  1. I'll give you NYC Foods pretty decent Where I live has 5 or 6 Michelin starred restraunts <5miles London has the most per head of capita in the world so this American myth that it's all boiled beef and carrots I don't stand for I've been all over the US and let's say quality can be variable Any I'm back in NYC in April so looking forward to a Rueban
  2. Where are you from Cruisinon with all the great food?

  6. The bagpipes are a very important part of the mating ritual of the Haggis Without that noise to tell them the season has begun they would die out like Giant Pandas or Lepricauns
  7. When I do that I use a whammy bar to bend up in octaves to simulate the drone coming up at different speeds As a Scot and a cat lover I'm horrified at the suggested animal abuse. Bagpipes are sensitive nocturnal creatures that require a loving home and regular feeding
  8. 60 watt solid state amp is not that loud at all (in a lively environment) especially not for something as dynamic as the guitar I'm having a bit of a problem adjusting I have to say I've never gone 'full modelling' into a PA before as my main sound and I'm not getting enough punch or mid range I've got an EQ block for live with tons of low and high end chopped off , the global EQ has a bit too And the desk EQ is like Mount Kilimanjaro and still there is far too much bass and treble and not enough mid range I think my issue is I've chosen cab/mic IR models which are good at low volumes and tried to compensate for them at higher volumes with EQ I forget IRs are a static thing. They don't react to volume like a traditional cab would They are just exactly the same but louder I'm going to try changing to a munch middier cab for live use If I don't get anywhere though I'm going to ditch the amp modelling and use the fx straight into a couple of amps

  14. Since my Helix has been away since the 11th of Feb and since I have been unable to get an update from the service centre I've had to put together my G2 board You know what It sounds bloody amazing I'm so utterly pissed off at Line6 just now I might just relegate the Helix to backup duties They supply a faulty product and the working musician has to take it in the shorts while they fan you about trying to fix it Without even the basic manners of simple communication Received your helix investigating Found a fault with X Ordering spare component Etc It wouldn't kill someone to have simple common decency to let me know what the status is Instead you tip it into a black hole and hope it doesn't come out the other end with new faults you have to raise tickets for Total pish boys Total pish Anyway here's my own pedalboard https://flic.kr/p/DrmW8Y
  15. si pero tu tienes razon. I love Spain but it's not for people in a hurry... I lived in Madrid in the early 90s. I was part of the resident band "A Glasgow Kiss" that played in a Tex Mex restaurant called Cactus Charlie just off Gran Via And I used to play in L'Abotoria with Rafa Kas as well as Y'asta and other venues It was a crazy time :)
  16. I used to live in Madrid so soy familiar con el tiempo de espana ;)

    Boot time?

The only issue I could see is if you are playing in a venue with a limiter I had this with the M20D If it tripped the boot time was horrendous compared to an analogue desk Next time a UPS sorted the issue but that's the only problem I can think of unless there is a competitive set up and breakdown scene for guitar players that I'm unaware of ..
  20. If mine comes back like that I won't be as charitable
