  1. Check out the USB Troubleshooting Guide, lots of things to try. Crackles are almost always a USB bitstream issue. http://line6.com/support/topic/217-usb-audio-troubleshooting/
  2. When you say wet and dry, do you mean the dry has your preamp and the wet has your preamp + Pod Farm tones?
  3. Is it an A/B-Y box, so he might have some other routing need?
  4. Is it possible you do not have the correct switches engaged on the Palmer?
  5. LOL!! I missed the part where he states what the DI box is. I was thinking he had a preamp going into a Toneport DI Silver or Gold.
  6. If you are recording via USB you need to do this Guitar>>Preamp>>Toneport DI Anything in your physical signal chain after the Toneport DI will not be sent to your DAW via USB.
  7. You can use the L/R analog outs with a 2 1/4" mono (TS) to 1/8" stereo (TRS) like this: (IMHO best option) http://www.amazon.com/Hosa-CMP153-Cable-Inch-Dual/dp/B000068O3C Or the headphone out with a 1/4" (TRS) to 1/8" (TRS) cable like this: http://www.zzounds.com/item--HOSCMS1 Or the headphone out with a balanced 1/4" (TRS) cable with a stereo 1/4" to 1/8 adapter. TS = Tip Sleeve TRS = Tip Ring Sleeve
  8. +1 to Zap Download and run the newest version of Monkey if you don't already have it. http://line6.com/software/
  9. +1 to Zap. You need to connect your monitoring solution directly to the X3.
  10. I wouldn't worry about installing the Catalyst software. I would try downloading the newest version of Monkey and try running it, if you can't run Monkey there is definitely a problem. http://line6.com/software/
  11. If you run Monkey do you have green ticks for drivers? Is your PC an AMD machine? If so there may be a USB filter that is bundled with their Catalyst software that has caused issues which were resolved by removing the filter.
  12. So when you run Monkey it sees the PODxt Live and has green ticks for drivers?
  13. +1 to Zap, if you are only recording one guitar at a time, you'll be fine with the standalone license.
  14. Maybe it will be POD Farm 2.55.1.77245385091, AAX compatible
  15. No, the POD Farm included with a new POD Studio is tied to the device. But any model packs you already purchased you will be able to use with the new POD Studio and POD Farm.
  16. I think there may be a niche for for this, not a huge demand, but who knows? Hopefully more of the community well respond. But me being a wannabe programer, I know the itch you have to do it anyway!! ;)
  17. +1 to silverhead You may have something configured wrong. When you say your HD is connect to the PC, are you talking about the analog outs going to your PC's soundcard, or connect via USB in which case the HD becomes your soundcard? Also, you can run the HD's analog outs to your Fast Track, but the Fast Track would be your recording/playback interface. And if you are trying to monitor plug-ins in real-time on the track you are recording you may experience unacceptable latancy.
  18. Check your PC's power settings. Make sure USB never sleeps.
  19. Just for the record, when you replaced you PSU, did you use an official Line6 PSU? The reason I ask is the PSU for the PODxt outputs 9V AC, many times people purchase a PSU that outputs 9V DC.
  20. The license that came with your POD Studio is a hardware license, it is tied to that unit. But you can get POD Farm 1.12 for free.
