  1. It's not too high... I believe it's around 70mA. It probably won't work too well daisy-chained other pedals, though. You'll probably get quite a lot of noise. The Tonecore pedals really need an isolated power supply.
  2. Nope, the Helix Control has no ability to control the floor units.
  3. I haven't used my G10 with it, but I've used my G70 with X32 while using my iPad on a mic stand nearby with no issues whatsoever. As long as you let the G10 do a channel scan by plugging it into the base, you should be fine.
  4. Was looking for a bunch of questions... Thread does not deliver. :) Welcome to the club!
  5. The blocks in Native can be automated through the DAW. They just can't be controlled directly by MIDI yet. Now, you could set up the automation lanes in your DAW to be controlled by a MIDI controller and control things that way. Eventually, there will be direct MIDI control of Native.
  6. Line 6 will replace your unit. If there really is a build issue such that there is a weak spot, they typically revise those sorts of things at the factory.
  7. Nope... Native doesn't have a concept of snapshots yet. They will be coming, though.
  8. They're 1MOhm if the loop is set to instrument and 10kOhm if it's set to line level. I just measured it here with a multimeter.
  9. Well, I'm one of the people who've not had any issues with my G70... Seriously, I've not had one dropout, and I've used it on some pretty big stages. So I'm not sure. Are you doing the channel scan when you get to the venue, and have you installed the latest firmware? As far as batteries, are you using rechargeables? I pretty much stick to the ones I get in bulk from Amazon, and haven't had any problems. I don't usually run them all the way down, but I can easily get two shows from one set of batteries.
  10. Plugging the transmitter into the base unit causes the bases unit to do a channel scan, select the best channel, and set the transmitter to that channel. So, if you plug one transmitter into the base unit while the other is active, it's always going to make the transmitter select a different channel because it will see that original channel as being busy. If you really have to charge the other transmitter while you're using the first one, your best bet might be to pick up one of these charging cables. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/RelayG10TCable?product_id=RelayG10TCable&campaigntype=shopping&campaign=aaShopping%2520-%2520Not%2520In%2520Stock&adgroup=Computer%2520Audio&keyword=&placement=google&adpos=1o1&creative=105593157481&device=c&matchtype=&network=g&gclid=EAIaIQobChMImNj77py61gIVkoRpCh3y1gr0EAQYASABEgJq6PD_BwE That way, the transmitter won't be selecting a different channel when you don't want it to.
  11. If you have the trails parameter turned on, the return remains active even if the FX loop block is bypassed, so it is possible that you would hear signal coming from the pedal even with the FX loop bypassed.
  12. There isn't really a thread here yet dedicated to Native clips, so let's get one started... I recorded this last night. This was going directly through one of the Hi-Z inputs of my interface (a Soundcraft MTK 22) and using my JTV69. The rhythm part, if you want to call it that, is the Spank (Strat) model, and the lead is the R-Billy (Gretsch 6120) model. I'm personally blown away at the responsiveness of the models, and even though I've been using Helix for over two years, I still find sounds that I didn't know were in there... This is the JTM45 Bright channel, which isn't my go-to clean by any stretch, but it might become it. I'm using the stock cabs, a dual cab block with two of the 4X12 Greenback 25s - one miced with the 409 Dynamic and the other a the 121 Ribbon. https://soundcloud.com/phil-miller-20/helix-jtm45-clean-delay This is a clip I record back in beta... I honestly don't even remember what amp model I used for this clip. It may be the Plexi. https://soundcloud.com/phil-miller-20/wide-daylight-snippet
  13. With the XLR outs set to line level, you really shouldn't have any problem getting a decent level. I have to careful not to clip the inputs on my mixer with the Helix outputs set to line level. Do you happen to have phantom power on those channels? That can attenuate the signal coming in from the Helix.
  14. I would imagine that the vast majority of people record Helix direct via USB... There's no need to really use a preamp, but even if you are going into a preamp, it shouldn't color the sound from the Helix that much...
  15. Even the Line 6 guy who did the "Tone Made Pro" class I attended, was complimentary towards Fractal gear when asked about it during the Q&A after the event...
  16. There was no 2.12 editor... 2.12 was a hotfix firmware, so it would work with the 2.11 editor. You actually would probably be OK just installing the latest version of the editor and backing your presets with it prior to doing the update.
  17. What do you mean by "more compatible"? The app seems to work fine iOS 10.3.3 on my end...
  18. When you updated the first time, did you do the reset procedure (holding FS 9 & 10 while starting up)?
  19. Well, with EXP1 and EXP2 set to global, it should behave the way you're wanting it... The only thing I can think of is making sure that you are consistent with which one you're using to control the volume pedal. If you have the volume pedal set to be controlled by EXP2 preset and EXP1 in another, that could cause a discrepancy. Also, the state of the on-board expression pedal (whether it's controlling EXP1 or EXP2) is saved with the snapshot/preset, so it is possible that you could have a different one active in the preset you're going to... That's all I can think of. It could be a bug, but 2.21 has been out for awhile, and this is the first I've heard of this. It seems like something that would have come up by now.
  20. It's the last thing in the signal chain before the XLR and 1/4" outputs (depending on whether you have it set to apply to either the 1/4" outs, XLR outs, or both). It doesn't affect any of the digital outputs. It also doesn't affect the sends, if you happen to have an output block set to one of those.
  21. Only if the previous owner didn't buy Native with the discount. The way to think of it is that each Helix comes with a coupon for the Native discount, and that coupon can only be used once.
  22. Nope, no way to do that. The Spiders don't have MIDI, so even that's not an option.
  23. Skeuomorphism is dead! Or it should be... Many other plug-ins with their highly stylized and "aged" looking equipment skins look very dated to me... The simpler the better, imo.
  24. Yes, you can access all of the modeled sounds with the 1/4" jack.
