  1. You can update your Amplif 150i from the app. Under the settings menu select device flash.
  2. Yep, Helix+Variax and you can get some darn good acoustic tones!
  3. Have you tried a factory reset yet? You will lose your saved settings but this usually works when a DL4 is acting funny. Reset your pedal to the factory settings by powering it up with the A and D footswitches held down - the power is turned on and off on the pedal by inserting a plug into the left mono input jack.
  4. There are a few posts for this request on ideascale you might considering up voting https://line6.ideascale.com/a/ideas/search?templateId=0&query=m+series
  5. Yes, the FBV shortboard mkII is compatible with Spider V 240HC. http://line6.com/support/page/kb/_/effects-controllers/fbv-mki-mkii-controllers/the-complete-line-6-pedal-compatibility-faq-r58
  6. I'm not sure exactly on the specifics of what you would like happening between Amplifi FX/Firehawk and Guitar Wing, but I don't think guitar wing would be able to control either Firehawk or Amplifi FX100.
  7. If Spider V had bluetooth it would probably be $100 more too. Amplifi and Spider V have differing UI/app connectivity for different players and different situations; all depends on one's needs.
  8. The G10 system will work with Spider V, whether you plug in via quarter inch from the receiver or sync the transmitter to Spider V by plugging it into the input jack. You can turn off the tap tempo light by holding the home button and selecting that option from the menu.
  9. Are you familiar with Line 6's Amplifi series of amps? It uses the same sound set as Spider V and has an app that connects via bluetooth. If you would prefer bluetooth over the use of a cable this may be a better option depending on your needs.
  10. The Strat is a good start. On the Spider IV, I would use one of the "twang" amp models and as mentioned above; spring reverb and possibly some tremolo.
  11. I personally have never encountered any noticeable change in tone when using the G10 with clean or gain sounds. Perhaps try doing as jbuhajla has recommended and letting us know if that has helped!
  12. If you liked your XT sounds I think you will joy in the firehawk sound set. Hope you like it!
  13. Anything specific you need help with? Clicking on your amp or an effect will bring up the parameters, clicking on the icon again will let you change out the effect or amp. From the tones window you can search and call up previous saved tones. These are just a few basic pointers that should get you started, let me know if you need more specifics.
  14. I run my L3t IN PA mode for both electric and acoustic guitars going through Helix. Using electric guitar mode on the L3t emulates a 212 cab, and since Helix is doing all my cab modeling PA mode makes the most sense for me and works well with acoustic sounds.
  15. As Charlie_Watt mentioned above, modeled acoustic sounds require the same type of sound reproduction required with a normal acoustic instrument. Plugging an acoustic guitar into a standard combo amp typically does not produce desired results, same thing with the modeled sounds. A PA, acoustic amp, or some sort of FRFR speaker is your best bet.
  16. I don't believe there is a way to lock in a parameter so moving the knob would have no effect. Which model Spider V are you using? The knobs moving from vibrations from the volume coming from the amp really shouldn't be happening.
  17. Do you have any recording software? Mac or PC? Recording with amplifi can be as simple as plugging in amplifi to your computer via USB depending on your setup.

    Spider V with banjo

I have never tried it but it is definitely possible. I recommend trying preset 3D Acoustic APX; it sounds great with acoustic guitar, and with a little tweaking I'm sure could offer the same quality sound with banjo etc. As mentioned above, Spider V amps are FRFR (full range flat response) via a speaker and tweeter, which is great for acoustic reproduction.
  19. The Amplifi series is not as advanced in terms of modeling as POD HD500X. The harmony synth and and bender are the main pitch based effects in Amplifi.
  20. Nice! I saw this post and wondered why does my strat arm clear my G10 no problem? ....I forgot I had a strap malfunction years ago and the bar is a little bent, I guess to my advantage
  21. I found this feature request posted on the Line 6 ideascale, a place where end users can post and vote on product feature requests. 22. Both guitars are right around the same weight, 7.8lbs~. The JTV69 has the better build quality over the standard.
  23. I thought this might be of interest to any Variax owners out there! https://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Line-6-We-are-seeking-candidates-for-1-on-1-product-feedback/869224-23508
