  1. I toss the G10 in either my guitar bag, HX bag, backpack, or pedalboard bag. It's pretty small and as long as all the parts are disassembled and neatly packed you shouldn't have any issues transporting. I often toss mine in a pouch in my backpack and travel with it on a plane no problem too.
  2. The FBV shortboard mkII will work, also the newer FBV3; both will offer the same functionality. However, do note when pairing Amplifi with FBV3 you will not get the color coded LED foot-switches, they will all be lit red. http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/effects-controllers/fbv-mki-mkii-controllers/the-complete-line-6-pedal-compatibility-faq-r58
  3. I will agree with talkwilkins, you can get FH1500 to sound good at all volume levels, but may need to tweak a bit for the different levels.
  4. As previously mentioned, it needs to be a device that uses the lightning cable connector. Always a good idea to update the firmware too if you are still having issues after addressing the cable. Presets will take some tweaking to match your playing style; these presets were written by people who were more than likely using a different guitar, with different pickups, with a different playing style/feel, and in a different environment than you might be hearing these in, so, yes, they will take some tweaking. Let us know if you need any additional assistance!
  5. I don't believe there is a way to globally lock this, you will have to assign the volume control to the correct expression pedal in each preset.
  6. Ah, I gotcha! In that case it certainly wouldn't hurt to bring along your thumb drive.
  7. Unless you are 100% sure it would be worth trying the other USB ports. As I mentioned, I'm a mac user so I don't have experience troubleshooting Spider V with a PC. Hopefully another user who does can chime in.
  8. You won't need a thumb drive for any part of the presentation.
  9. Be sure to follow product specialist @line6vmoncebaiz on twitter to know when he'll be in the Boston area!
  10. I use the bag that fflbrgst shared above with my FBV3 and it works pretty well. FBV3 fits, there is about an inch of space between the unit and the wall of the case but I haven't found it to be in issue.
  11. To download tones and easily call up a pitch bender effect you will need the app. With some Samsung devices an OTG adaptor is required to run the app, these are usually a couple bucks.
  12. I'm a mac guy so unfortunately I haven't tested Spider V with a PC. Is there another USB port you can try?
  13. I know Glenn Delaune has created an organ type preset. In fact, a user recently posted their own song where they are using the G.D organ preset, I've provided the link https://soundcloud.com/user-598831548/springtime-rock-n-roll There are a few user requests on ideascale for B9/C9/Mel9/Key9 type effects be added to Helix. Consider giving these an upvote https://line6.ideascale.com/a/ideas/search?templateId=0&query=ehx
  14. It absolutely would! I know some users have felt like their voice isn't getting heard in relation to Firehawk but https://line6.ideascale.com/ still remains the best place to voice this stuff as product managers do check in on ideascale frequently.
  15. Snapshots are like presets within a preset. On Helix you can use snapshots to turn things on/off as well as make parameter changes to your amp/effects, ex: snapshot 1 has delay on and reverb mix: 30%, amp drive: 60%, snapshot 2 has the delay off reverb mix: 40% and amp drive: 30%. This lets you change between different settings without the slight gap that occurs when changing presets.
  16. Not seeing any issues with the store on my end
  17. Have you installed the drivers for Spider V on your PC? Also make sure Spider V is up to date with firmware. You can navigate and find the drivers from here: http://line6.com/software/
  18. I'm not sure which all presets demo the newest stuff, but if you head to the "templates" setlist, hidden in the very last preset of that setlist is an interesting preset that makes use of the new 4 OSC generators via use of snapshot 2. More of an easter egg than anything.
  19. Helix does work great as an interface, definitely worth the try. Let us know if you figure out/need more help with this, thanks!
