  1. No, it will not currently work without using the included interface.
  2. the pitch glide has been the same for about 7-10 years now... it is what it is... i'd recommend seeking another solution if it's important enough to you... the current pitch guide effect is unlikely to get any substantial upgrades.
  3. It's not a restriction.... my understanding is that the amplifi app reads the data from the music file... itunes match does not have the data files.... they exist in the cloud.... no data files=no data to search from.
  4. it sounds like you have a firewall or antivirus blocking access to the server. have you tried disabling all of that?
  5. when using L6LINK you dont have to set the output mode it will set automatically based on what's plugged in. you DO NOT typically want to use "no cab" with the DT amps... that will hose your sound up and leave you confused... all the DT amp models use cabs if you're looking for an authentic sound... you can of course change any of that if it pleases you.... but ideally you wouldn't.
  6. did you go to the license manager and authorize it? the interface itself probably already works... it's the pod farm license that sometimes takes a little effort... but it's literally tons amps and effects.. and worth the effort.
  7. did you download the latest monkey: http://line6.com/software/ the included disk is nearly always out of date.
  8. what tri-ryche is trying to say... and i agree... is that even with the details of your tone... if you set things exactly the same on the HD (if your lucky enough to have the same amp model) your tone will not sound the same... will not respond the same... the effects are entirely different... etc dont blame you for trying to get a reference point... but expect that to only be the beginning... as its ALOT different. i think pod farm will work with single tones... but not bundles... (and i'm not positive of that...)
  9. True. The toneport has a standard pod farm license... and you have a toneport. (the "full" license is platinum not standard)
  10. the standard license starts at 99$ includes the same sounds as your included license (model packs can be purchased) and yes you can use it with any ASIO/coreaudio compliant interface.
  11. from the sounds of things... your running perfectly normal... when you buy a toneport that comes with pod farm... the toneport owns the license. no toneport plugged in = no license.
  12. if your version of pod farm came with your UX2 and you've never paid for an upgrade then the license is 100% tied to the UX2 and it must be plugged in. if you paid for an upgrade, you can go to the license manager and authorize your computer to use the license.
  13. i'd contact support and ask directly... http://line6.com/company/contact/ they would be able to give you a definitive answer.
  14. yes with an x3 connected you can open gearbox and view your saved tones. i don't think you can print anything that useful... best to try screenshots and make you a word document or something, i would think.
  15. you will be completely fine.. the longboard will work with it... there just may be some buttons that don't do anything... but all the basics are covered. you won't have to replace it.
  16. you don't have to buy anything... also ... noone has to make exactly what you want to buy either.... just saying... its pretty clear given your statement that the amplifi is not for you at the current time... and may or may not ever be...
  17. love my shortboard, but i use it with other things. pods/amps/computers etc.... dont have an amplifi. don't see how you could go wrong... i highly doubt that there will be any other options anytime soon if ever.
  18. exactly as bigchas says... YOU may not have a license... YOUR current toneport might have a license... if you change toneports... your license may change as well. (does not apply if you paid for an upgrade SEPARATELY from the toneport)
  19. backup your setlists, and then reflash it... allow the firmware to install all the factory tones. do the global reset/calibration after... and see if the problem goes away (do not reinstall your tones) most likely you have a bad tone from an older firmware installed... if this works, you might try putting your tones back at some point... preferably one at a time so you can identify the bad one... might be easier just to start over though...
  20. the older redface toneports did not come with a license for the plugin... = it wont work as a plugin.
  21. Yeah they are aware of the misprint, and have an announcement on the forums... and will sure correct the print. i just think IOS7 is an easier thing to determine than the generation of some devices so i threw that out to simplify.
  22. the REAL and absolute measure of which IOS devices will work... is simply that it must support IOS7 if your device supports IOS7, it will work... if NOT, it WILL NOT work.
