Yes a complete and dismal failure... that just happens to have pages of good reviews and won an award at NAMM.... seriously.. it can be something that does not fit your needs... AND not be a failure. AWARDS NAMM University - Best In Show NAMM VIDEO COVERAGE Guitar Center: https://www.youtube....h?v=INdxYHjrym0 (Interview with Paul Foeckler) Guitar World: https://www.youtube....ure=c4-overview Gitarre & Bass (DE): http://www.gitarreba...r-Cloud-3763482 Premier Guitar: http://www.premiergu...mplifi-150-demo Session (DE): https://www.youtube....h?v=d52-F4asQZg SonicState (UK): http://www.sonicstat...om-line-6-video/ REVIEWS/EDITORIAL Music Radar: http://www.musicrada...c-player-592226 "Four-and-a-half out of five stars." "Line 6, purveyor of modeling technology as seen in the POD series, is known for pushing the boundaries and its latest product, revealed on the first day of the 2014 NAMM show, certainly demonstrates that innovative streak, big time." " We all love to play along with our favourite songs and this is by far the most convenient way to do that yet invented." "Verdict: Putting a music playback system and a versatile guitar amp in a single box is a mad/genius idea that actually works, and works well." Gizmodo: http://gizmodo.com/a...-off-1507735372 "Ultimately, Line 6 hasn't really made a product for purists or nerds at all here but for consumers. It's a complete "experience" much the way that other products you buy these days are. It's more than a really loud speaker box. You're not expected to come to the table with much else—except for a guitar and maybe some chops to make the thing sing. The Amplifi is not for everyone, but Line 6 is one of those companies that ha been doing digital long enough that they might actually pull it off. I'm certainly excited to give this amp a try—even if I'm not going to get rid of my Twin and my pedal board any time soon." SoundColorVibration: http://soundcolourvi...4/01/23/amplifi/ "...this amp shows much potential in its practicality, capability, and style and has set a new standard for what a guitar amplifier can offer in our modern digital revolution." LoopInsight.com: http://www.loopinsig...mp-and-ipad-app/ "Overall, I loved AMPLIFi, both as a guitarist and from a technology standpoint…This is an amp I’ll be using a lot." that looks killer, but far overpriced for a dumb controller... you can get a full hardware daw for the price.
-
so you're saying that every boss pedal you ever used, every digitech pedal, every tube screamer etc... had a power switch? cause i'd have to disagree based on my experience..... remove the water pump... water stops pumping... remove the power switch and power flows unrestricted... worst.analogy.ever.
-
exactly as cheesy as most effects pedals (not most multi-effects) i never could understand how a "nice to have" feature like a power switch, was such a big deal to some.... the pod HD's were the first L6 modeling boards to use DC power... the previous pods had some issues with power switch failures... moving to DC made it much safer to omit the powerswitch/point of failure. anyway... a power switch would have been nice... but there are many things i'd change before i got to that particular issue.

I have no idea what i just read... but you like it enough to copy it on more than one topic... -
Line 6 Should Offer Low Cost/free Upgrade From Hd To Hd-x
TheRealZap replied to DeAllen's topic in POD HD
found your problem. seriously.. so many people make this type of mistake... if you approach it like a room full of amps and effects rather than a conversion for whatever you had before... you get loads better results. anyway... you apparently have other issues with your unit as well... issues that myself and many others have not had... it's not the product for you... we know... good luck with your future products. -
that app is well worth it.
-
sounds like its cabled right... but there are different output modes in the x3, i'd look there... just a hunch though... as i said i havent used an x3 in a few years.
-
been a while since i used the x3, are you coming out of the xlr? perhaps you have selected an output mode that uses those "fixed"?
-
for the integration you'd love the pod hd stuff... but you could feed the x3 out into the effects return on the DT and get some nice results.
-
well get crackin... we expect a fully confirmed report in about 3 months :D

Old Workbench , Help
TheRealZap replied to guilhordas's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
The old workbench doesn't work with the "x" hd pods. and they do not intend to add it. the "x" hd pods will get workbench HD functionality when it is added to the pods. the 500/pro non "x" versions of the hd pods will work with the old workbench. -
Pod Hd Pro X Worth It? What About Audio Interface?
TheRealZap replied to markkittus's topic in POD HD
yeah thew m5 is a powerhouse for as simple as it is. i agree with you though... both the m13 and m9 need a 100$ price drop to make sense anymore... in their current price range they only serve to make the pod hd's more attractive... i mean i'd seriously get a second hd500x before i'd get a m13 if i was shopping retail. if it was 100$ less it would be a viable option if it met my needs. -
Pod Hd Pro X Worth It? What About Audio Interface?
TheRealZap replied to markkittus's topic in POD HD
I've added an M5 in the loop of my 500 midi connected... and it works flawlessly with NO configuration whatsoever... sure the m9 would be the same... all you have to do is change the pod to the tone you want and then change the M pedal to the preset you want... save the tone on the pod... next time you select the tone on the pod the M pedal will switch automatically. -
Pod Hd Pro X Worth It? What About Audio Interface?
TheRealZap replied to markkittus's topic in POD HD
it's always going to depend on what you choose... but you might not find dual amps as necessary as the x3.... the amp models are alot different. just saying if you approach with an open mind and a tone in your head.... you'll get better results than just trying to do what you've always done. -
Pod Xt Pro + Mkii Shortboard Issue
TheRealZap replied to Sc0rch's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
yeah the pedal is 100% pre-programmed and unchangeable when it comes to hardware... unless the hardware allows you to adjust. the XT does not. the usb is 100% for using with a computer or applying updates to amps thats it. -
Pod Xt Pro + Mkii Shortboard Issue
TheRealZap replied to Sc0rch's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
you cant change anything with the control software that would affect the pod... the control software only changes the way it will control things on your PC... its hardwired to work with the pod. having said that, i have no idea why the manual says what it says... keep in mind though that the MKII came out after the XT was already finished.. so the manual may only be referring to the original shortboard. -
How To Make Your Gain/ Distortion Cleaner &more Transparrent

exactly my thoughts most of the time... i also tend to look at other amp models before messing with those deep edit parameters. -
Editing An Older Pod Xt Live
TheRealZap replied to krwilliams's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
you likely want gearbox, although line6 edit may do the same thing... gearbox is newer. -
No. None.

Pretty Clever!

the microphone you bought requires phantom power and will not work with the UX1. you need to either get a UX2 or a new (dynamic) microphone or a seperate mic preamp that provides phantom power. here is an example of one: http://www.thomann.de/gb/behringer_mic100_tube_ultragain_micpreamp.htm

Make Function 1 And 2 Fs 5 And 6
TheRealZap replied to derrabenstein's topic in FBV Controllers (MKI / MKII / 3)
you can't alter what the buttons do, the controller itself is hardwired to do what it does... the unit it's attached to determines what it does. there is currently no way to do what you want to do directly with the POD. -
Fbv Mk Ii Controller Software
TheRealZap replied to drader's topic in FBV Controllers (MKI / MKII / 3)
just go to the software pull down and select Line6 Monkey. download and run this, and it will help you get the rest of the needed software. http://line6.com/software/
