  1. Go to the downloads page and get The Line6 Monkey,
  2. http://line6.com/support/tickets/ You can also navigate there via the support link at the top of forum pages.
  3. Also, if you are using POD Farm make sure you are selecting the Line In's as the source, or if you are not using PF, you will need to make this selection in the Line6 Audio-MIDI control panel.
  4. That's the gist of it, plus alternate tunings. FWIW the Variax is considered legacy. No, the AMPLIFi and Variax do not integrate in any special way beyond a traditional electric. If you do decide to go try the Variax I would recommend confirming it is in working order and comes with the interface to connect to Workbench.
  5. Download the Line6 Updater for your Mac and use a regular USB chord like you would for a printer. Example: https://smile.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-USB-2-0-Cable--Male/dp/B00BCWALHM You can also use an iPad or iPhone via Bluetooth, but it takes much longer. Also download the AMPLIFQi Remote app for your iPad from the Apple store.
  6. Most black-faced units should be able to authorize PF2, unless it was registered by the first owner before the cut-off date, which IIRC was Oct of 2009. Does License Manger show PF2?
  7. When did you get the UX2? Is it a Red faced Toneport or a Black Faced POD Studio?
  8. Just for clarification, Monkey shows green ticks for drivers? You are plugging you headphones directly into the GX? Have you tried setting the GX as you default device in Windows?
  9. I'm pretty sure recording on Android is not currently supported. You could call Line6 or open a support ticket for an official answer.
  10. The POdxt can also do a hardware re-amping instead of a VST plug-in. So if you want you can record a clean track while monitoring the wet, then re-amp the clean with your PODxt. I did that for a couple years before buying the Gearbox Plug-in (which is now POD Farm).
  11. Did you run Monkey to get the latest drivers?
  12. Just for clarification, the same workflow was working fine before updating Windows? If so, check for any BIAS updates and run Monkey to make sure your GX has the latest drivers.
  13. Check the Line6 Audio-MIDI control panel to see what you are sending to your DAW.
  14. Are you sending it to the hardware?
  15. The amp out is meant to go into the front of a guitar amp (hitting its preamp). The cab and mic sims are not disabled on the amp out, it's just EQ'd different to try and accommodate a guitar amp's preamp, and is less then line level. The main outs are meant to go into power amps, FX returns, studio monitors, ect..., and are line level.
  16. I would recommend calling Line6 or opening a ticket.
  17. Try a factory reset, if that doesn't work try to reflash it.
  18. Try a different USB port. What OS are you using?
  19. Did you check the input setting on the POD? Make sure it is Guitar and not Variax.
  20. You don't necessarily need a 2nd interface if you use another computer/laptop. Reaper has a plug-in called Reainsert, I tried it a long time ago and honestly do not remember the details, but maybe with a look. http://wiki.cockos.com/wiki/index.php/ReaInsert
  21. It's not elegant, but you could use another computer and run the dry to the POD via analog outs of you computer or other interface. Better would be if Line6 would release an HD plug-in!!
