  1. I thought you had one set of inputs with a switch to select the type. Do you have any documentation to confirm which inputs are line level? Most of those typically are line level, with the exception of phono, the reason I caution using the phono input is that it typically is an instrument level input, not line level.
  2. I see what you mean. It's usually more of an issue if your DAW and Interface aren't running the same bit rate/depth. How are you recording from the mixer?
  3. I don't think the bit rate matters if you are running the analog outs to a mixer.
  4. You could use the analog outs of the POD using 1/4" to RCA cables or adapter. You should be ok with any setting EXCEPT phono. You just have to make be careful of the levels coming out of the POD so you don't clip or fry the amp's input. Start with the POD very low and use the amp's volume. If you are using the POD as you sound device with your Mac, all you sounds from the Mac will also go through your stereo.
  5. Start with the newest version of Monkey to get current drivers, firmware, ect. http://line6.com/software/ Then you should be able to your tone files to the new pc.
  6. You should see all 4 if you have a dual tone in POD Farm. Even without it you could still send just the dry while you monitor the wet. Also, ASIO protocol only allows for one audio input/output device.
  7. Assuming you have a POD Farm 1 or 2.5 plug-in you can already do this. The POD Studio GX (black faced) typically comes with the POD Farm 2 plug-in. The Older (red faced) Toneports typically did not. When you select the GX in your DAW as the ASIO device you should have 4 ins availble from the GX. In the POD Farm miuxer view you can select what is sent to your DAW. I typically set 1/2 as dry and 2/4 as wet. With POD Farm running and you montiors connect to the GX you will be monitoring the wet while capturing both the wet and dry (onto 2 sperate tracks) and then you can add the plug-in post processing while still have your wet track as a referrence.
  8. How are you connecting your line outs? What headphones are you using?
  9. Did you run the newest Monkey to update everything? http://line6.com/software/
  10. That is correct. I know some users have routed the analog outs of the UX to the PC's Line In, but that is somewhat of a convoluted hook-up, but it may be what you're after. If that works out you should still use the UX as an ASIO device into your DAW for recording though.
  11. FWIW, here is my last build (3 years ago already!!??) I tested the UX2 with the USB 3.0 ports and had no issues. Put as Zap points out, YMMV
  12. Make sure you have current drivers for your MIDI to USB cable. M-Audio Uno is recommenced by Line6 and many users.
  13. Because you can have multiple sources routed to your mixer. In your case you pc's sound card and the UX2. Then the main outs of the mixer to your monitors and/or headphones.
  14. The part that might trip you up is - playing the guitar with "wet" signal on speakers while recording dry without noticeable latency I don't think you would be able to implement both of them simultaneously. You could get a mixer and route the main outs of the mixer to your monitors and toggle between the 2 interfaces. You could use the GX to achieve - playing the guitar with "wet" signal on speakers while recording dry without noticeable latency or you could purchase POD Farm 2.5 hardware independent (not i-Lok) and use it with practically any ASIO interface and eliminate the GX form the equation. Also, if you purchased model packs for the GX they will work with the POD Farm 2.5 license, so you can just purchase the standard. There is a 30 day money back guarantee, so if it doesn't work with your new interface you're not out the $99.
  15. Back up your patchesh and try a reflash. You can reflash with the Monkey. But it possibly sounds like one button may be stuck. DId something get spilled on it recently? With the unit off you could try pressing all the buttons sevela times.
  16. You need to route the midi from the KB37 to some sort of sound bank / virtual instrument. The KB37 key board is a MIDI controler. I think it comes with reason limited, which I belive has some virtual instruments.
  17. Unless nyour amp has a direct out for recording, you will need to mic it.
  18. On Windows, you should be able to go to the control panel and disable you Pass PODxt as the sound deivce and chose your intergrated soundcard as the defualt.
  19. So when you run Monkey you do not have green ticks for everything?
  20. Did you purchase a POD Farm 2 license? The Toneports typically came with Gearbox but you use POD Farm 1.12. Unless you purchased an upgrade to POD Farm 2, it will not run. The exception would be if you purchased the Toneport new after the cut off date which I think was Oct 2009.
  21. You don't actually rename AMP, you are renaming the entire preset, which includes everything in your chain.
  22. +1 to Zap. You need to use Gearbox if you want to tweak patches via computer.
