  1. the usb port cannot be used for midi. sorry.
  2. there are no midi ports on the 300, and no way to rig up USB/Midi to the device.
  3. We aren't running the forum, we simply point out anything we see of concern and it gets reviewed/acted upon.
  4. Chuckewheat has been warned previously that posts attacking users of the forum is against the terms of use: http://line6.com/termsofuse.html Reference: You will not post any threatening, harassing, libelous, false, misleading, defamatory, insulting or offensive text, whether directed towards Line 6, Line 6's products, Line 6's employees, or another Website user. His offending posts have been hidden and he will risk his ability to post if he continues to post in this manner. Attacking users, whether they be "experts" line6 official, or any other forum member is "not cool".
  5. there should certainly be some left handed models... but this argument makes no sense... high end is high margin.... in a lower margin/mass market product... you make your money by selling more.... no matter what hand you play with... you have to concede there are many more right handed players... and therefore more opportunity to sell more... all that as a given, perhaps they should have at least made a USA left handed model by now... not as easy as simply cutting a mirror image of the guitar and stringing it backwards.... the electronics board may need to be completely redesigned to put the controls etc in the right place... the internal cavities changed or whatever... by all means keep pushing and asking and promoting the idea... just saying... if it was simple... it would already have been done.
  6. that's normal, you need to work within a single setlist. you can change setlist on the unit by pushing the button left of the screen twist to select and hit enter on the desired setlist.
  7. not even that... because the tonestack settings etc are not part of the preset... and you can't really set more than 2 channels A/B to be "ready"... but yeah we're both basically right... it just has some serious footnotes to it.
  8. turns it into an amp factory... you can do stuff on the DT amps you cant do on the pod... such as mixing preamps with different power amp models.... an AC30 with an ubershall style power amp... you can do that... a JCM800 preamp with a fender style power amp... you can do that... etc... yeah that too :D anyway... like i said in my original warning: best advice... low gain channel A hi gain channel B because the knob positions will instantly re-read when you select amps... and it can get wildly louder... by separating in this manner you can have more workable knob settings on your channels. *** basically you have 8 presets, BUT it's still a 2 channel amp***
  9. i'd open a ticket on that one for sure... very strange.
  10. here's the link to the archive... http://line6.com/supportarchivenew/ however, i think there may have been other issues, and the posts may be lost for good.
  11. I see what you mean now. there is simply a single page, even though the counts are right.... i think this is an issue with some posts being hidden/removed that they looked at a week ago.... missed some stuff i think... i'll elevate.
  12. same number of postings i show... i suspect you may have a filter enabled... try looking at the one shown here or other similar things on the page:
  13. wonder if the acoustic 700 brain would load into the electric? that could be interesting.
  14. loads more posts that that you should see post counts like the ones outlined in blue on this screenshot.
  15. the forum software was updated a while back, and the old posts were archived... not sure if that's what you mean?
  16. you have to select "put" in the gearbox memory window. best not to edit on the pod directly when gearbox is open.
  17. Charlie is right... if you change the resolution, you will sacrifice quality greatly... as well as other possible annoyances such as your desktop icons moving etc.
  18. look at the top of the forum and get the dt customizer software. you'll need a midi interface... recommend m-audio UNO. yes the settings are sticky and will remain after powering moving etc... not really permanent as there is a way to revert back... and of course you can change them as many times as you like.... best advice... low gain channel A hi gain channel B because the knob positions will instantly re-read when you select amps... and it can get wildly louder... by separating in this manner you can have more workable knob settings on your channels.
  19. typically they are both in monkey as an option. i see thats not the case from your screenshot. I'd open a support ticket on that one, as i've not seen it before. http://line6.com/company/contact/
  20. you cant run pod farm standalone with an x3, its only the plugin version... launch your daw and search for VST's
  21. he means the description... a guy could go nuts trying to understand you 2! hahah :D
  22. Don't think that pod farm 1 was ever done with a non-interface/pod promo only 2.5+
  23. ok, but if you paid extra for pod farm 1, it still required line6 hardware... unfortunately... in order to have full use of pod farm without line6 hardware you'd need a pod farm 2.5+ license. so it possible to have a paid license and still lose it, it seems. the license should not go with your XT in that case... but you wouldn't be able to access the license without appropriate line6 hardware.
  24. Looks like they added the update to vista now, monkey should read correctly.
