The HD500(x) outputs need to be connected to a powered speaker. Is your cab powered?

Let's stay in the playing field. I'm sure there are plenty of political opinion forums that are appropriate for this.

Yes - reinstalling requires a computer and interface. -
M9 Delays Either Notes Or Timed, Can't Change Between The Two...
silverhead replied to pedrohead's topic in M5 / M9 / M13
You could also try reinstalling the firmware. -
You asked three questions. 1) who told you the remote app would NEVER be compatible with Android? 2) where did you see/read that Bluetooth IS compatible with the remote app? 3) nobody knows for sure. Line 6 will tell us if/when it is.

Search the forum under 'calibrate hd300'.

Using Usb From Pod And M-audio Soundcard
silverhead replied to bardo's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
The ASIO protocol requires that the same audio device be used for input and output; you can't use both under true ASIO. Asio4all is a non-ASIO compliant implementation that claims to allow you to use different devices. It works for some, but in many cases it causes problems when used with true ASIO devices like the Line 6 devices. It is not supported by Line 6. Use at your own risk. If you want to use your M-audio device with your POD, disconnect the pod USB and connect its analog audio outputs to your m-audio inputs. -
After arming the track to record, what input source from the POD HD500 are you selecting(1, 2, or 1+2)? Are you sure your POD preset/patch is sending sound/signal to the POD outputs corresponding to this source?
-
That's what BigChas52 was saying. Your version of Audacity does not seem to support ASIO..... Which means it can see but not use your POD..... Which means you need another recording program that will work with your POD ..... Like reaper.

Yes - just the adapters will work fine; no need for the full cables. The HD Desktop outputs are balanced, but over short distances unbalanced cables will be just fine.

Connecting Stereo Keyboard To Pod Hd500x Possible?
silverhead replied to LutherDeLorme's topic in POD HD
You might also find (not 100% sure) that you need to insert a dummy plug into the HD500 FX Send jack to enable the FX Loop. -
The Line 6 ASIO driver is native. In other words when you say you have the latest HD500 driver installed, that includes the ASIO driver. However, you must still select the ASIO driver, in addition to selecting the HD500 device, in your Audacity configuration. If audacity shows that you are using ASIO4ALL, that is very likely the problem.
-
Use Gearbox. The Tone name field is an editable field. Select the tone name field. When the name is highlighted type in the new name. Make sure to hit the ENTER key on your computer to complete the process.
-
Make sure audacity is configured to use the POD's ASIO driver not ASIO4ALL.

It needs servicing.

Test this exactly: - connect your guitar to Guitar In (using guitar and cable you have already verified to be working). - set preset Input 1 to include Guitar. - engage the Tuner. If you don't see the tuner responding to your guitar signal then your HD500x has a hardware problem at the input. It needs servicing.

Support Requests Blown Off With "assumed Answered"
silverhead replied to fgksh11's topic in POD Farm / POD Studio / TonePort
Might also want to check your email spam filter. Sometimes they will ask for more info by email, and if that's not answered you will later receive the message that you did. -
No. It adjusts the active amp, as indicated in the LCD display.

No they have not discontinued support for the POD HDs. -
Make sure you have a cord plugged into the 1/4" jack on the JTV. That is the power switch for the JTV.

Jtv59 Cutting Out
silverhead replied to nealwilltucker's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
No - the mags do not need the battery. There must be a loose connection somewhere. With the mags it's just a standard guitar; ant guitar tech should be able to diagnose it. However if it's still under warranty I would take it to a Line 6 service center. -
When the POD is connected to your computer it becomes your soundcard. You need to connect your speakers to the POD outputs to hear the sound.

There are dozens (probably more) threads already in this forum that deal with exactly this. I think you'll learn a lot by doing a little searching and reading here. Reading the manual is a good start, too. Then you will have some specific questions to help you further once you've got the basics.

The OP is talking, correctly, about a limitation in the HD300/400 re: tempo. On all POD HD devices the Tap Tempo switch is used to define the 1/4 note tempo. In all POD HD devices except the 300/400, you can select a tempo parameter in terms of note durations that further refines the timing. For instance, you can select the tempo to be dotted 1/8 notes, in which case the device automatically makes an adjustment to the Tapped tempo so that the FX tempo is a dotted 1/8 note rather than a 1/4 note duration. The HD300/400 do not allow you to specify anything other than the default 1/4 note for the tap tempo. Any other tempo has to be manually entered in terms of specific milliseconds. Calculation and subsequent manual entry is required if, for instance, you want a dotted1/8 note delay in 120bpm. I have no specific comment on his opinion re: the severity of this limitation, but it is real. There are other limitations that I find more troublesome, but that doesn't diminish his opinion of this limitation.
