5:30 in this video: Where would you start looking for something like that? (Just to be clear, not that anyone cares much, I don't use tones like that basically ever, but respect and am interested in them anyway.)

This. Do contact support.

I wonder what L6 has in store for Helix and Summer NAMM?
zooey replied to Lachdanan0121's topic in Helix
How about this logic: - Saved settings would be one snapshot's worth of settings, only. - When you recalled them, or added a block and got your personal defaults, they'd be applied to the current snapshot, only, other snapshots would be unaffected. - Which parameters were controlled by snapshots and other controllers would also not be affected. So to recall a block with multiple snapshots, you'd switch to and recall each of them separately. That way you're free of problems with different snapshot layouts. You'd also need to set up any controllers manually, including snapshots. Otherwise they could be conflicts between controller settings in different snapshots. Make sense? Still probably a useful feature, but there are definitely some wrinkles to it. -
Why yes you can...

Hmmm, can you follow somebody if you never look at Twitter? ;)

I'm also curious about the answer to HO's question on the state of the split block. Another thing to investigate is whether you're right about which IR block(s) you're hearing, and which IRs they each have loaded. I'd suggest bypassing them both, then enabling them one at a time. Maybe also try incrementing or decrementing the assigned IRs, see if the "next" one you get lines up with what it says is loaded, and/or what you hear. Weird though.

Don't remember who or where, but someone here had an archive of the factory presets from the different firmware releases. Also don't know if they've kept up with the recent releases.
-
Images are all broken links for me. Weird behavior you're describing, not sure I've got straight what's happening.

Nuts, none near Boston, closest is NYC, not for me.

Wonder if this is an LT export thing, or Custom Tone.

Me too, but how does that play with snapshots? I typically have most amp settings controlled by snapshots. Does a saved amp include settings for all snaps? What if the snaps in this patch are laid out completely differently than where you made it? I like the idea in principle, but I don't see a clean shot here. Presumably that's why copying and pasting blocks doesn't work very well in a snapshot world, same issue. -

Per patch switch layouts? -
I want that way less than I want to plug a thumb drive w presets and IRs into that port. I think it's kind of the same issue. Which I really want a lot.
-
Yeah, but once you'd set up each of the amps you wanted to compare, you can switch between them without them constantly resetting themselves how they were when you took them out of their shipping boxes ;) In all fairness, you can set up two presets to do that, or two snapshots if there's enough DSP and two free snapshots. But fundamentally I agree that the current behavior is annoying enough that I at least want the choice not to have it, like a global setting.
-
Line 6 has been 100% great about service in my experience. Shipping time there and back may be an issue, I don't know what support they have in your area, the the company will take care of you as best is possible, I'm sure.

Harsh, or disappear? How much high-cut is too much?

I've found the 3 Sigma IRs pretty bright in general. -
"Worst" case, if you really do like your amps better, Helix can integrate with and possibly control them in a bunch of different ways.
-
That doesn't work so well with snapshots. Not surprising actually.
-
Can't imagine why it'd exist if it wasn't in some ways better. I'd say just do it. Why not? Not that I'm privy to any actual knowledge about it or anything...

Dead mixer channel? Try using a different input. Do the mixer inputs have source switching (mic vs line)? Try using the Helix's USB out to connect to the computer, bypassing the mixer completely. Better sound that way too.
-
I'd try the Script Mod Phase in front of an amp running a little dirty, maybe a Fender or the Silvertone? That solo's not as clean as what I was thinking of, which is more the JC120 hyper-clean thing.
-
Not my wheelhouse, but my memory is also very clean, JC120 sounds right. Any Youtube samples of what you're looking for?

One Button Step Through Arbitrary Sequence Of Snapshots
zooey replied to buddachile's topic in Helix
Also, the current setup provides 1-press access only to the next and previous snapshots in their defined order, where the proposal lets you create a custom sequence of snapshots, with named steps. That also allows the same snapshot to be used for more than one step (verse 1, verse 2, etc). Should you be able to create more than one of these "performance sequences" per patch? I'd think so, unless you use each patch for only one song. If so, there would need to be a way to choose which sequence was active, and something that shows which one you're in. At that point this begins to seem like a lot of work and added complexity, but maybe the UI design gurus at Line 6 can come up with something elegant and simple that's not too hard to implement. I upvoted the idea, but I do have those concerns.
