You should be able to identify which tone is in preset slot A from the app, and decide from there whether to overwrite. You could do a factory reset to restore the factory presets, just make sure you have saved any tones you want to keep before doing so. To perform a factory reset press and hold Master Volume knob and Tone button as you power up the unit, keep holding them both down until you see the LED's around the Master Volume knob light up. Alternatively, if you know which preset you are missing I can see if I still have it and upload it to the cloud for you to download.

Try running from "amp out" on FX100 to the "return" on your Flextone's effects loop. Check out this video it should be of some help!
-
Awesome, thanks for sharing!

The main outs on FX100 are line level so you shouldn't need a DI box. I found a few videos that should provide some useful info for you.

Hi chrispdyer7, there is an ongoing thread discussing Helix and FH1500 integration that will hopefully be of some use to you. http://line6.com/support/topic/25656-helix-with-firehawk-1500/

I have used a Cat7 cable with mine, no problem. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019VSRQTO

The FBV2 can't control looping on the Spider V 60. You will need an FBV3 or the older FBV Shortboard MKII.
-
The easiest way is through the app. Hit the share button and hit "Save to My Tones as..." this will allow you to rename the tone before it is saved.
-
To turn off amp modeling, go to the clean amp category, the first selection is no amp. As for effects, just make sure they are turned off on the device or through the app.
-
That is a tough one; it depends on which features you want/need from your gear. Somethings to consider; HD500X powers and controls Variax, but will require an a powered speaker or amp for sound. The modeling in HD500X is also more advanced than Spider V. Spider V is all in one (modeling + FRFR sound production), plus the metronome and drum tracks. Spider V also has built in wireless. FBV 3 would be another purchase in controlling Spider V. On HD500X you edit tones on the computer, with Spider V you edit tones on a mobile device (phone or tablet).
-
FBV3 is simply a foot controller and is used to control the Spider V 240. HD500X cannot control Spider V 240. There are options to use them in conjunction but because both units handle amp and efx modeling it is perhaps not an ideal setup. To use HD500X with your Spider 240; one option is to plug into the guitar input on the front of Spider 240 with all modeling in the Spider 240 turned off. Alternatively you could plug in HD500X to the aux input on the back of Spider 240, but this is less than ideal. Out of the gear you mentioned, HD500X is your best option to use with Variax. HD500X can power Variax through the VDI connection. You can also program guitar model and tuning changes to happen on the Variax through POD HD500X. You can use Variax with Spider V 240, you would just plug it in like a regular guitar and as long as the Variax's battery is charged you can still use all the Variax guitar modeling.

Cloud tone search restriction in amplify remote
ADBrown replied to DCWALSH's topic in AMPLIFi TT/FX100
At this time searches are just limited to 30 tones, and there is not another way to view a list of tones in the cloud for Amplifi other than the remote app. You are not the first user to find issue with the cloud searching on Amplifi remote. There are posts on ideascale requesting enhancements to the cloud searching functions of the app, though I did not see one for viewing more than 30 tones in a search when I checked. In case you are unfamiliar, ideascale is a place where end users can post and vote on feature requests for Line 6 products. Line 6 product managers do check in on ideascale, so it is the best spot to make feature requests. https://line6.ideascale.com -
Not to downplay kinglexrt's suggestion, but it seems like a lot of work when there are already a lot of great tones to work and tweak from already available on the cloud in the Firehawk app. Choose the tones menu in the app and you can search by style, genre, song, or artist. You can also vote on tones, as well as save them in your app or to your Firehawk.

Hi Johnny2Shoes, sorry I didn't mean to come off as dismissive of your situation. I was trying to ascertain your situation and share a bit of my experience in similar situations. I think you misunderstood, I'm not suggesting a venue rearrange it's PA for you, I'm suggesting they run a single XLR from Helix to the PA as it is. It's a virtual equivalent of plugging in your pedalboard to a mic'd amp on stage. I understand this is not a solution if direct monitoring or PA size is a problem. I do find stacking pedals (often with one set heavier, and one set to almost a clean boost) in Helix helps me get good fusion-y lead sounds out of a real amp, you may know and have tried this already. I'm a Guthrie and Holdsworth fan myself, and I've found to achieve their lead tones less is more in terms of gain. "Heavy transparent distortion" as you put it, is hard to quantify and perhaps counterintuitive. If you want transparent, to me that means the pedal helps the amp achieve its own natural distortion/breakup without little to no coloration and no eq change from the pedal itself. Transparent drives and distortions really push the amp and will only give as much as that particular amp has. Distortion naturally compresses and colors a sound, and to achieve heavier sounds you are going to need more gain (which will color the sound) and even some EQ. If you are at the will of whatever amp the venue has with very limited time to setup/ dial in and possibly no access to the EQ on the amp, then you already have quite a few disadvantages working against you getting the tone you want irrespective of what equipment you have. I agree it would be nice to see some more Line 6 developed OD's and distortions in Helix, and hopefully in time we do! Best of luck with your studies.

I just gotta say I've been watching this thread and have been enjoying the interaction between Line 6 and customer, awesome!

Amplifi TT will work as an audio interface to output audio to your speakers. As for balanced/unbalanced, it is unlisted in the manual and I've been hard pressed to find the info elsewhere, hopefully someone chimes in with this or I come across it elsewhere and let you know!

I'd be curious to know what single channel amps you are trying to drive with Helix? Also, if you're gigging I am kind of surprised that a sound person would continually make you use a single channel backline amp. Most sound guy are happy to have less volume coming off the stage from a physical amp, not worrying about mics getting moved, and then have it all controlled and mixed through the PA. I have had some sound guys be a little grouchy about having to run Helix direct to the board, but once they hear it and get the simplicity, they are all for it.

Firehawk FX and Amplifi 150 & Fender Deluxe Reverb
ADBrown replied to harleymon's topic in AMPLIFi TT/FX100
Hi Harleymon, I'm not sure I completely understand your question; you want a pedal that connects and controls both amps? Or you want to send the tone you're getting on Amplifi to your Deluxe Reverb so both amps are putting out the same tone? I don't think you'll be able to find a pedal to control both, as both amps require different cable to foot controllers. Also there is no direct out on Amplifi 150, so unless you try the headphone jack, there isn't a good way to send the signal from your 150 to your deluxe reverb. -
There are are no additional drum beats/loops at this time with Spider V. But if you have other software or sources for drum loops you can play them thru Spider V via the aux or USB in and still get great reproduction with the speaker+tweeter combo.
