    My Helix video

Love that organic "Bridge of Sighs" univiby goodness!
  2. Why are u using guitar in on the FH-1500 from Helix, instead of using both monitor ins?
  3. Im considering using cleans from the FH and then bringing in some Distorted tones on top from Helix via a volume pedal- stuff like this. I do like the tones from the Firehawk 1500 BTW, I have it tilted back and the AC-30 TB is just to die for... Edited: Just spent 2 hours with it this morning. Its my 1st day off work to have the time. I DL'ed a Clean Fender from the Tone locker and tweaked it to my liking. Man what a organic and good Fender sound! Keeper....
  4. just about a minute or so into the song, he go's from 2 PU position to 4th position where he plays from the 12th fret, then back to 2nd position when he cranks it at the turn around/start over ...
  5. Thats strange because the Line-6 Mission pedal is by design TS only, not TRS. So Im surprised it worked.
  6. I know its not a pure boost pedal, but it didnt seem to hurt Helix in this video...
  7. So the Vetta II long board with the two foot controllers will work with the FH1500 ?
  8. Jim, There are powered monitors, and then there are powered monitors that sound good for some things and not others, and then, well, you get the point I hope. The FH 1500 is not only a amp that can hold its own in a pinch, but according to those that have one, make the Helix sound great as well. Best of both worlds for about the same cost a single Atomic CLR, with a lot more options available for the guitar player.
  9. Besides that, IIRC the FC 7 uses a "stereo TRS" plug, and so it wouldn't work anyway.
  10. I do this without CAB IR on my Kemper (using a power amp and 1960a) and it sounds fantastic, but I just never could use an amp and cab setup with my Axe FX II. It just didn't sound right to me without using a FRFR powered kinda cab and IR's...
  11. I can, because this is an FRFR WATT heavy cab thats just made for Helix tones (on purpose or not), as well as a very nice stand alone amp that can hold its own too if and when needed. Both will be updated, and who's knows what might be added later. It can only get better from here. :D
  12. Needs a "Little more Grit" coming off the 4th PU and back to 2nd PU position for me, but nice playing none the less. :)
  13. Thanks for the info- what sounds good to me is usually my general answer, but it would be nice to know the questions you pose. Im not even sure this hasn't already been answered at some point. Anyone?

    Cleaning a helix

Kemper's are water proof, how else do ya get one from crossed the pond?
  15. Im thinking the same way except adding bass, keys, and drums...
  16. yawn... Im sure you told him...

    Cleaning a helix

Use a lightly dampend with water cloth. I wouldn't use anything stronger than that.
  18. Yes I need to monitor the Helix in a FH 1500 and route this to the main XLR outs as well, but as far as a guitar input to the FH-1500 goes, I haven't heard anyone use the "buffered out" of the Helix rack unit into the FH 1500 guitar input. I assume that this would work well too?
  19. Neat thing about the Firehawk 1500 is, you can run Helix into it, or use it stand alone, and then have the best of both worlds as well as future updates ;)
  20. The ears on these units are never built the same Im told... ;) :P
  21. An Editor with a "Scratch-Pad" area in it to load in IR's on the fly might be handy for this (wink wink)....
  22. And which one did you prefer? Also, the rack unit has a "Buffered dry guitar out" port, unlike the floor units...
