  1. i'm guessing you mean to use the iOS device fulltime... because i believe that it would still read the channel volume as shown if you manually use the amp and switch topo's on the front without the nice customizer app.
  2. sounds like a simple question... but it's not really.... it's primarily a question for the ableton people, as its a function of the software and not the kb37 what you want to do can be done... it's in fact commonly done for drum sounds etc. i can't think of the name (impulse maybe) but if you use the built in sampling you can sample and tweak sounds to your hearts content. in my experience the ableton tutorials are great! have you checked the ableton site?, if you're registered you can probably get an updated version of the software... I think i started with version 5 or 6, registered with them, and i can freely download version 8 (i have the lite version, won't let me go to version 9) that may make finding tutorials easier, although i don't think much has changed in this respect. also youtube has tons of great ableton tutorials. here's one i found quickly:
  3. I've never owned a vetta... and if there's some real math to it i'm not aware.... but to my ears 50 watt tube amp is closer to a 500 watt solid state... very loud! I would think you'd probably be louder than the vetta with the DT25 25 watt version. not having heard the vetta, or your particular tones with it, a direct comparison isn't something i can offer... but the tech behind the new HD stuff is well improved. It may require some patience and some learning... but I think your efforts would be worthwhile.
  4. it's not really possible, other than have separate settings on channel A vs channel B because it will read the knob positions. what I've done to use it this way... is to put my cleaner tones on A and my more gainy tones on B, that way the knob positions are more suited for each... still not perfect... but keep in mind despite its capabilities... its a 2 channel amp.... not an 8 channel... the real solution for me is using it with one of the pod HD's with L6LINK (all except the desktop version)
  5. they do cover it under warranty, but i believe that they've addressed it in production, and to my knowledge I've not heard of any s models having the issue.
  6. No, the options that you're seeing are the only options available.
  7. any modern PC should be able to handle this without issue... that's not to say there can't be exceptions.. because there are so many possible hardware and software configurations that problems can and do occur... you should be fine.
  8. you don't say if its windows or mac... but you need to go to the windows control panel (or sys prefs on a mac) and select the inputs etc from the line6 audio midi option within.... i mentioned this earlier, but nothing you've said leads me to believe that you've seen/adjusted the highly relevant options located there.
  9. I don't think any of the line6 interfaces have built in midi. I use a tascam us1800 that does have midi as well, if you need that many inputs. there is a wide range of m-audio interfaces that'd probably suit your needs as well.
  10. The other manner would be a midi interface, I use my TD8 through an M-audio UNO most of the time. the direct answer to your question though is that the UX2 doesn't have any midi capabilities.
  11. sounds like a great deal for someone! My 59 is black though.
  12. yes, use pod farm 1.. free to download and use.
  13. specifically, line6 support do not monitor the forums, if you have a support issue, then contacting support is the most likely option to help yourself out.... you can in turn come here and share what you learn... the project manager's do monitor this forum... but if they see it as a support issue, they may not reply and would surely want you to get the support you need through the proper support channels.
  14. you can use the mixer and pan everything to the left and use the L output...
  15. this is a user forum... no techs here... get in contact here: http://line6.com/company/contact/ if you want a direct response from line6.
  16. I'm pretty certain that i'd asked this question and have gotten confirmation that you are correct. the processing power needed for the HD models exceeds the capabilities of the apple products, especially if you want to also run things like garageband etc... I have to say though. the models are quite serviceable and work well despite the age of the technology.
  17. if it were me i'd keep it simple, if that's your budget i'd get the A60 pair you were looking it... if you can stretch the budget a little you could get real monitors: http://www.amazon.com/M-Audio-Studiophile-Powered-Monitor-Speakers/dp/B0051WAM1O/ref=sr_1_32?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1370261609&sr=1-32 they'd serve you better long term.
  18. no... usually it happens when you import tones from custom tone, or have tones you created on earlier firmware. it's pretty rare though.
  19. hold down the left direction key and power on. This should break the loop.
  20. should still work fin with the drivers installed, might be as simple as engaging the tuner to disable processing... i don't have a bass pod xt and never have so i can't be any more specific.
  21. you have to go into the control panel and select the inputs/ouputs and what you want the meters to show you.
  22. sorry it being a laptop severely limits your options. if your laptop has a PCMCIA slot, you might be able to do something like this... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16839158032
  23. No i mean an Internal PCI USB card. for example: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007531&IsNodeId=1&Description=usb%20card&name=Add-On%20Cards&Order=BESTMATCH honestly can't recall the specific one i picked up, but it may not apply to you anyway because the one you need might depend on what ports are available internally on your machine.
  24. as long as they are not USB speakers you could probably use them... I wouldn't think that they'd perform well... but they may get you by until you can get something more appropriate.
