Each Ouput block itself has a level control. Select the block and increase it.

Aint it ridiculous there's no software for Android.
silverhead replied to NobodyOne14's topic in Line 6 Lounge
I understand your point, and I think Amplifi and Firehawk owners could say the same thing in reverse, as my edited version of your comments indicate. But Line 6 has developed two different product lines for the mobile iOS/Android vs. the tethered PC/Mac users. That's not likely to change so users need to first decide how they most want to use their device: mobile vs. tethered, and select the product accordingly. Perhaps we all would like the best of both worlds but that's not the direction Line 6 has chosen. -
Sorry - I thought you were talking about horizontally adjacent switches, but I see now you are talking about vertically adjacent switches. This is a common design complaint but at this point the hardware is not going to change. Some people have improved this situation by placing a riser of some sort (e.g. a piece of wood) beneath the back edge of the Firehawk device. This raises the position of the top row switches relative to the bottom row and makes it less likely that you mistakenly depress the bottom row switch while stomping on the top row switch.
-
It depends on how/where you connect theFirehawk FX loop cable to your amp. If you connect the cable to the regular guitar input on your amp the signal goes through your amp's preamp section. In that case you would not use an amp model in your Firehawk preset. However, if your amp has a separate input for its power amp section, which bypasses its preamp, then you are only using your amp for its poweramp and cab/speaker. In that case you would use an amp model (but no mic/cab) in your Firehawk preset.

You will still need to exit Looper mode (one switch) and then select a different snapshot (a 2nd switch action) to begin to apply FX to the recorded dry tone.
-
If I understand, you want to hear the dry tone and not the FX while recording. The setup I described does record the dry tone, but you hear the final output including FX. You're correct that you do not hear the dry tone either while recording or on playback. You could use Snapshots to do what you want. Still place the looper at the front of the chain but create a snapshot that has all amps and FX turned off. Create other snapshots that have your preferred different combinations of amps and FX turned on. After recording the dry tone (and hearing it while recording) playback of the dry tone will start immediately. Switch to a different snapshot to then hear the FX being applied.
-
Good. I find the setup with looper in front to be very useful for hands-free tone tweaking. You record a phrase, put the guitar down, start playback and start tweaking. You can concentrate fully on the subtleties of the tone adjustments and hear the immediate impact.
-
The Send/Return pairs on the rear panel are aligned differently than on most devices. Double check the jack labels and make sure that you are not actually using the Send jacks rather than the 1 and 3 Return jacks.

There is no feature that allows you to disable the up/down switches on the Firehawk FX. I presume you mean that your foot unintentionally depresses the bank switches when you are stomping on the adjacent FS1 or A switches? The switch layout is such that there is the same distance between switches Up and FS1 as there is between, say, FS1 and FS2. Do you have the same problem when stomping on FS2, that you accidentally trip FS1? I'm afraid the solution is to practice your stomping accuracy.
-
What do you mean by turn the banks off? What are you trying to achieve? And, yes, the looper is not adequate for live performances. It's OK for hands free tone tweaking (pre-position) or for practicing leads over short chord progressions (post-position).

How I do lower latency in Reaper?
silverhead replied to Strizay's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
You can easily remove the latency while recording by using headphones connected to the Pod. During playback through your normal setup there will be no latency. You'll have to mute the audio on your home theatre system while recording and unmute for playback. For best results you should purchase a pair of studio monitors and connect them to the Pod audio outputs. A home theatre system unavoidably colours your sound. It will be very difficult to master the recording so that it sounds good on any other system. -
Workbench doesn't see JTV-59

The only thing you didn't mention is power. Is your JTV battery fully charged and in place? -
What's Happening With The M20D?
silverhead replied to StuMur's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
I'm glad to hear that this was just confusion and that the StageScape/Source product lines are not discontinued. As a Canadian too I'm glad that this misinformation on the part of Yorkville and Long & McQuade is being cleared up. I have also noticed a distinct lack of inventory with these products at both of my local L&M stores. I haven't yet had a a problem ordering or renting but haven't actually had the need so can't comment on the availability in those situations. Thanks for your efforts in getting this cleared up.- 23 replies

You accomplish this by placing the looper at the front of the signal chain. The looper then records the dry incoming signal and on playback feeds the signal into the chain at the same point. During playback you exit Looper mode. All your processing blocks as well as their switch assignments are then used normally to affect the signal. There is no need to make additional assignments to the Play switch.

Is your Pod device registered to your Line 6 account? Note that this offer only applies to new devices, purchased during the qualifying period. If your device is used or purchased before Sept. 1 the offer does not apply.
-
Both outputs work simultaneously but as clay-man stated Line 6 recommends that you not do this. Can you not place your vocal harmonizer in the HD500X FX Loop?
-
What bundle are you talking about?
-
That is all correct. The delay between A and B may not be noticeable to you, and if it is you can probably adapt your playing style very slightly to make it unnoticeable.

Metallica Sanitarium Intro Clean - Piano note sound...
silverhead replied to 80sMetalDude's topic in POD HD
Suggestion: connect an iPhone or something like it to the HD500X cd/MP3 input. On the iPhone run a soft-synth piano app. I expect you could do it with the basic/free version of GarageBand. -
VDI cable stuck in guitar jack
silverhead replied to Bangha's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
I have also found that the spring-loaded VDI jack cover on the JTV sometimes catches on the cable shield and provides resistance against a smooth unplugging. I have to retract the cover with one hand, press on the clip with the other hand and then find a free finger or two to unplug the cable. -
What's Happening With The M20D?
silverhead replied to StuMur's topic in StageScape Mixer / StageSource Speakers
Like SiWatts69 I would also be very interested in where you found your 'official' information. Like your Yorkville Unity system, the M20d and the SatageSource speakers are still actively sold and serviced today afaik (pending verification of your 'official' info). As for ongoing improvement of mixers and speakers, there was a major update after the initial release. As for Android support - again, please point us to a Line 6 announcement or statement that this was ever indicated. What's the basis of your 'understanding'? If it was an assumption on your part, that's not Line 6's fault.- 23 replies

HELP -- JTV59 wont "turn on"
silverhead replied to lwilliams's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
These two things indicate that the signal is not reaching the Pod for processing. Although the VDI connection is providing power it does not seem to be carrying the guitar signal. One of the VDI jacks or its internal board/soldering is faulty - either on the JTV or on the Pod. To determine which its faulty you will need to test the JTV/VDI connection with another VDI-equipped Pod device. If the JTV works with another device then it's the Pod that's faulty; if it still doesn't work with the other device then it's the JTV that's faulty. I would open a support ticket. They're both Line 6 products and Line 6 tech support can help you diagnose the exact issue and help arrange any required repair. -
If there is I haven't found it. I find it necessary to use a temporary patch location. Rearranging two patches is a 3-step process (unless both patches are already in My Tones): copy the first patch to the temporary location, copy the second patch to overwrite the first patch in its original location, then copy the first patch from the temporary location to its destination.

1) Yes. 2) I don't think so but I'm not 100% sure. I believe each FS can only be assigned to a single FX. 3) No. You need to use different presets for different amps. 4) Yes, although it's difficult to do this 'live' and keep the tempo. It's great for practice. 5) Yes to the first question; no to the second. There is a small lag/gap in the sound. It is not an issue in most cases but depending on your musical/playing style it can be noticeable.
