signal paths; PU + piezo The one I do prefer has a hot output-level that drives the cleaner amp models of the POD HD500 the right way into crunch. The other one doesn't tickle the crunch out of clean tones the right way. It sounds a bit boring in comparison. So what can I do? Would raising the magnetics always make the piezo signal hotter somehow? or so I have to raise the magnetics and level out the overall output of the weaker JTV59 to taste? I don't like the idea of managing 2 different sets of presets on both of my 59s.

    So please let's think over in my case (500x at rehearsal and the 500q@home). You would... edit some presets @home because you have the time to optimize them after you are done you open and connect the 500Edit and let it import the presets from the device after that you open the 500XEdit in offline mode as a second instance and copy over all presets / just the presets you edited. To take the updated presets to rehearsal you now save the complete bundle of the XEditor (which is in offline mode) to a location you can access at rehearsal (clouddrive or USB-Stick). This way?

    This may also be part of the problem. Pic 1: The License Manager shown in Monkey is newer, than the one stated as newest for Windows (BTW on MacOS the latest is 1.14) Pic 2: Taken from the "POD HD Preset Tool" website. The problem of the DEP set to default seems to have happended before. But I am unsure if the converter-tool will help to avoid this, in opposite to just rename the suffix between the 500 and the 500x By the way: There still isn't a tool to export preset-settings as a text or data-sheet file, isn't it?

    How can you downgrade to 1.04 when this is the latest build of the USB-Driver? Have you been on a BETA-route or something?

    You are right, Nico. I found all devices authorized but the Model Pack Add-Ons seemed to be disabled somehow! This must have happended during on of the former FW-Updates, because the add-ons were disabled on my 500x (rehearsal) and my 500 POD for home use. Because of this, all amp-parameters in all my presets were corrupted and set to default. The only reason I thought only some presets were corrupted was, that is was more noticable in those. Fortunately I have backups which reach 24 month backwards, so I can use a valid one from August 2019 (the 3 later ones were corrupted).     Hi Nico. I was off for months from the forum and was positively surprised to see you back here, too. Did you discard your own board-project overall? My latest knowing was, that you left here for some reasons. However, I will investigate the authorisation of both model packs and get back with the information. The computer is already checked and authorized. As always... please excuse my poor english!

    My patch-settings (Amp-Parameters) differ from one unit to another! The unit on the left side is a HD500x, the one on the right side is a HD500 The unit on the right side differes in a missing "Blackface Lux", which is wrongly replaced by a "Blackpanel Pete" and all Amp-parameters seems to be at the default-settings. I have re-flashed the POD500 (noX) but the problem is still the same. It is espacially spooky, because the following preset 01D is the same one as the 01C where only the Phaser is turned on. I will now reflash the unit 2-3 times again. Please help me!

    Glad to hear it did the job for you. The selector switch is something which likes to be used. If you don't do it you will find yourself having problems again.

    I guess the OP ran away after reading # 1, to keep distance or he sits in some kind of standby-mode nearby, don't touching anything.
