Pod Hd Pro No Sound From Guitar And Blue Screen Crashes
TheRealZap replied to Agile830's topic in POD HD
ASIO4ALL will give you loads of other problems stay away from it.... even if it works the latency numbers it reports are inaccurate (afterall it's not really ASIO compliant, just a workaround) there is no reason to ever use ASIO4ALL unless you have an interface in which the manufacturer does not provide ASIO drivers... creative generally does provide ASIO drivers, i would look to them for an update. although it's not a proper interface per se, and will not give you pro level results... but will likely provide you with reasonable results, depending on your expectations. -
because it adds the microphone/room emulation and changes the sound to what would be the sound of a mic'd setup... the other modes output a sound before the mic, which is more suitable for feeding a guitar amp.... however... never any rules... if one works for you... run with it.
-
not disagreeing... i'd love more models. I have no idea what if anything is in the works now.
-
why would copying or moving them help you in anyway? why not just access them where they are? now if you want to edit them... that's different... (although you can alt tune them, seeing as you "love them" why otherwise f$%^k with them? :) ) and as stated... i can confirm that the model are not editable or accessible in workbench....
-
but workbench... much like line6 edit, gearbox, and the hd edit programs... would have it's own manual so that's kind of a separate issue.... although certainly a valid point.
-
model packs do not work with the HD500... or the x3 that you list for that matter....
-
fair enough, i never have read even the basic manual so i don't know what's there and what's not... that sounds somewhat like it would be basic manual info.
-
no... XLR is only mono analogue... L6LINK is digital stereo (among other things,.)
-
there is a bass amp in there... the older models are lower quality and they would sound like it if you put it next to the other HD models... the HD models are all newly created with a higher quality process than the older pods.
-
The JTVs are pretty straight forward on their own only get complicated when integrating with the other L6 goodies. What sort of advanced information are you after?
-
I'm pretty sure that the L3 variety is stereo but not the L2. But I can't be recall where I heard it and don't have it myself.

They'll get back to you during normal business hours. Monday is a holiday though.

http://line6.com/support/tickets/ open a ticket... sounds like a bug to me. although i knew you didn't have the ilok version because they won't work with model packs. it appears that the 64 bit plugins are defaulting to an ilok authorization... i seriously think this would probably end up being something that will need to be fixed in a new version... but perhaps support has ran into this before and have another fix for you.

just open a support ticket and ask... http://line6.com/support/tickets/ It's been a "user forum" rather than a "support forum" for a while, since users complained that they wanted to hear direct from line6.... so they came up with the ticket system... many users used to come to the "support forum" and if they didn't mark their post as a question, they would not be queued up for a direct response.... apparently users got frustrated by this simple but important step... and many times they got no support at all... anyway... the ticket goes direct to support and they will answer... unfortunately, your answer will be off forum and it will not help the next person...so they too will have to open a ticket... so it's not a perfect system either.... -
there was a user generated advanced guide a while back.. that can be had here: http://www.vettaville.net/WB%20Tutorial%206%20290107.pdf

there's actually not any person from line6 that regularly reads the forums... if you want a response or to plead for some sort of exception... you need to contact them directly. http://line6.com/company/contact/ -
Pod X3 With Fbv Express Pedal-jumping To Different Banks
TheRealZap replied to jnilson's topic in POD X3
the express only does one bank, so that part sounds normal. if the usb is not connected, then gearbox isn't any kind of factor at all... you need to change banks on the x3... and then it should change between the 4 tones in the newly selected bank. -
Pod X3 With Fbv Express Pedal-jumping To Different Banks
TheRealZap replied to jnilson's topic in POD X3
is it hooked up with usb as well? i'd make sure that it is NOT... FBV cable only.because if it is, it make be sending the wrong information. -
no... because tone perception changes as the volume changes... here's how you get them level (kind of, keep in mind its not thye db's that are level just the perception of db's) set the master at a comfortable level... then adjust the tone to desired channel volume/drive/etc, and save.... once you've gone through and done this, then the volumes will all go up and down with the master volume, rather than tone by tone. probably what you were doing anyway... but that's how its done... basically do not touch the master... adjust and save.

Line 6 Ux2 Problem
TheRealZap replied to ronnierokk1972's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
just go through the settings in ACID and set the audio device/ASIO driver to the line6 ASIO driver. then all of your recording options should be available when you create a new track.... that's of course the generic version of what you need to do, as i don't explicitly have acid to be more specific. -
Changing Strings On Jtv-59
TheRealZap replied to nikoniablue's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
that's pretty standard... the video shows a little more clever way of doing it, because it essentially locks the string over itself... it's as close as you can get to locking tuners without locking tuners as it provides many of the same benefits. both ways of course are valid, and i use them both... -
of course you can use the distortion/drive on the amp with any of the FX. if you want more metal drive perhaps use, the uber amp might be one to look at.
-
I'm going to guess that you have an HD300 or HD400... but the answer is you can't do it. (assuming my guess was correct)
-
don't know if it's the head or combo you have... but demand is so low at this point that I don't think you'll find much interest... however, i wouldn't be surprised if you could get nearly 200$ out of the VDI card alone on ebay.... (they are IMPOSSIBLE to find) and possibly the same for the amp depending on if its the combo or head.... just a guess though.... but pretty much ebay or craigslist...
