  1. the original workbench software will not work with the hd500x or hd pro-x sorry.... you'll need an older pod. (the hd500 does work, and everything older)
  2. it is usable for creating tones and practicing over a riff here and there.... just not as a live looper in my opinion... there are many other reasons i find the pod hd looper unusable for me... recording time never factors in.... it needs some quantizing and rhythm capabilities more than time.... having said that i picked up the monster RC300... because it does those things.... as it was designed to be a looper... the pod was designed to be everything else with a bonus looper lite... there is next to no chance that the time or any other substantial changes will happen to the pod looper.... because it is and was a sort of add on afterthought and not considered part of it's core functionality. you can always request it here: http://line6.ideascale.com/ who knows... they might surprise me... either way posting there will certainly give the concept visibility and likely enhance the nextgen pod if changing this one is not possible.
  3. you shouldn't have to transfer... if you bought the model pack you can install it on 4 devices/computers at one time using the license manager.
  4. well the bucker changes the bridge tone, because it's not angled like the single coil... just made that position not the same for me... also didn't add up the same for me with bridge/middle either. I have 2 strats currently, and prefer the variax... far surpasses the versatility of any strat bucker or no! haha :)
  5. the tuner only works on input 1, if the variax is setup as another input it would not work.
  6. if you can connect to hd500x edit you can save bundle... should be in one of the pulldown menus
  7. if you upgraded logic, then that's the problem... logic pro x does not support 32 bit plugins, you'll need to upgrade to pod farm 2.5x you can try reaper or some other daw that will use 32 bit plugins as a test...
  8. was just something to try... if you can try on another computer... sometimes it's an issue with software installed on a computer, or driver conflict etc...
  9. you don't upgrade without monkey... you download the file: http://line6.com/software/ open monkey... connect to pod.... select firmware... select flash from file.... lead monkey to downloaded file... and flash.
  10. connection issue=monkey's ability to connect to the internet, not the ability to connect the pod to monkey and by disconnecting everything else... i mean unplug guitars, speakers, headphones, other instruments etc... just power, and just USB.
  11. I do doubt it's hardware... that's why the ticket might be a better path forward... as support will know many other things it could possibly be... have you tried flashing from file? (this can help if its a connection issue) have you disconnected EVERYTHING else except usb and power? just a couple of things to try.
  12. well.... using the device doesn't require the usb port... the hardware issue could be something wrong with the usb port... for example... doubtful... but possible.
  13. I personally love the new strat, more dynamics than 1.9 and more of the tone/bite i expect from a strat... no problem getting the quack i want out of it... i'm going to guess the OP just wants something different.... i've had one of those HSS strat's myself... even a USA model... and it was ok, but the bucker is a bit anti-strat in my mind. anyway.. had the strat model debate many times over... and you either love it or not...
  14. it was all good natured and speculative... i assure you that most of these guys knew what you meant and were simply "daydreaming"/having a little fun about the possibility that you knew something they didn't. I wouldn't consider any of the responders here amongst the trolls that occasionally stop by....
  15. The only thing you can do with them without a pod is to use them to overwrite your custom "U" tones as sort of a reset. don't recall the procedure, but there is a way to do that without a pod.
  16. That feature was always kind of hidden, but always reserved for the pod's.... there is not currently a way...
  17. i been droooling for one of those triple plays since the first demo i'd seen... nice.
  18. i've used both, you won't have any issues with the pod HD. the usb streams are limited, but the driver performance and latency is entirely comparable.
  19. you wouldn't be able to switch from mags to models without a delay or noise of some sort if the modeling wasn't on standby... was likely a tradeoff... but as phill stated, regardless... even left alone on a counter.. a battery will discharge...
  20. Not sure if it's just a start, or where they are in fully implementing this... but the lounge has an RSS feed now.
  21. android apps are rare for musical instrument companies (yeah i know they exist... don't need examples) just saying not a Line6 issue... more an industry issue, and more specifically android has very diverse hardware and is not as easy to support. although i do think that the pod HD's have plenty of amp models... if you ignore the name of the amp and what its modeled after... you can get a great range of tones. if you get held up on the name of the amp or what its modeled after... then yes, you'll give up.... in any case... that argument is entirely irrelevant to the amplifi forums... best to discuss that on the pod hd forums if you desire.
  22. you can restore the amp to factory defaults by pinching the topo/pent switches together and then powering the amp on. hold together until the amp lights start flashing, then the amp will do it's thing and restore to defaults.
