  1. the UX2 will become your soundcard and anything played on your computer would come through the analog outputs of the UX2... no switching anything....
  2. I think the terminology is probably off here.... we do have an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) that would prevent us from telling you certain FACTS that we may come across... we do not however have restraint placed on our opinions etc.
  3. go to the control panel on your computer, there should be a line6 audio midi icon... it will only be there if you have the drivers etc installed... also make sure that you are not using anything like ASIO4ALL.
  4. you have to enable multitrack recording in garageband first, its off by default. then you need to select the mono input on the instrument screen (to the right of your multitracks) do this for 2 tracks and set the input as appropriate arm them and have at it.
  5. check the line6 applet in the control panel to see if the outputs are muted there? can't recall if there's a setting like that there... but from the pictures you've looked at alot of the usual places.
  6. perhaps windows update changed some system drivers, or some old drivers got reinstalled? do a google search for slimdrivers, it's pretty good at updating drivers that are easily neglected.
  7. In all honesty, It sounds like it needs a return trip to the service center. There are a number of things that need checked after servicing and perhaps one got missed.
  8. glad it works for you... but that sounds like an awful idea! the headphone amp would likely add tons of noise... i'd just use the 1/4" outs and set it to studio direct if thats what i liked.
  9. My guess would be a piezo going bad or possibly a setup issue... sounds like hardware and not firmware\electronics related.
  10. why not just copy the preset to all 4 positions, and then go through each one and save the effects in the condition you want them to be (on/off) or maybe i'm over simplifying what you are trying to do... but this gives you all your changes in one FS, while also allowing individual control for on/off
  11. i've had that issue once or twice when i had my x3. I ended up having to disconnect everything but the usb cable, that's what worked for me. I tended to have alot of stuff plugged in... PA, a couple of guitars, variax, etc... have you also tried downloading the firmware file and using the flash from file option? i usually try that if i'm having issues since it takes some parts of the process out of the equation... helps narrow down the troubleshooting.
  12. have you tried reinstalling an earlier firmware say 1.7x and then shooting back to the latest 1.9x? I had to do something similar when i first got mine.
  13. yes indeed: http://line6.com/company/contact/productfeedback/
  14. I did ask and get confirmation of this.... of course with no committed timeframe.... but they are working on it.
  15. the email notifications do not currently work. they are aware and are working on it.
  16. the nylon model already exists on the variax acoustic. doubtful they will use that one again... since they are replacing the acoustic models.... you need to make your request here: http://line6.com/company/contact/productfeedback/
  17. they will not make your 6 string guitar sound like a bass, if that's what you're asking.
  18. Why not just upgrade to gearbox (free) it's only about 5 years newer... and has been maintained and upgraded consistently.... Line6 edit has only gotten like 1 update in the past 10 years and that was to allow newer versions of java.... no functionality or enhancement changes.
  19. shocklngly they've removed it from their site.... seems even they think that 6 months is a bit early to announce it... but it was announced at NAMM this year... january.
  20. if they let you hook up to check the number they will probably let you update it as well.
  21. there's plenty of differences between pod farm and the xt... but mostly in your favor... dual tones..... multiple of the same type stomps.... hardware independence... model wise, though the difference between standard and platinum pod farm is all the model packs... not sure if you have the power pack separately... but that's a bog and expensive one to get without the XT.
  22. word of warning though... the new owner will lose the packs if they plug it into monkey and update it.... if its a friend tell him not to do that and he can have use.... if it's just a random guy with cash... best to remove the model packs, so that they are not angry later when they lose them. (and it happens ALOT!)
  23. as long as you buy the pod farm 2+ license, and accept that you will lose the bundled model packs... AND have another interface in which to use... it's perfectly safe to sell off the XT
  24. Italian support is aware and working on your issue. I think given your location, the request to work with your local support is reasonable.
