  1. I take that you are up and running with the M13 and JMP?
  2. Much the same way it occurs on the forum, users don't always take the time to search out existing posts and duplicates can happen. And some requests are very similar yet contain small differences, or sometimes you get multiple feature requests in one post. There are lots of requests for apps/software for similar platforms and even for some legacy products. So, no ideascale isn't perfect in this regard, but the time it would take to round up and tie together all the same posts, while they are also continually coming in is quite the endeavor. I was unable to corroborate "well over 1000" for Amplifi computer editor after doing a thorough search of ideascale. The actual staff working on this stuff at Line 6 is probably a lot smaller than you may think, and as of late Helix has been getting priority because it was designed to be a platform that can be built off of or expanded upon. Aside from firmware updates for fix bugs etc, Amplifi isn't a platform that was meant to be expanded upon. A computer based editor would be awesome with Amplifi, and who knows, perhaps one day we will get one.
  3. It sounds like for your intended uses Firehawk would work fine. I've never attempted to use Firehawk as an interface with an ipad, but as long as you have the correct adaptor it should work fine. I'm only a little bit familiar guitar rig 4; I would say Firehawk is comparable in sound if not better.
  4. Yep, chances are that there isn't enough to DSP to drop in the looper on 2A. You'll have to delete or move something to free up space.
  5. I found an older, similar, post that should help you out. http://line6.com/supportarchive/thread/40844/
  6. Yep! Voting and posting on ideascale is the best way to get your voice heard on product features. Product managers frequent the pages, they are listening.
  7. For this situation I would dial back from something really high gain until I found the sweet spot instead of building up to that point. So, I would start with some probably very high gain and dial back until I get the desired tone, instead of starting low and building to that point. Sometimes its better to reach a max and strip away what you don't need instead of incrementally add.
  8. Since Yamaha has acquired Line 6, I think it would be awesome if Line 6 did something similar to the EHX xxx-9 pedals but with some classic DX-7 sounds
  9. Does that mean if I drink coffee, take selfies, and use Firehawk FX I'm not a musician? :P
  10. The Spider V's acoustic handling and the built in wireless features are definitely a big plus. Spider V does have an app, very similar to Firehawk, you can edit on, however it is not bluetooth and you must be connected via a cable to the amp. Spider V is definitely simple, you have all modeling and sound reproduction in one box, with some nice add ons (G10t wireless, FBV3). The Firehawk FX would require an amp or speaker. A lot of people run modeling units like the Firehawk FX through a guitar amp via 4 cable method or through a FRFR (full range flat response) speaker.
  11. Hi, it's been sometime since, but I have had success recording bluegrass/folk style music with the similar UX1. There's a few threads floating around on this forum that can give you a good general introduction to compressors. I've listed them below. http://line6.com/support/topic/23488-compressors-explained/ http://anythingpeaceful.org/sonar/settings/comp.html

    DAW latency

I get a negligible amount of latency using my Helix with Logic. Using direct monitoring from the Helix and turning off monitoring in logic as suggested above I have always found to work.
  13. Helix does sound like a good solution for you, but plugging it into the front of your AC10 will probably not give you the tonally desired results. There are very good Vox amp and cab models (among many others!) in Helix if you really like the Vox sound. A lot of people use FRFR (full range flat response) systems to plug their Helix into. Another option, as mentioned above, is to use the 4 cable method (4cm) this requires an amp with an effects loop. With this option you wouldn't use cab modeling in Helix because you are plugging into a physical cab.
  14. Hmm, I've never noticed this before myself. But after trying it out I see what you mean. It doesn't bother me too much, but feel free to post it on ideascale, I could not find this mentioned when I searched through just now.
  15. Yes, you can switch channels on an amp via the M13 and midi. I have never attempted this but after poking around on this forum I see many users have successfully done this. I found where someone has made this work with a JVM that might be of interest to you. http://jvmforum.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=8556
  16. 2 3/8 in or 2.375in = 6.0325cm 3 7/8 = 9.8cm

    Amp Record out Buzz

As psarkissian said, sounds like a ground loop issue. I assume you are using the Spider V 120 or 240? It sounds like you already have an interface, but consider trying the USB out to record direct from Spider V to your computer.
  18. Yep, I find myself messing with volume to drive and presence on a lot of presets. Definitely could be the P90s!
  19. A few out of the box favorites: Dragon Glass, Dev Lead, and for acoustic guitars: Acoustic APX. I find some of them just need a bit of tweaking and they sound pretty good. Feel free to check out any Spider V tones I've posted on the cloud by searching my username: adbrown
  20. There are some interesting effects in the filters/synth/pitch category that when combined with a wah or other effects might get you closer to that sound. If you are interested in making a product suggestion, check out https://line6.ideascale.com you can post and vote on user ideas.
  21. Wow, I've been trying to figure it out and can't! I found Sean's preset on the Amplifi cloud, and the only clue he left was "Blues" under the genre.
  22. Hi stova666, unfortunately the FBV Express can't change banks with the Amplifi series. You will need either a FBV Shortboard mkii or the FBV3. There is a user request for this feature on Line 6 ideascale you may consider voting for. If you are not familiar, ideascale is a place where end users can post and vote on Line 6 product ideas. Product managers do check up on ideascale so it is the best way to get your voice heard. https://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Better-integration-with-FBV-Express-mkII/640195-23508
  23. I would first trying reseting the device. To reset the DL4 Hold the outer 2 buttons (A and D) as you power on the DL4 (Plug in the 1/4" jack in the left/mono input to power on).
  24. Hey krschn, the best place to posts product requests is on Line 6's ideascale website. On ideascale end users can post and vote on ideas they'd like to see happen with Line 6 products. Product managers do look at ideascale, so it is the best place to get your voice heard. https://line6.ideascale.com/
