  1. It’s only a matter of time before it is completely compatible. Native will work on Big Sur currently. It’s just that the interface can be laggy. It should be fixed soon.
  2. Seriously, I have two G10II transmitters, and I'm getting way more than two hours with them. I used the one for a two hour rehearsal earlier in the week and then proceeded to play a few hours more at home, and it wasn't dead. I used the other one this morning for a church service, and we had a hour+ rehearsal and then the service. I didn't charge it in between, and I don't believe the battery indicator on the POD Go Wireless was even down to the second bar yet.
  3. The modeling wasn’t designed to work with the guitar being tuned that low.
  4. The capacitive touch switches work the same way on the XL as they do on the HX Effects. Also, don’t forget that there’s Pedal Edit Mode as well (as there is with the HX Effects, too). If you hold down the Mode switch, you’ll go to Pedal Edit mode where you can edit parameters of blocks without having to bend down at all.
  5. You need two insert cables to use a stereo pedal that has separate left and right ins and outs, yes. If you get insert cables with all male ends, you would need any other cables. You could a y cable that a male TRS end and two female TS ends, and then you’d need additional cables. I mean, it’s pretty straightforward, really. But you have to split out the stereo ins and outs from and to the POD Go to take advantage of them.
  6. That’s because there’s no way to differentiate whether you want the Press or the Hold function when you first press the footswitch otherwise. Have you tried using the Press/Release option instead?
  7. The FACTORY 2 setlist has never been entirely populated. The presets that are called “New Preset” are just blank presets. If you did a factory reset after updating (which you should do if you haven’t), you’ll have the latest factory presets.
  8. HX Edit, which is basically the only piece of software you need for the LT, is definitely compatible with Big Sur. Try leaving the third pulldown blank in the downloads widget while searching. Just download and install the Mac version that comes up in the search.
  9. It’s probably not quite a 1/3 of a second, but there is a gap when changing presets. This is just a limitation of the DSP architecture, and is something that happens with most modelers on the market. There are a couple possible strategies to deal with it. The first one is using snapshots within a single preset. Snapshots give you instantaneous, seamless changes. If your presets are simple enough that they can fit on one processors path, you can enable Spillover Mode. In this mode, you’ll lose Path 2, but you’ll be able to instantaneously go from one preset to another. Again, any presets you use in this mode have to fit on Path 1. To enable this go to Global Settings>Preferences>Preset Spillover and set it to On. You’ll see a warning about losing Path 2. Hit OK to proceed.
  10. That’s related to what’s described here:
  11. The right side should definitely pass audio even when there’s nothing plugged into the left side. One other thing to try would be to set the bypass mode to Analog in the Global Settings menu and then hit the Mode and Tap switches together to enter Bypass All mode. Again, you should hear a signal straight from the right input to the right output.
  12. So have you just tried a simple test of plugging straight into the right input and going out of the right output into something? In a blank preset, that should pass a signal.
  13. I guess I’d try reinstalling the firmware then.
  14. Try powering down and holding down encoders 5 & 6 while powering up.

    Big Sur

As far as using Big Sur with the hardware, it’s fine. I’ve been running HX Edit on my M1 Mac Mini for a few months now. Native is still laggy on M1 machines running Big Sur, and hopefully that should be addressed soon.
  16. My guess is that it’s an early hardware prototype of the HD500X.
  17. The Stomp only has one setlist of 126 presets. The factory presets are just in that setlist. There aren’t separate factory and user setlists.
  18. Why not? Mainly I just forget about it...
  19. No. My Stomp XL has been powered on for a few weeks now, and it’s barely warm to the touch. They’re both passively cooled, it’s just that quite a bit more surface area to dissipate the heat on the XL compared to the Stomp. Why do you ask?

    EXP1, 2 & 3

Not exactly sure what’s happening here based on your description. One thing I’ll say is that if you don’t have a pedal plugged into the EXP2 jack, then the on-board pedal will toggle between EXP1 and EXP2 with the toe-switch controlling it (or whatever its state was when you saved a snapshot). EXP3 should remain unchanged and unaffected, and any assignments you made with EXP3 should stay set to EXP3.
  21. You need to set the footswitches you’re using on the Morningstar are set up as CC toggles. They should send out one value when pressed down and then another value when released. It sounds like right now you just have them set up as one shot CC commands.

    Helix HW Latency

The Boss’ lower latency has to do with it running natively at 96kHz compared to 48kHz, I believe. That is the one advantage to running at higher sampling rates. The Helix oversamples at much higher rates at various points in the signal path as well (hence the increased oversampling with 3.10), but I believe an empty path will run at 48kHz the whole way through.
  23. Yes, both inputs are active at the same time. There’s nothing unsafe about using them both simultaneously, it’s just that there’s no way to separate them down the line. I think it’s really there as a fail-safe thing in case you need to switch to using a cable for whatever reasons, your existing presets will work without having to change anything.
  24. Yes, you can do that. You just need to remove the control assignment for the Position parameter for the Gain block (I’m assuming that’s what you’re referring to as a boost because it comes in with the Position parameter tied to EXP1 by default). Just push down on the knob for Position and you’ll be taken to the controller assign menu. Instead of EXP1, just select None for the controller assignment. One other thing I’d mention is that you can boost up to 6dB in the wah block itself by simply increasing the Level parameter.
