This view on the LT that takes the place of scribble strips you are referring to is called "Performance View", and yes, you can view snapshots the same way. You can also set it up in any way you could with scribble strips, ex: stomp/snap, snap/preset, snap/stomp, etc.

Just because it happens to be my favorite amp model... the Litigator model could also worked if you set it for just a bit of bite and added in a modulation effect.
-
You can reorder presets, but it does take some saving/overwriting to do so. There isn't a way to reorder the amps/effects as they appear on the menu. Amps and effects each have their own subcategory that does make finding what you need a lot easier. Just curious, are you using the amp or screen on the Spider V to get around the unit?

I believe Junior Marvin played through a Roland JC-120, and some of Bob's other guitarist used Twins a long with a few other cleanish amps .A Twin plus an overdrive pedal, definitely some wah, and perhaps some reverb and possibly delay to taste is a good starting point. Let me know if you need any more assistance!

Modeling has come a long way, all the nuance and magic that happens with tube driven cleans and light break-up/crunch can be reproduced by modeling. You can incorporate analog pedals with Helix and they will hit and react with the amp model the same as they would with the real life complement. I used a big ol'heavy Twin as well as an AC30 for a long time, now I'm very happy with the "Mail Order Twin" and Vox models in Helix. Also the Litigator amp model for more break up type sounds. Depending on the gig I still use some analog pedals in conjunction with effects inside of Helix.

Line 6 also documents guitar rigs with tone templates, which we are continuously adding to. These are great starting points for building tones. You'll also see them turn up in Line 6 events such as the current Tone Made Pro event ft. Helix LT. http://line6.com/tone-templates/

Both are solid units. Amplifi is primarily controlled through bluetooth via a free android/iOS app, THR10 is controlled like a traditional amp. With Amplifi you will get more amp and effects models overall. Through use of the app Amplifi also has jam tracks, tone matching to songs, and you can upload and download tones from the cloud. Playing back music sounds great on Amplifi 30 with its built in 4 speaker system. You can download the app for free and check it out to get a general idea of how the app is used to control Amplifi.

I've found selecting Helix in the software field leads me to a page where 2.20 is listed as the most recent editor to download. Selecting Helix from the products page allowed me to find 2.21, anybody else seeing the same?
-
Search under Helix, on the Helix software page the 2.20 editor will be located at the top. Download button is in the bottom right hand corner of the 2.20 post. http://line6.com/software/index.html

I don't think you can use License Manager to update/interface with either Spider IV 75 or FBV S.board MKII. You will need the Spider IV editor and the FBV Control software, you can find both here: line6.com/software

The price of Native for Helix Rack/Floor owners will be $99, I believe for Helix LT the price of Native will be $299.
-
The Line 6 Insane model has to yet to appear on Helix but you will currently find the Line 6 Elektrik, Doom, Epic, Fatality and Badonk, all in the high gain realm.
-
Most users find they need an OTG adaptor to connect Android devices to Spider V.
-
There are reports of users deliberately failing to follow the update process just for the shot of cheap mezcal

Select your volume pedal block, push in and hold down the knob the that corresponds to the position parameter, set Min Value: 50%, and Max: 100%

You could connect a looper pedal after an Amplifi tt, as well as FX100. Another route I've seen users take is connecting an Ipad via USB with the camera connector kit and using an app to loop.

List of grievences with Amplifi and FBV3
ADBrown replied to xmacvicar's topic in FBV Controllers (MKI / MKII / 3)
Not having colored foot switches with Amplifi is a bummer, but I haven't found any issue with the tuner or the speed at which it changes presets. -
Can the TT be used as a quality PC audio interface?
ADBrown replied to amheck's topic in AMPLIFi TT/FX100
Yes, the TT can function as your interface. Simply plug it in and set your audio drivers. -
Holding A/C on startup puts the unit in update mode.

Unfortunately there is not an Octave effect that can be set by range ex: E2-A3, which would drop most of the notes along the E and A string an octave and let you chord on the top 4 strings. Feel free to check out https://line6.ideascale.com a place where end users can submit and vote on ideas. Note sure if this idea has been posted yet.

Will a G50 system conflict with my bandmates?
ADBrown replied to irekord's topic in Relay Digital Wireless
I don't have any experience with the 2 wireless systems your bandmates are using, but I think between the 3 devices you should all be able to run wireless. Just take the time in finding the best channels for each of you to use. -
I typically use mine in Ref/PA mode, and like another user mentioned, the L2 is connected to Helix via L6 Link and out to FOH via XLR.

Depending where you are located, Firehawk FX is currently 449.99 at a few retailers in the US. There has been a promotion every couple of months for Firehawk FX at 349.99, this promo is not currently in effect but may come back around in a few months.
