Does Helix have the "Vetta Juice" stomp included? If not please add it.
-
Dunno about other ways (sorry), but If you are running Helix into a Firehawk 1500, you can do that via the bluetooth editor on the iPad/iPhone!
-
Nice one thanks for the report!

Hummm... Every 3db down is power cut by half, with 3db gain being the opposite. I wonder myself why this is there (A/B split) I.E. whats its purpose for reducing by 3db, and how would you use it?

Ah well then it is yer day job musically speaking LOL. Yea its important that it be stable....

I know they are busy right now, as always. But I tend to agree with you that if they are too short handed, then hire some more folks and quit running their operations like a grocery store... No offense intended and arm chair CEO's like me always have the easy answer, right? :D
-
I appreciate your opinion and I agree that Yamaha/Line-6 is much bigger an operation, but I think theres a huge difference between occasionally taking to one of the members of the staff versus a near daily conversation withs its CEO and maker. To me, that in itself go's beyond expectations. But, it is what it is. I wish I was a millionaire too... :P

Question about 'stereo' vs. 'stereo wide' mode in FH1500
spikey replied to ColonelForbin's topic in Firehawk 1500
The "free" mode has added bass because that is the mode to use when the Firehawk 1500 is off the floor, like on a stand or rack, etc. and the floor or wall isn't adding bass to the tone. The Atomic Clr has the same design for being on a stand and is bass heavy too in that switch setting. -
The best thing about Fractal Audio forums isn't its products, altho they are awesome. Its that you get to discuss the Axe FX and AX8 with its maker, on the forum, nearly every day! I would LOVE to see Line 6 have that kind of communication with its customers.

Good thing you were in a Church when you did that! ;)

Im gonna run a VoiceLive 3 (and a guitar thru the VL3) into the FH 1500. This should be enough processing power to run a small city... :D

Electro Harmonix octave / modulation pedals, e.g. HOG, POG, B9, etc
spikey replied to ChubbyJerk's topic in Helix
Kewl board!!! Now Im thinking B9 and Key9 for my Helix rack! -
In the past I have had a major retailer (one we all know) sell and ship me a product that had been sold, returned, repackaged, reshipped, and sold as new. That may not be refurbished, but its not right either. I focus like a laser beam on every package I get in just for that reason.

Glenn, I know that the Helix rack unit might not need protection as much, but I'm wondering if the rack units screen and floor units screen is the same size?
-
Well Im waiting on my Helix, but the Firehawk 1500 does have some amps and fx's that qualify what yer looking for, from your description. Just right at breakup... And if the FH 1500 has this Im pretty sure Helix has this in spades.
-
Im not sure about this, but Im thinking that you can't change the output of the mains separately ... But you could send the unbalanced pair to say an amp like the Firehawk 1500, and use its volume for that pair, and then send the XLR pair to the FOH or DAW and control that pair... Anyone?

IMO Helix (and a few others) should destroy the software tone wise. I have found over the years that "in general" good hardware guitar preamps "always" sound better than software thru the same speaker setup. Thats been my experience altho I have not listened to Amplitudes Mesa MkIII yet. As always YMMV.

Thanks for the writeup and glad its a go with FRFR live!

Heel down wah off feature for Mission pedals please....

There are bugs in everything released today, including gas powered fusion hammers. Its a way of life now. Line 6 does not repair hammers that I know of, but they are fixing the bugs in their products. Please see the updates in the downloads area for patch updates and fixes.
