My understanding is that the Updater program must be used, but you still need to download the latest G10 firmware for the Update program to install. I don't know if the Updater handles the download for you.

There's a new firmware version 1.04 released today Sep 13, 2016 that may remedy this! Find it amongst the pinned items on this support forum's posts. Unfortunately, the new post is merely an update of the former firmware 1.03 post of Aug 16. As such unless you were to know that 1.04 is newer than 1.03, the thread does not jump out to the reader as a newly dated and pinned thread dated today. I'll see if I can get a msg to Tony suggesting he generate a newly dated pinned thread.

No! Normally the base will display a slow blinking white halo when the power is on and the transmitter is not inserted into the base. Check to make sure the USB cable connected to the USB jack at the rear of the base is securely plugged into the jack, and that the AC transformer is not using a switched off AC outlet.

Over the Holiday weekend, I had the occasion to use two G10 Receiver Base units with one G10 Transmitter, and it worked out great! Each base unit was connected to a different amp. This provided a terrific opportunity to achieve awesome blends and a wide sound field from the differently configured amps. When the G10 Transmitter was inserted into the additional base unit, that base unit automatically selected what turned out to be the same channel as the original base unit the G10 had been using. This was easy to confirm upon removing the G10T and depressing its collar switch as both bases blinked simultaneously. As there were no other G10 transmitters in use this worked great! Ordinarily, with just one G10 Receiver, wiring to the second amp would be required, and I often the XLR out via an XLR to TS cable for this. So for any G10 owners contemplating a backup/spare G10 Transmitter (as I saw suggested on Idea Scale and I believe here on these Forums), an entire additional G10 setup will do the trick! I tried the dual base setup several times over the weekend and each time the units reliably selected the same channel! YMMV.

For an otherwise exceptionally designed, compact and easy to use, terrific sounding unit, the USB charging jack absent any ruggedized nor reinforced strain relief is certainly a weak point! Unplugging the source end of the USB charging cable can allieviate repeated flexing, leverage and activity at the charger base's USB jack only in situations where the base isn't moved or USB cable is not exposed to flexing, etc. However, leaving the USB cable plugged into the base is a bad idea if the back of the base is exposed! It would be better to use a power strip or other point of contact to control the power.

Contrary to earlier indications, and even with the updated Firmware 1.03 installed, the G10T has twice again exhibited the Blinkng Green LED symptom. This after reaching a full charge solid green LED, and the G10T remaining in the base, and the power to the base then turned off. The LED remains solid green after power down and begins blinking about 4 minutes later. It continued blinking overnight until the following morning (about 9 hours). [More details are provided in the support ticket for this issue.]

Where do you see that the XLR is Cable Tone free? Please provide a link to that resource reference. The only manual I know of is the very brief G10 Pilot Guide (rev b) which is very brief and makes no mention of Cable Tone. The G10's product marketing materials do mention Cable Tone, but nothing about the XLR output bypassing Cable Tone.

The G10's Pilot guide is very brief. It makes no mention of the Cable Tone feature. I do see Cable Tone mentioned in the G10's product marketing materials, but I do not see any manual mentioning the XLR output being free of the feature. Can you provide a link to the G10 Manual you are reading?

Adiaz7531, My understanding is that the Line 6 Updater program is what must be used to handle updating the firmware. Have you installed the latest Mac version of Line 6 Updater and tried using it to install the updated firmware to your G10?

Line 6's PDF Comparison of the Relay Family of Products does not yet seem to have been updated to include the G10. You may have encountered a corrupted download or bad installation of the Updater or the firmware. Try repeating the entire procedure.

I had Line 6 update my G10 transmitter to the latest firmware last week. It no longer blinks green indefinitely, after reaching full solid green charge status and it is left in the charger base with the power turned off! The updated firmware has apparently fixed that bug! Thank you, Line 6!

Yup! Announced here on the Forums by Tony Aug 16. Firmware 1.03, if I recall correctly. Check the Pinned items at the top of the Relay Digital Wireless sub-Forums. Already flashed mine, and it corrected one problem.

Agreed that a base with a high capacity rechargeable internal lithium battery would have been a great design. A rechargable USB battery pack works great to power the G10 base.

My impression is that he is referring to the Line 6 Updater (necessary to flash the G10 product with the updated firmware) is not supported on the Android platform.

The Right Angle Adapter's 1/4" TS male plug fits snugly in all my guitars. Unless you actually rotate the adapter (to reposition it in the jack) it does not spin freely. This also with the G10T inserted in the Adapter. I have both the HOSA and LiveWire adapter versions. They are identical.

Adiaz7531, Get a Support Ticket going with Line 6! I have one open as a result of my phoning support to inquire if the recent August 16 firmware 1.03 fixed the issues you, me and others are seeing. Line 6's response, was the release only “{F}ixes an issue on some transmitters that did not indicate solid green when fully charged in the receiver dock.†They claim they were not aware of the erratic symptoms you, me and others are finding. I have a buddy in Florida who just bought a G10 from Sweetwater (later s/n than my G10) and he's getting the same erratic LED symptoms after system power off following full charge/steady Green. I'll be attending Line 6's Open House Event this week, and hope to get a more informed response then.

The Software Downloads area reports: "At this time, there is no software available that matches your selection." this when the selection of Relay G10 Receiver, G10 Transmitter or Line 6 Updater are chosen for a (legacy) PC running Win XP. Just learned from Line 6 Tech Support.that there is no WinXP supported method to flash/update the device. Fortunately, I'm nearby and can have them do it at HQ if necessary. Awaiting word back from Line 6 Tech Support rep, if 1.03 resolved the issue I encountered with the blinking after power-off. Hope to hear back from him in a couple of days....

As the firmware 1.03 update announcement thread is locked, I'm posting this here.... Does the mid-Aug G10 firmware release 1.03 ( http://line6.com/support/topic/22340-firmware-v103-for-relay-g10-resolves-blinking-green-led-after-full-charge/) fix the problem of the transmitter (when fully seated in the base unit) starting to blink green after power to the charger base unit is turned off (with a transmitter that had already reached steady green/full charge before the power to the base unit was turned off)? My daily use system is now Android; Windows is used infrequently. Will this update release correct the situation with my Transmitter (as depicted in my Day 1 thread post)? If not, there's little reason to install the Line 6 Windows version updater at this time. Is there an Android version updater in the works?
