And with a 10 mm felt pad you can get even make the pedal switch work switching an effect block :)

Yeah, and in my case that's a 50 $ small piece of plastic called Zoom G1Xon modeler. By using its EQ I reach my basic tone up to 85 %.

There are some known glitches, when playing with the POD connected to HD Edit, especially when you change patches at Edit and onboard.

Played a gig on Saturday in a small club with hundred guests. There should be approximately around 80 Smartphones in use and there was a photographer using a lot of flashlights. I recognized no dropouts at all and it was real fun demonstrating the G10 to the other musicians.

Line6 - We are the helpful-tongues. Please take care of us!
Smashcraaft replied to Smashcraaft's topic in Line 6 Lounge
Install the Line6 Monkey and read the manual. If you don't like to read the manual and don't like to spend some hours in learning, I strongly advice to get rid of your POD a.s.a.p. It is no Plug & Play device! -
Sometimes I wake up at night and ask myself some stupid questions. Here is one of them: "What is the reason for red LEDs on footswitches Bank up/down?" I mean… in what case do they lit up? As a guitarist and singer I am often unsure if I will hit the bank-switches or FS1 and FS5 while playing. Sometimes I accidently kick the bank-switches but wanted the FS. Why didn't they gave them a blue LED-ring to separate the bank-switches from footswitches? Same on the looper and tap

Missed the HD model pack sale, whens the next one??
Smashcraaft replied to kzmaier's topic in POD HD
Next sale should be around Christmas time. Would bother me to wait so long. -
Received mine today, here in Germany. Works fine :)

My G10 arrived today and everything's is working as expected and described in the manual. Only thing that was unexpected; The transmitter showed the stable green light after minutes, so I guess the plug was preloaded at the factory. Tomorrow I will test the range of the device.

Thank you Darrell. I have updated my file above. Some infos are still missing and I have to search for a (preferably) short explanation of the mics provided by duncann. I am very interested in sorting some amps after their cabs and/or mics, to test them side by side, to understand the behavior of these modeled gear.

I am pretty sure that we can find descriptions that the most users can live with. So thank you for your personal perspective :) I had noticed the drastic tone-changes on changing mics too which let me to aks for this idea which would make a comparison much easier...

HD Model Packs List: Not All New Amps Are There.....
Smashcraaft replied to geeker's topic in POD HD
FYI: I am working on an extended list with all default-cabs and mics. The progress can be found here… -
Attached are my efforts until now. As you can see, I tried like to write down some of the characteristics of the mics but as I am not a native speaker I like to ask for your help on that point. After the release I will provide the file in a proper version. All HD Models and Default-Cabs in Order.pdf

Hi. Is there a list of default cabs per simulated amp? I am working on an extended overview of the HD Model Packs List. If this information is not available I would go through the amps on the HD and write it down.

Mac mini. Maybe it runs still on a PowerPC G4 or G5 base and a system prior to 10.4? not sure about the minimal system-requirements for an installation of the Editor on a mac

T might stand for "trusty", looking at the faults, charging the Relay G10

MEH, fixing the bug might (or should) be the reason, why my order at Thomann was set back from "today" to 24. june ^_^

So, both units should act 100 % as described in the manual? Or are there any differences because of errors in the manual? I will get my G10 next week and so I am a little concerned about the amount of faulty units

If you want to get beyond the basics and build you individual tone, you shoul quit job and put your nose into this lecture for some weeks... http://foobazaar.com/podhd/toneGuide/

I strongly recommend to open an Line6 Support-Ticket to get those cases clarified… EDIT: And please get back to us with the result of the clarification!
-
Why don't you open a support-ticket, here at Line6? I'm really looking forward to the response of Support

No comment of Line6 officials to this issues?

I am still much more interested in some more onboard mics & cabs, as I am not willing to carry around further devices with further power-supply. I refer to the these ideas, which hopefully lead to a offer of a "Mics & Cabs"-pack by Line6 http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/POD-HD-Optional-Cab-Mic-Pack-neutral-cab-with-variations/819062-23508 http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/New-Cab-IR-and-Mics-for-POD-HD-series/713811-23508 http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/New-Cab-IRs-model-pack-for-the-POD-HD-series/806607-23508

Go cheap using a vintage tennis bag like I suggested here... http://line6.com/support/topic/20187-supplements-and-ideas-for-your-pod-hd/?do=findComment&comment=152142

That's how we play every rehearsal for over 25 years now. Needles to say, that there are 6 crappy power strips, to provide the outlets for PA, 3 amps, floorboards and disco-lights + 2 radiators. Never lost a fuse or had troubles. So maybe you had been cautioned by some higher force at church ;)
